I ordered some items from the store website . I had been to the physical store a couple of times when it was in San Clemente. I also visited and purchased items from them when they were at the Fred Hall fishing and sports show . I received an e mail that my credit card payment of @ $55 had been processed. I received a tracking notice that a shipping label had been created but not actually shipped. I sent no less than 6 inquiries about my order with no reply. I finally contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges and posted a yelp review . Not a nice one . 29 days later after the order I was contacted by them asking me to please review my yelp review. I then received part of my order in a few days. They told me to keep the items and I would be refunded. I really did want to have a good experience, but they pretty much dropped the ball on this one . Maybe I'll give them another chance. I think the whole company is a fraud. I ordered a product/tool in which I have never received. The phone number listed is a no response fraud. They took money off of my card and now will not respond to my plea for them to ship my order. My order number is 15377 . This company needs to be shut down. Placed an order on 1/27 (Pointed Agate Burnisher $8.99 and wood handle brush set of 3 for $1.49, shipping $3 = Total $13.48, a small order to start with this company. Not often I'm being fooled online and usually go with reputable companies when ordering online, i.e., Amazon, EBay, etc. Warning Signs: 1. After I placed the order via www.UtopiaTools.com, still on their website, an order confirmation was generated #_____ (I did a snip tool and copied the screen) and email the screen shot to myself. 2. Today, Tue 2/4/20, pulled up their website to see if I'm able to chat with someone on their webpage or enter the order confirmation # to get an update of my order. 3. The chat screen popped up, as if someone was on the other end, May I help you? I entered the order confirmation #_____, need to get an update of my order (as there was no email sent to me about my order) and there's no tracking # came thru to my email like reputable companies would do and follow up and send an email to you re: your order. 4. After I asked the question. The page asked for my first-last name, phone # (optional) and my email address. I did not provide my phone # not wanting 3rd party calls (once phone #s are given, while companies say they don't share with 3rd parties,but they do). 5. The chat ended there on its own. It says "We will get in touch with you". And that was it. 6. Since I've not received an email notification to confirm my order from 1/27 and no emails came to me since that time, and there's no tracking # to customers. My suspicion grew. Pulled up Utopia Tools, San Clemente, CA. I was not surprised, the website indicated Permanently Closed. Wow, this was the first online order I became a fool, this company took me to the cleaners; fortunately spend only $13.48 not a huge loss. I will contact my bank, have them reverse the amount back to my account. This is a very shady way of doing business. Meanwhile, I pulled up their website once more (seemingly, it is the real McCoy, the real thing, the wepage looks very professional) they're STILL running the business online, taking orders, accepting ccards and payments. The issue this company (if it's a legit company at all) is that you do not know what you are in for; until after you check out, remit ccard payment, and only then, this so called company display an order confirmation #______ (but beware, the order confirmation #______ will do you absolutely no good; because there is no one answers the phone, they do not return calls, their automated online Chat will ask you to enter your first and last name, email address. Once you do what it asks you to do, it simply replies "We will contact you via email". As we all know, this is no way to conduct business. That tells you right then and there, you will not be hearing from anyone. Your chat online thru their website is in hope to get a hold of customer service, or an agent to help you with your order, or respond to the status of your order. To no avail, it is a one-way communication (your communication, as the customer). Bottom line, you get nowhere. *** DON'T BE FOOLED. DO NOT order thru them. Where are the negative ratings... this company deserves a -10... I placed my order on September 26th and as of November 19th I received 1/2 of my order... I've been trying to ask for credit back, refund my order, send my order... whatever works, but nothing!!! NO RESPONE FROM ANYONE. This company does not care and I don't know why they are in the business of selling goods when they cannot keep up with demand. I received half of my order in 7 - 10 days as promised. One week later, I still have not received the rest of my order. I have e-mailed, no response. I tried to message through their web-page, it wouldn't submit. I've tried their phone number, above; it's for a company by a different name. UPDATE They did contact me, priority shipped my product and explained their entire team was out of town, and had forgotten to inform me about a back order. Half of my order was on-time and the product was exceptional - the non-communication, that was similar to another reviewer, and late delivery of the rest of my order is the reason for the 3 stars. read more

Placed order for 2 day shipping it's been a week since places order. Tried contact on the webpage which could not find phone number if it's there. Email contact fill out form filled out but when you submit goes back to main page. So you have no idea if it's submitted. Found a customer support number under placing orders a 1 888 number called it said it was for a different company. Went to Internet to do a search found a California number said it as well was the other company. I'm awaiting to see if either messages get answered today if not I'll dispute charges since it seams so shady and again a week has passed for 2 day shipping. Called credit card they said it sounds like a fake company and possibly fraud had my card cancelled and credit card company issued me a new card incase the fake company decides to make additional charges. Opening an investigation and depending what is found with credit card company going to contact department of consumer affairs for investigation. Update Finally was in touch with store items were never shipped someone forgot was told extra items added to shipment. Was shipped after I told them I was disputing charges. They credited my card so I wouldn't be charged. When items finally came, not only was there no extra items that they lied about some items that were ordered were missing. Can't complain since they credited me the entire purchase, but hands down worse service and ordering from a company I ever experienced. They told me they have been in business since 1996 so it's ok that they can treat customers like I was treated and mess up on orders as badly as mine was. The reason is because the owner goes to any trade shows he can get to and finds. Therefore he finds all of the out of the mainstream market tools and trinkets to help all your hobby needs.
