I love this place! So happy it's here. Especially glorious manti and samsa. Such a cute place too!

    a menu for a restaurant

The cuisine is Uzbek, which is closely related to the Uigur one, but has its own tricks. I loved the Plov (pilaf). It was as good as it gets. Samsa was excellent too. Now I am anxious to try the rest of the menu. Aword of warning - if you want to dine in, you should call in advance, as it gets very busy (all booked) on weekends and the place is rather small. I liked ethnic decor an sofa-like seating. Parking is easy - between street parking along the Beacon st and a few lots around Coolidge corner Overall - hghly recommended; if you'll like this type of cuisine, you will love Uzbegim.

Such a good spot for a cozy filling meal. STEAMED CHICKEN GYOZA Soft tender and packed with a juicy chicken filling. The wrapper had the perfect bite and dipping it in the ginger sauce made it even better. A great starter. FRIED PORK GYOZA Crispy outside juicy inside and so flavorful. The pork filling was seasoned well and the crunch made each bite so satisfying. These were gone instantly. DAC BIET A rich beef broth loaded with rare steak brisket tripe tendon and meatballs. So much flavor and such a generous portion. Comforting, savory and the kind of bowl that warms you instantly. MI WONTON Light clean and comforting. The wontons were stuffed generously and the broth was flavorful without feeling heavy. A great balance to the richer bowls we ordered. SPICY MISO BEEF STEW This was incredible. Spicy miso broth with tender slow cooked beef and all the toppings. The spice level actually enhanced the flavor instead of overpowering it. Deep savory and so satisfying. TAN TAN MEN One of my favorites. Spicy creamy broth with ground pork bok choy and bean sprouts layered over chewy noodles. Rich bold and full of flavor in every bite. We also added marinated soft boiled eggs to our ramen and they were perfect. Soft jammy and full of flavor. Highly recommend adding one to any bowl. Overall Soup Shack really hit my craving. Everything tasted fresh portions were generous and the spicy bowls had so much depth. Loved this visit and will definitely be back.

My true rating would be a 3.5/3.75. Great option if you're looking for a quick, casual meal in…read moreBoston. Ordering was easy. You order at the counter, find a seat, and the food comes out pretty quickly. We had the summer rolls and the vegan ramen. The summer rolls were fresh and flavorful, and the peanut sauce was especially good. The vegan ramen was also enjoyable, with good-quality ingredients and a satisfying broth. My only real critique is that I wish there were more options to add heat. I tend to like my noodle soups on the spicier side, and I would have loved more chili oil, hot sauce, or other spicy condiments to customize the flavor. There was also SO much broccoli and that really took over the soup, I wish there was a bit more variability or balance in the veggies. Overall, the food was tasty, the quality was solid, and the service was fast.

I might get some angry comments for saying this but pho Viet has the best cold cut banh mi in all of Massachusetts!! I will post again when I go next time and get some pictures. As someone who was born and raised in Dorchester, And ba Le was the only spot we would go. With inflation and increase in cost, I felt like the quality just kept lacking. The cold cuts are extremely thin and lack amounts of butter and pate. Pho Viet banh mi are so filling the ham was the right about of thickness that it gives a good texture when you bite into it, the veggies are extremely fresh and not does look like it's been sitting out all day. Even my parents ask me to grab them some every time I visit them in Dorchester!! Must try!!!

Exceptional Food and Modern Ambiance - Definitely Try the Tofu!…read more From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the restaurant's modern, clean, and neat setting. The food was exceptional across the board. If you're visiting, absolutely try the tofu--it's what they specialize in and it's outstanding. I ordered the Spicy BBQ chicken with scallion pancakes. The chicken had a perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors, which I really appreciated. The scallion pancakes were definitely authentic--far superior to most restaurants I've tried. The service was quick and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food in a welcoming atmosphere!

I first received some banchan - cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, fried fish cake, and stewed radish strips. They were all excellent. The cabbage kimchi had a rich seafood stock flavor with some smokiness to it. The radish kimchi had actually absorbed flavor rather than just sitting in brine. The fish cake had a hondashi-like umami, and the sliced onions tasted like they came out of a gyudon - soaked through with soy sauce. They also brought out a small sample of their housemade tofu before the main dish. It was soft and silky. The seafood soondubu ($18.99) was equally excellent. The tofu had enough flavor to stand on its own; it wasn't just a protein filler. The seafood had some smokiness/ wok hei to it, which wouldn't be out of place in a bowl of jjampong. The soondubu here might be a couple of dollars more than other nearby establishments, but it's well worth it.

There also seems to be a main HEN location in Somerville, but the menu here didn't match what's listed online, which made things harder to navigate. The old business's yelp (Fiya Hen) is still active. Unsure if it's under the same management, just a rebrand or something else. That said, we did enjoy the live music, since it added a fun atmosphere to the night. Service:Service was slow, likely because only two staff members appeared to be working on a Friday night. Our drinks arrived when we were already more than halfway through our meal, even though they were the first thing we ordered. Margarita Desuka:Nothing particularly memorable. The plum powder rim was a nice and unique touch, but I personally missed the classic salted rim. Overall, it tasted like a standard margarita. Soy Garlic Burger:Unfortunately too salty, which overwhelmed the other flavors. The Nest:Decent overall. The fries were light and airy but could have been crispier. Final Thoughts:A mixed experience...the live music and atmosphere were enjoyable, but service timing and menu clarity made the visit feel a bit disorganized.

Its a small space with a modern trendy feel. I loved the menus and the concept of pairing your cocktails with certain streetfood, there were lots of fun options. Cocktails are pricey but on par with other boston bars. I had the storm of the Jupiter - which tasted like a thai tea, I thought it was just sweet enough, matched the described flavor profile, and appreciated it wasn't too strong. I also had a sip of the green line which was a bit too strong for my tasting, but my boyfriend enjoyed it and the fruity flavor.
