Very adorable little boba shop near Fenway! We stop here occasionally when we're shopping at hmart, and I'm always happy with my boba order. They have a large menu and great service, and even some food options which look delicious. They have a couple of tables and some board games, perfect if you need a place to meet up with friends. I really enjoy coming here to try all their different flavors and plan to try their food sometime as well. Though it's not the most unique boba I've tried, I will absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area.
Lychee Lime Green Tea with Tapioca* TBaar Been looking forward to tbaar after Bar'Cino for dinner she was sour. As far as i can tell there was barely any lychee and only lime, i even tried to adjust sugar but they said the syrup is set which is probably good bc id die of sourness if there was less sugar in it. At least the tea was fresh and cold and there was a real lime in it , cool boba was average, little hard i think yay boba 6/10
If I could drink Tbaar's Watermelon Milk Shake with boba every day, I would! I order a large every time I go because it's *that* tasty and refreshing. The sweetness and texture of the drink is always consistent, and I can count on the boba tasting soft and chewy. If you're in a rush, I'd recommend placing an order for pickup (I use Uber Eats). Otherwise, you typically only have to wait 5-10 minutes unless it's very busy. The store accepts Apple Pay, and there's some seating inside and outside. Aside from the boba, my favorite part is the cute decor! There are plenty of plushies that make the store cozy and welcoming. There's a Gengar plushie when you pay (and other Pokémon on the walls)!
Ordered brown sugar bubble milk tea through Uber eats and I think they accidentally gave me brown sugar milk instead... If there was any tea in my drink then it was very subtle. The boba portion was huge and although the pearls were a bit stuck together by the time I got my order, they were easy to separate with a good shake. The pearls were cooked very nicely- super chewy but not overcooked to the point of being mushy. I tried my drink with 50% sugar. I noticed that the sweetness in "brown sugar" series drinks is always tricky to navigate because you don't want to sacrifice the yummy brown sugar syrup even if you want a drink that's less sweet! For my taste I would probably opt for 25% sugar next time (I tend to order 25-50% sweetness at bubble tea shops). They have a lot of smoothie options here and the prices are reasonable. Anyone who loves chewy pearls should keep this place on their radar!
If you're looking for a cute place to just sit and chill with your friends, this place is good for that! The space itself is small but cozy with games like Uno provided if you wanted to play. The drink itself that we got was decent nothing too special, but definitely there were other options that looked pretty good to try! I would definitely come back here to try the other menu options. The staff are also very fast at making the drinks and were friendly!
Coming to so many Boba shops is traumatizing. It's almost too much TBear. This is a really friendly TBaar with nice employees which is why it pains me to say that it's just as bad as every other TBaar I've been to. I actually drank more of this milk tea than I probably have any other TBaar drink I've ever had and I've had plenty, but the consistent thing that I keep noticing is that it just doesn't do it for me. I kind of wanted a fruit drink anyway but they don't make any of them with black tea - not any of the ones I was interested in anyway and they wouldn't go off menu for me - so I just got a milk tea and it was the floral kind that I can't stand and I'll try again, some other time some other place.
Oh my gosh! Teabaar is absolutely the best Boba I have ever had. So glad I found this place while looking for Boba spots on Yelp. I am in love with their dragon fruit tea! The nice big chunks of fresh fruit are so yummy with their delicious, fragrant tea and soft, chewy Boba. We tried the takoyaki while we were here as well. It was pretty good, but we found the squid to be tough, which was a little disappointing, but the tea makes up for it! We would love to try the crepe cakes they had advertised in the future! The staff here is super friendly as well, and they are following all covid guidelines, which made us feel very safe.
Both the taro and mango green tea bubble tea were fantastic! What I love about this place is that when I order bubble tea with no sugar, the drink is not sweet! In so many bubble tea places, the tea base itself is sweet so when you ask for no sugar, the drink still ends up being sweet because of the base, but not here. I also love their variety of fruit tea flavors.
This place is amazing! Glad we ordered before five different parties came in to order. I ordered the dragon fruit tea with mixed fruit jellies and it is so worth it because it has fresh pieces of dragon fruit and mixed berries as well. This venue is following COVID regs and asking people to wait outside if it's at max capacity.
Back after a few months. We got strawberry cheese foam, Dragon Fruit foam cheese, brown sugar milk tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Matcha. Also got Taiwanese fried chicken popcorn and mango crepe cake. Both Cheese Foam drinks were delicious. The strawberry on was so favorful. The brown sugar drinks are decent. The Popcorn Chicken was alright but the Mango Crepe Cake was a winner. The bit of mango in it was perfect. Definitely will be back for more
Tbaar is always a dependable option when you're looking for a solid bubble tea! Taste/Quality: I got the grapefruit & yogurt drink with boba which was surprisingly tasty and had real slices of grapefruit in it! Plenty of fresh boba and it was a good mix of fruity & creamy flavors. Variety: huge selection of milk teas, fruit teas, cheese foam drinks, and smoothies. It's a huge menu. Vibe: the shop is kind of located half underground; it's a little dark, small store next to a florist shop. Staff was not super friendly and I couldn't connect to their WiFi. Only a few tables inside and 2 small tables outside as well. I don't think I would come here to study or work. Price: Decently average, about $5.30 for a medium sized drink with a very secure lid.
Glad to finally try one of the few bubble tea places in the brookline area! However, gotta say that I was a bit underwhelmed. I ordered a taro hot bubble tea and found it be be pretty average. Not bad, but not amazing either. In addition to the bubble tea being average, the seating here is sooo limited...which makes me less inclined to come here. There are only two tables that can seat 4 people and two very tiny high tables that seat 2 people each. & the overall space is very cramped and small. Not to say they didn't try because the place is cutely decorated and they have tons of board games that you can play with. However, with such limited seating, this isn't quite the ideal hang out or study spot. I would be inclined to come back if I find myself in the area and need bubble tea on the go--but would also not go out of my way to come here!
Cute little bubble tea place with a small seating area! Got an unsweetened jasmine green tea with lychee jelly which was just the right amount of sweetness since the lychee jelly added some sugar to it.
Tbarr - A Hidden Gem for Winter Specials & Authentic Jianbing in Brookline Location: Tbarr, 1038 Beacon St, Brookline, MA 02446 Tbarr in Brookline is bringing something fresh and exciting to the area with their winter special drinks and a massive Chinese crepe (Jianbing, 煎饼) that's unlike anything I've had before! Drinks - Fresh & Flavorful Their Strawberry and Golden Pineapple drinks are made with real fresh fruit, making them a refreshing and vibrant treat. The fruit flavors shine through, delivering a natural sweetness without being overly sugary. Perfectly balanced and great for a winter pick-me-up! Chinese Crepe (Jianbing) - A Must-Try! The Jianbing, a traditional Chinese street food, was huge--literally the size of my head! It came packed with egg, sausage, and pork floss, making it a hearty and satisfying meal. The crepe itself was light and crispy on the outside while holding all the savory goodness inside. It had a great mix of textures and flavors, from the soft egg to the slightly crunchy pork floss, and was well-seasoned without being too overpowering. Definitely a solid 8/10 and something I'd come back for! Final Thoughts With its unique offerings and authentic flavors, Tbarr stands out in Brookline's food scene. Whether you're stopping by for a fresh fruit drink or a filling Chinese crepe, this spot is worth a visit. I highly recommend checking them out! I didn't really like the milk tea. Kinda tasted like chocolate Rice Krispies. The boba texture was good though, nice and bouncy. I love the grapefruit tea, very refreshing. My husband got the Thai lime green tea and that was really good too. read more
I must be one of the few people to come here and not order a drink at all. I had heard that their snacks were good, so I stopped by for a quick bite to eat before heading to the park nearby. I ordered the Luxury Crepe A (Green Bean Dough, Egg, Crisper, Lettuce, Sausage) for $8.95 and it was great - I'd definitely stop by here again for another next time I'm nearby! It also only took a few minutes to make, so it's definitely something you can quickly grab while you're walking around the area. Luxury Crepe A ($8.95) - Although $8.95 feels a little high for the ingredients in this, it was actually quite good. The "crisper" is a large sheet of fried wonton and gave a great crunch that didn't get soggy over time. The green bean dough tasted like a normal crepe, but the egg and green onion added a nice flavor. There was a hoisin sauce as well which added a sweet/savory flavor, and the "sausage" is actually a hotdog, so I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a Chinese sausage. Still though, the portion size was pretty good and I was very content with the volume of food in this order. It isn't the perfect 5/5, but it's a solid 4/5 for a delicious bite to eat under $10. I'll definitely be getting this again! read more

I'm glad I gave TBaar a second chance because I really enjoyed my visit this time. The first time I came, I didn't think my green milk tea was anything special and the tapioca pearls were a little hard with no flavor. I personally only care for honey boba where the tapioca is a little sweet. My friend liked her smoothie though. I decided to come back today because I saw that they started offering split cups, where you can order a drink with two different beverages. This is a bit pricier than just a solo beverage, but I don't mind paying a bit more if the drinks are good. My drink came out to be a little over $6 after tax. I didn't get any toppings (additional charge) since I wasn't pleased the last time and didn't want to take the chance. I got one side green milk tea and the other side lychee lime green tea and both were requested with less sugar. I asked for both 25% sugar. However, the lychee lime could only be adjusted to 75% sugar according to the employee, and I'm guessing it's because the green tea is flavored with lychee syrup that is sugary. I'm glad that he was kind enough to tell me but it turned out great and not too sweet when I got it. Both teas had a strong jasmine green tea flavor which was delicious and refreshing. I'm not sure if maybe the quality is inconsistent which is why my first time wasn't great, so my review may change the next time I come back, but as for now, I definitely recommend!! read more

The juices and smoothies are a must-try! There aren't a lot of places with green juice/smoothies around Boston, so TBaar really stands out to me for that. I ordered their Mr. Green Smoothie for the past few visits. No water or sugar is added so it's pretty refreshing and natural. Although the smoothie is a bit thick, it's flavorful considering all the ingredients put into it. The interior design of TBaar is very simple and cute. Polaroids are posted on sections of the wall. Menus are displayed on TV's. Outlets are next to most of the tables for charging. The WIFI password is also posted on the outlet. From the past few times I visited, there's always somewhere to sit even if it's a bit crowded. It's generally a nice place to chat with friends after a meal or to study, but know that there is no restroom if you have too much fluid in you! I would recommend others to try TBaar out, especially the smoothies. I'll definitely be coming back! read more
New food options at Tbaar! Northern Chinese style egg crepes and tea eggs! This cafe serves a whole boatload more options than most boba places. At first, I thought they were a stand-out for serving fresh, made-to-order fruit/veggie smoothies, but now they also have real food! I only wish they wouldn't advertise a savory tofu dish when they don't actually serve it yet. This is like chinese street food truck meets taiwanese boba meets west coast healthy smoothie craze. Tbaar also has a mountain of games to play, strong wifi, and tables for sitting. I think they just need a bathroom haha. read more
Boba drinks are spot on at this location. They have a unique white pearl that is made from seaweed. It's pretty interesting texture and not for everyone but worth a try. They also have tons of games including Jenga, uno, Chinese checkers. So you can sit down and relax and play some games. Unfortunately they don't have a public restroom and they tell you to use the one at whole foods. read more

The first time I came to try Tbarr they closed 30min before closing time, we knocked on the door and even called, we could see the workers cleaning but they wouldn't even try to make eye contact. The second time I went our order tasted great but it was so disappointing to have the server mess our order up, we ordered 2 smoothies and received one smoothie and one milk tea, we already paid and honestly didn't want to go through the process alll over again. They even put the wrong labels on the wrong cups The workers have got to get it together! read more

The wait was decent! I got the taro milk tea with boba but unfortunately when I got the drink it didn't have any boba in it! To be fair I had a very large group of people behind me so that could have been the reason. The taro milk tea was delicious and you could tell that it was quality! read more

Notice a bubble tea cup trash on the floor outside of Whole Foods, decided to investigate and saw a brand new bubble tea place open. Saw a BOGO promotion so decided to give it a try. The place is pretty small and the decoration is cute, wanted to get Watermelon smoothies + Milk tea but they told me to get one of the Passion Fruit tea, Coconut smoothies, Bubble Milk Green Tea and Hot Matcha to get the BOGO. I'm like eh why not. So got Tbaar Milk tea and Coconut smoothies w/ coconut jelly and bubble. Tbaar just open so the staff is still fiddling with the ordering system, so I believe one should be patient and not fault them for learning. Almost walk into one of the poorly place pole though, so be careful! Otherwise the staff made the drinks quite quickly and efficiently. Tried the coconut smoothies first - it was good! Taste like real coconut. Especially since you can see a fridge full of fresh fruit :D Prices wise the fruit juice look on the expensive side, similar to other fruit juice places. Boba drinks are similar price to ie KFT. Boba is a little smaller than the other places - or to me anyways and it's not as chew like the way I like it :B Lots of potential though; will keep a look out for more in the future :D read more
The Boy and I come here out of convenience as it's the nearest boba place to us now (we were spoiled in Allston) but my tea is always lukewarm and the boba is a little too soft. I'll try their fruit smoothies/juices next time but boba is very average. read more

Finally a boba place that doesn't use milk powder in their milk teas. My stomach is sensitive and I often get stomachaches from drinking milk tea that uses milk powder. All their milk teas use half and half milk while lactose free milk/almond/coconut milk are also available. The tea flavors are strong and aromatic. Definitely recommend this place if you want to know exactly what goes into your milk tea (it's just ice, milk, tea, and sugar (optional). read more

I like to come here for their fruit teas. Personally like it more than their milk teas. Anything jasmine is usually my goto. Lately I've been drinking and craving for their mango tea with mango cheese a lot. It's a nice chance from the sea salt cheese everyone else been using. I've gotten their other fruit teas but nothing stands out like this one. They offer double cups so you can have two different bubble tea in one which is pretty good but you're limited to options they let you get. If I get that I usually get the mojito teas They offer healthy smoothies with fruits and vegetables and small bites. They have crepe cakes for sale. I plan on trying it next time I stop by. Got my eyes on the durian crepe cake heheh read more
