Pad Thai
Shannon G.

My first time here. My friend had been here once before. And she wanted to show me where it was. I ordered the pad Thai and coconut shrimp. Both were good. I would have rather had a sweet saucer with the coconut shrimp. But other than that. It was pretty good. The shrimp was flavorful with a crunch. I got 6 pieces. Pad Thai was good. It was a lot of food. You have options for your protein. I got true tofu. Tofu is very bland on its own, so you do need to season it. This tofu had no seasoning, and it was a little disappointing. The service was a little disappointing. It's young adults and they are literally just doing a job. Here's your food, here's your check. A tip from me to you as someone who has worked in a tip based job. Be charming. Chat with your customers. Check in half way through their meal and asks how the food is, have you tried this meal? It's my favorite, come back and try it, it's so good. Be dramatic. Be personable. It goes a long way and you'll get bigger tips. Southern charm will make a world of difference. Someone please teach these young adults.

Two visits, first time the food was decent service was very minimal I'll take that as a fluke maybe caught them on a bad day. Second visit June 28th, service was even worse than before. You have three high school kids sitting around at the front counter while you're water glass has been empty for 15 minutes so coming over to ask if I needed a check or to go box and literally had to ask him for more water that was at the edge of the table. Too many restaurants around here especially 3 Doors Down to put up with this. The food, I had the one bowl away last time it was decent but not stellar and then this time I had this shaken beef which was okay came with a nice side palette of egg drop soup which was okay. Y'all need some adult managers on this site if you want to see Improvement on the place. Place was pretty clean but when it's not busy of course nothing will get messed up or dirty. I meant is decent inside a little dark to read the venues but one can get by. Parking is ample it shares a strip joint.

Hot and sour soup after shot....it was good

Service is very attentive and food was good. Portions are on the smaller side but it scratched the itch. Will come back to have their lunch specials!

Chicken wings -amazing!

This is UTeaPho's second location. The food is delicious and flavorful. The Vietnamese iced coffee is a must have! The owner was friendly and the service was good too. There's not many Vietnamese food in the Lakeway area but UTeaKitchen is going to lead the path for Vietnamese cuisine to expand. I highly recommend visiting for a fresh, healthy, and tasty meal!

Incredible dinner with the family at UTea Kitchen tonight! Egg rolls, Spicy Pho, Pepper Filet Mignon on a sizzling plate - amazing! Love that we found this gem!

Spicy Pho

We love Pho and Vietnamese food and bubble tea, and UTea Kitchen is in the top five in the world we have had. Can't recommend enough. Their spicy Pho is superb.

Needed to add this cute picture of my slushie with strawberry boba. We have great service and great food every time we come here!

Such a find! Great service; fast and friendly. Food was tasty, and slushy was oh so good. We didn't have anything we didn't like. This place is a 10 out of 10. Will be a returning customer for sure.

I am always greeted when I walk in, and the staff has been consistently friendly during my visits. They seem to genuinely care about customer service. I use the app frequently and rarely have issues with my orders. On the rare occasion something is missed, they fix it quickly without hassle. Parking can be tight near the door during lunch rush since it shares the lot with Starbucks, but I have never had trouble finding a spot within reasonable walking distance. It is a minor inconvenience at worst. The dining area is small and gets busy at lunch, but that is to be expected for a popular sandwich spot in this area. The food is exactly what you'd expect from Jimmy John's--fresh, fast, and freaky good. And of course, free smells!

Located in a small strip mall, this corner lot location was small and gave a small town feel it was so quiet, even with music pumping through the speakers. That being said, the family loves Jimmy, and Jimmy loves when we come because we eat!! Lol Menu options were, the PePe; Italian night club; Big John; and another PePe. Service was friendly and fast. And patient as we let our eleven year old place her own order. Verdict? Deliciousness

Move over Fresa's!! There's a new chick in town!…read more Not only are the ingredients fresh, you can taste the quality! We were shopping in Bee Cave and got hungry, so I went to Yelp to discover this cute little place. I did learn that they are mainly a "take away" model hence the play on words "picnic" on their name. But there are a few tables and bar counter that you can dine in. We ordered a bit of food- 1. Half roasted chicken 2. Hot wings 3. Roasted Beets 4. Kale side salad 5. Fun selection of NE brand beers! Yes they have wine and unique beer selection there! The roasted chicken was definitely brined- it was super juicy and the chimichurri and salsa complimented it wonderfully. It was explained to me the chicken were free range and how they are raised humanely, reminded me of an episode in a tv series- Portlandia that made me chuckle. The hot wings... Buffalo style but not like at Anchor Bar.. still amazing in its own right. Fresh (I mean there were zero dry spots on carrots and celery and it was crunchy fresh that even me, the non-celery lover- ate 4 sticks with their tasty homemade ranch sauce. (I think it was the ranch dressing bc I literally licked the bowl clean) The roasted beets were served cold with feta cheese crumbles, mint and pistachios. I could eat that by itself as a meal! Yummy! Now, I usually hate kale. Only like it roasted. But I can eat Chicknic's Kale side salad all day long. It contains roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion and a mountain of pumpkin and sunflower seeds! (Maybe that's why I like it so much??) All washed down with a brown ale beer you find in the NE. While we were dining, several people came by to pick up their to go orders and there is a fun freezer where they sell delicious take aways like chicken soup and their famous chicken pot pie, chicken crepes, chicken enchiladas... oh did I mention this is a great place if you're on a keto diet or gluten free restriction?!?? I also found if you follow their Facebook page, you can see new menu items or transparency of how they run their business. What you waiting for? Give this place a try and support local!

Okay... I have to talk about Firehouse Subs for a second…read more I went to the Lakeway location and first off--parking was super easy (which already puts them ahead of half the places out there ). Now the food... WOW. I got the tuna sub and added bacon (don't judge me--just try it ). It was SO good. The bread is what really got me though--soft, fluffy, and somehow perfect in every bite. Like... how is bread this good?? They loaded it up with fresh toppings like tomatoes and provolone, plus a side of onions and a dill pickle. I don't know what they're doing back there, but they need to keep doing it. Also, you can grab chips or other sides, so you're not leaving hungry--that's for sure. Moral of the story: if you're anywhere near Lakeway and craving a sub, just go. Trust me. Your taste buds will thank you

I got the Yurkey bacon ranch. Told them to leave it dry, no condiments. I wasn't ready to eat it for a couple of hours. So I didn't want the bread to get soggy. I was asked if I wanted white or wheat bread. I choose wheat. A few minutes later they called my name with my sandwhich in a to go box in a bag. A few hours later when I was ready for a late lunch, I opened the box up and saw that the sandwich was a decent size. It was cut in half on an angle, and everything looked really good. Turkey, bacon, tomato, cheese and shredded lettuce. I added my own oil and vinegar. Was delicious. The bread was soft and the lettuce was crispy even when it sat in the fridge for a couple hours. I walked around and saw they had a patio. Completely covered with a roof and trees that shaded it too. The patio is huge and is shared with another business next door. Lots of space!

The salad bar is always fully stocked and clean. Since I work close by (8 minutes) I tend to eat at Jason's 2-3 times per week for the last 4 1/2 years. I've gotten to know several of the employees. They are all nice and friendly. I see Asst. Mgr. Carlton working the register, the food line, delivering food to the customers, and cleaning the tables. It's unusual to see a member of management to all of those tasks. David keeps the Drive-Thru hopping. I never see a line building up. When it's slow he will take for a front register or delivers food to the tables. Rommel and Lu are the masters of the food line. They are in a constant hustle to get the food made and out. Jarod is in continuous motion with taking orders, on the food line, or running dishes to the tables. They Yasmine keeps the salad bar super clean and stocked. She always has a friendly greeting and smile for me. The rest of the staff are friendly and always in motion. This crew seems to be a well oiled machine. The food is super fresh and served quickly. Ambiance - this is a bar and restaurant setting. Great for hang outs with friends and family. Dress code is casual. 4. Food - I had their CARBONARA PASTA and CHICKEN ARROSTO. With a side of salad and Garlic bread. Everything was good and tasty. The noodles were fresh, thick, and different. However, it was super salty. Did I pick the wrong sauce perhaps or was the chef a bit heavy handed on the salt? 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was outdoors in the back on a cold day. Good thing they had a heating lamp near by. They managed their tables well. No dirty plates lingering around. Restrooms were not bad either. Small, but clean. SUMMARY It's great that they make fresh noodles, but $20+ for a plate of noodles is a bit much. Overly paying for salty food, I rather go to a chain Italian restaurant. Not worth the hype in my opinion.

Review: VIVEL - Lakeway…read more VIVEL in Lakeway never fails me. Every single time I come in, the food is perfect. It truly feels like a neighborhood restaurant that everyone loves--locals constantly gathering here for coffee, great food, and good company. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a place people naturally return to again and again. This visit, I ordered the classic hamburger with French fries, and it was excellent--simple, fresh, and cooked just right. I also had their Moon Latte, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was spot-on. VIVEL is a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, family, and even children. The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. That said, we had a really disappointing experience during our last visit that felt worth sharing. A younger female employee with a long dark ponytail brought our food over, I think she was a food runner - but she wasn't wearing the Vivel branded t shirt like the other employees. When my husband politely asked for ketchup, she visibly rolled her eyes before bringing it. When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.
