Spicy miso soup, brewed Earl gray latte, negi toro hand rolls, and the sashimi bowl at our favorite seat by the window - A person is seated at a wooden table near a large window, eating ramen with chopsticks in a Japanese market and eatery.

I'm not kidding we come here multiple times a week, I can personally vouch for any of their sashimi bowls which are grab and go, and their hand rolls (specially the negi tuna toro oh my goodness). I also get the spicy miso ramen quite often and LOVE it. They also have wonderful hot tea and matcha lattes and a wide selection of food, loose leaf tea, and gift items. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could it's a wonderful place. It's order at the counter style and they call your name when it's ready, it's always very clean and everyone is very nice.

Great food. Great dessert. Great ambiance. Highly recommended trying this when you're in the area. The place is unique. Self-service.

It's $50 for the regular AYCE or $80 for the Premium AYCE. We opted for the former, and it was plenty great. We have done lots of AYCE sushi and I will say this is the BEST of them - I think it's because it's the same grade sushi as they would normally do Ala carte on other nights. The $50 menu had plenty of sashimi and regular nigiri (sushi with rice) options and some Thai too. We had mostly the sashimi Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail, Octopus, a few rolls, some edamame, gyoza, shumai. My favorites were the salmon, as the cuts were large, thick and amazing silky, and the gyoza, as it was perfectly crispy. The Pad Thai was bit way too sweet for my taste - a skip for me next time. The decor is very nice - reminded me of a dive Tokyo bar. Service was quick and very attentive. We will be back!

You have a choice between a standard menu of items for $40 or a premium menu (includes standard) for $80. The $40 AYCE menu is pretty awesome. Alot of sushi and Thai options. Good selection of nigiri or sashimi. The basics of salmon, tuna, shrimp and all of your standard sushi options. Also includes various sushi rolls. You can get appetizers like gyoza and edamame even. . This menu also has Thai dishes like pad thai Of course had to try the premium which includes Otoro, uni and wagyu as the highlights. There are some upgraded appetizers and rolls also in this menu. Unfortunately, but understandably, uni is limited to 4 per person. No limits on the other items. The otoro and uni were excellent. Same for the wagyu and salmon. Mixed in some pieces of sweet shrimp, scallop, lean tuna and more just to round out the meal. I ate 40 pieces of sushi. Which more or less is $2.50 per piece after including a tip and tax. Was it worth it? I can probably say the for $80 you can get a ton of great sushi. They definitely don't downgrade the quality for the deal. Could I do this weekly? Probably not. I left so full. The $80 menu kind of compelled me to order more than I might eat normally. The$40 meal includes dishes like pad thai anyway so I think i could go back and do a sushi pregame and finish with some Thai food. That $40 is definitely worth it. Anyway, you should try this deal once before it goes. I don't think it's permanent. $80 for the premium is only worth it if you love Uni and otoro. Service was great. The inside was busy. The deal is popular. The inside of the place is warm and inviting even while packed.

Maybe not for everyone, as the kelp flavor is very strong. The chicken was dry and overcooked, and felt like they just dropped some chicken in a boiling pot of water for too long. Yaki Shoyu (6.5/10): This is the only one where I thought the broth was only fine. I think their other options are better. Spicy Miso (7.5/10): Broth and pork were both delicious. Sesame Miso (8/10): Broth fantastic. Crushing your own sesame is a highlight. Awesome sesame flavors. Noodles were good across the board. Great amount of chew. I would avoid ordering the ramen egg. It was very poorly cooked and 3/4 of the way to hard-boiled (and cost $2!). Prices have gone up over the past year. $20/$21 for a bowl of ramen is still pretty steep. tl;dr: The broth and noodles are fantastic. There are a lot of small issues with their dishes that could be improved on, though.

We did order one of each - Chashu & Aji-Tama (Braised Pork & Egg) - this was one of my favorites, flavorful and fresh. Karage - Probably our second favorite - the chicken was tender. Spicy Karage - similar to the regular karage but I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy mayo Takana (Pickled Mustard Leaf) - this one was surprising but very good and a little spicy. I also ordered their Cherry Blossom Tea and the Hojicha Latte. Both were good teas. I did some shopping here too as they had a variety of snacks, teas and other trinkets. They have a small little refrigerated fresh food section where you can also get onigiri and other foods. Very cute spot and good amount of seating inside. Nice, quiet and calming inside. Would definitely come back.

The hostess was very kind and accommodating. I have high suspicions this place is owned by Chinese people based on some clues, such as Chinese style noodles on the ramen menu and steamed pork buns as an appetizer. We got the beef noodle soup which was excellent (albeit not expected in a Japanese restaurant!). It was actually a little spicy. Came with lots of beef and a flavorful and rich broth. We got two of the special rolls, Kiss of Fire and (I think) Torched Yellowtail, which were both tasty. No complaints there! For our appetizer we got sashimi salad, composed of strips of several kinds of raw fish (salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail) and some surimi and avocado on top of a bed of greens. There was a ponzu like sauce on the side. Although fresh and not bad tasting, I think this was a bit plain. Overall though, the prices and vibes were good and I'd come back!

Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. I ordered the Gankara Miso. The chashu was easily the highlight, very tender with nice seasoning on the outer layer and clearly well prepared. The ground beef had some decent flavor, but overall it didn't really add much to the bowl. The broth was thicker and creamier than I expected for a miso, it reminded me more of a tonkotsu and while it had some heat, it was surprisingly lacking in depth. Outside of the spice, there wasn't much flavor coming through, which was disappointing given how rich it looked. I really wanted to love this spot, especially after waiting so long to finally try it. I might give it another shot and try a different bowl in the future, but based on this visit, I left feeling underwhelmed.
