TLDR: It's the Post Orifice...what did you expect? First, the good - this location isn't quite as crowded as some I've been to. Also, there's plenty of parking. Easy to get to location. The not-so-good...well, I didn't have any problems with the personnel myself. But I was in line watching some of the other people up front and they were on the curt and rude side to customers. Not sure what's the deal, perhaps the upcoming election is making them cranky? In any case, a decent location to get your business done. Just prepare for the crap shoot as to whether you get someone who's in a good mood.

I hope to god amazon stops working through these people, they don't even attempt to deliver it to my home they just mark it "customer requested collection", I wish I was able to go to my job and say "nah I don't feel like doing it today"

It's USPS, okay, so there is a general level of suck that can be experienced at any government or…read morequasi-governmental agency office (dreary environs, draconian & nonsensical policies, an assault of directive signage, inflexible staff who do not exceed the parameters of their Standard Operating Procedures, etc.). With that very low expectation set, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the level of smart efficiency I experienced at 10 minutes before closing at this Metric & Braker Lane location on a Saturday afternoon. If you have used this location before, you may know that the window for picking up packages is a closed door placed outside of the "main" customer service counter / store part of the place. A common mistake folks make all the time is coming in to pick up a package, waiting in the long line at the main counter, and only once reaching the front, learning that they were supposed to go stand at that closed door and wait for someone to appear out of nowhere to acknowledge them. Been there, done that myself. On this day, I showed up to retrieve my "requires signature" item and found a line of about 15 customers ahead of me with just a few minutes until closing. I had my doubts about how this situation would end, but the postal worker handled it with professionalism and efficiency, calling us up to give our addresses & show ID, taking down our info, and then going away with a complete list to get all of the packages in bulk. This calmed everyone and assured us that we'd be able to get our stuff before the place closed for the day. One by one, each name was called, even those who had arrived after me, and soon only one person was left without a package - me. Turns out, my mail carrier had picked up my item and had it out with her for another delivery attempt, even though the order was specifically set to be held at the post office. Argh! Foiled again!

10 people waited in line. My turn, and I'd forgotten to tape my package. ‍ They have no tape, no…read morestaples to spare, friends. Don't ask for a manager. They will take out their budgetary frustrations on you. Do better, USPS.

Best post office to renew or start the process for your passport…read more Staff is friendly. Just make sure you read the instructions carefully and understand what is needed. If you couldn't take a pic for your passport, they can do it there ($)

They'll tell you it is not their fault (blame the main Hub, blame weather, blame whatever) but I track every package. I watch mail destined for the east coast get sent to Denver first. Mail I send to the west coast ends up in Jersey City. There are NO refunds for Priority Mail, they just accept your money, don't provide the service, and it's tough luck for you. The only person to blame is yourself for giving them your money. Separately, I've received crushed packages, no packages, and a family 3 blocks away share my same house number so we exchange wrong packages frequently; I'm lucky those people dependable, unlike the USPS. I have tried to support my local post office for many years now. Remember how we were encouraged to buy stamps and anything else to keep the USPS afloat? I'm old school; I did it all. Now I'm done. I should have learned my lesson long ago. I'm incredibly frustrated and disappointed. It's such a shame too because the clerks who have customer contact are some of the nicest and friendliest people I've met, and I've seen their faces for many years. They must take all the heat for late and missing mail. I will miss their smiles and the post office I remember, but I won't miss the grief I've experienced over and over again. If you need mail handled correctly the first time, find another provider.
