I love this place! So happy it's here. Especially glorious manti and samsa. Such a cute place too!

    a menu for a restaurant

The cuisine is Uzbek, which is closely related to the Uigur one, but has its own tricks. I loved the Plov (pilaf). It was as good as it gets. Samsa was excellent too. Now I am anxious to try the rest of the menu. Aword of warning - if you want to dine in, you should call in advance, as it gets very busy (all booked) on weekends and the place is rather small. I liked ethnic decor an sofa-like seating. Parking is easy - between street parking along the Beacon st and a few lots around Coolidge corner Overall - hghly recommended; if you'll like this type of cuisine, you will love Uzbegim.

It has a spoonful of mango syrup which enhances the shaved snow. So definitely pour on that delicious mango syrup! The mango is so fresh and it is creatively put together to enjoy! The pandan toast is warm and has a light crisp to it. Not a strong flavor, but it suits the toast very well to enjoy. I also like the toast a lot! The ice cream croffle is another great choice to try! The strawberry ice cream is mixed in with fresh fruit pieces and is mixed in a flavorful texture to the croffle. Overall, I am a big fan of Oasit's and it is a favorite dessert spot! I have always enjoyed desserts where the dessert is "not too sweet" and all the desserts here were delicious. I highly recommend this cozy dessert spot to go with friends, family or date. The staff is very nice and friendly. I like the ambiance and environment that is filled with anime.

The display in the front with all the figurines and product samples is the cutest thing you will see all day. We happened to get a freshly baked one which was fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious! Also, it must be said that their service is A+. Their staff are truly such kind folks - always smiling and making friendly conversation with their customers. Turns out they were testing a new dough for the Shio Bread so they even gave us one on the house to try. The kind gesture was very sweet and much appreciated!

We got here right when they opened so they were still preparing the premium onigiri for the day. Service was very friendly - order at the register and pick up your food when ready. We did order one of each - Chashu & Aji-Tama (Braised Pork & Egg) - this was one of my favorites, flavorful and fresh. Karage - Probably our second favorite - the chicken was tender. Spicy Karage - similar to the regular karage but I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy mayo Takana (Pickled Mustard Leaf) - this one was surprising but very good and a little spicy. I also ordered their Cherry Blossom Tea and the Hojicha Latte. Both were good teas. I did some shopping here too as they had a variety of snacks, teas and other trinkets. They have a small little refrigerated fresh food section where you can also get onigiri and other foods. Very cute spot and good amount of seating inside. Nice, quiet and calming inside. Would definitely come back.

I need to try the curry katsu next time because I see so many people ordering those. Sometimes they have food demonstrations from Japan and they are always so nice! I recently was nearby this location on a hot summer evening, and decided to stop in to finally try it out again. Summer and ice cream is a good pair. Going inside, you order by yourself on kiosks, not at the counter. There are signs to guide you to the iPads to order, but if it's crowded inside, this isn't the most intuitive thing for a newcomer. The ordering kiosks are practically the furthest location from the entrance. It was crowded when I went, but mostly with people eating their ice cream or waiting for an order so once I found the kiosk, I was able to order pretty quickly. Even with a bunch of people hanging out on a summer night, I was impressed that my order was ready pretty quickly (less than 5 minutes from placing the order). I decided to get the Vegan Kookaberry (vegan vanilla base) with blueberry and mango New Zealand style. It was good and serving was acceptable, but mine started to melt pretty quickly and was dripping over the side of my cup (about 5 minutes after getting it). Also, it is on the pricier side for ice cream, even without adding on things like toppings. For any non-dairy folks, you have to pay extra for the vegan substitution, which I genuinely find annoying. I do like that each order is made on the spot and you can customize flavors from time to time. I would go back again to try other options, but I personally wouldn't go out of my way for it.
