Very friendly and helpful. We relocated from out of state and staff was extremely helpful setting up our new PO Box and change of address.

As the larger of the two post offices in the Cedar Park/Leander area this location can handle a much larger flow of customers; there are more individual post office boxes. It also has a great deal of parking. Plus, it is very easy to access from both directions on the road. But the thing I like best about this location over the Leander location is the self-serve shipping I can do when the location is closed. Just outside the closed lobby is the self-serve shipping set up. It allows you to weigh and measure your packages. You input the shipping address, and it will determine the price and print your shipping label. You then place it in the drop box. It's very easy! This is the only location in the area in which this can be completed outside of post office hours. read more

Again with this worthless USPS location. Some dipstick that works there decided to lock the NIGHT DROP so I couldn't deposit the packages that I needed to ship off. What kind of insolent retard does this? I dont know if Corey or Courtney or whatever even reads these reviews (obviously not because their quality and service is still exceptionally inept) but holy jeez man. Wake up. It's not that difficult to leave the night drop open so people can drop stuff off. AT NIGHT. The postal employees at this location need to be given a round of applause. I try to get my act together and have my stuff ready to go but low and behold, I fudge something each and every time. I've often ragged on my local USPS, and not without cause. However I have to praise when I see a good outlet of the Postal Service, and this is one of them. Parking is generous. Separate area for handicapped drivers. The clerks are...well, not friendly as in 'happy to see you', but polite enough. Best of all, they do a good job keeping the lines moving along even during busy times. About the only negative I can cite is that their automated postage system for small packages in their lobby seems to be broken. A lot. However, given a choice I'll still go here over other outlets if I can. read more

I don't find this place to be particular slow or fast. They keep up a good pace when they are busy and lines are always pretty short. Even during Christmas season the lines seem pretty long but they get the customers in and out at a fair speed. They have a really spacious parking lot and a separated area for handicap parking. Only flaw is they don't pick up their phone here ever. Otherwise I am pretty happy with this post office and glad it is near my place!! read more

Straight trash. I never write reviews but when people want to be ridiculous and go on power trips or just straight decide to be lazy , it pisses me off. I go to other usps offices and deliver the exact same package on multiple occasions and never have problems. Today this location decided to refuse my package. I asked for the Manager encase the employee had been mistaken and the dude didn't even look into the problem didnt Remeasure or ask questions just automatically sided with his employee. Also they claim it was a inch to big a freaking inch. I offered to take some packaging foam out and they said it wouldn't be enough.which it would have been. If there is a zero star option, they will get the honor. This particular post office has one of the lowest customer service I have ever encountered. I opened my PO Box with my husband on April 2021. For the longest time, I did not receive my mail so finally 3 months later around June 2021, I was informed by my credit card company that the address was not working and the letters were bounced back to them. I stopped by the post office to find out why and later got a call from someone that my name was not placed on my PO Box the entire time even though I signed up for the mail box with my husband in person. The person said that this was fixed and I should be getting mail. Fast forward a couple more months, I was still not able to receive mail properly including a package and forwarded mail. When I talked to another personnel today 9/28/21, he rudely explained that the Informed Delivery that I get in my email do not always mean I will get the mail. If not, what is the purpose of the Informed Delivery notification then? When I asked how to make sure I am able to get my mail, he said I need to contact the senders. What?! So, not only he was dodging the question of why I am not getting the letters, he made me think I was the confused person about how I should get mail. My rating is really a 2.5 because of the long lines. The employees are very friendly at this Cedar Park Post Office. Since I work, I don't often experience what it is like during the week. So Saturday's I trek over to pick up my package. I get there right at 8AM. Line is 25 people long, and I only see one person working the counter. So I decide to leave and come back after I go to the Farmer's Market. Thirty minutes later I get back. The line is down to 18 people but still I only see one person behind the counter. So I wait and wait and wait. A couple more have been taken care of and leave. FINALLY another body pops up and yells, "Anybody here for just a pick up?". I jump out of line and race to that person. Hand him my package info and away he goes. He gets back shortly and I sign for it. Out I go. So I got lucky this time. I have never been to this PO without waiting and waiting. Granted the employees are pleasant but none of them has any fire in their pants. Their only speeds are Slow, Stop, and Reverse. On the Up side, this facility is new, clean, well stocked, has lots of boxes to rent. read more

Employees that work here are amazing and definitely hustle the entire time. This location is just so small and understaffed that it takes a while ticket helped once a line forms which is usually an hour after they open, and then for the entire day. I've been going to this post office to do my mailing at the self service kiosk as would get frustrated in the past because the machine had glitches especially with its card reader. I went in tonight to mail some items and lo and behold... A new self serve kiosk! Thus one is more streamlined! There were new features which included ... Nfc payment option ... Ability to measure packages automatically ... More on screen options ... Ability to make multiple transactions with one swipe of your card printing all labels out at the end ... Option to have receipt printed or emailed This new setup made my experience quicker and easier Will be pack for sure! read more

Update: International Packages do need a sleeve. Apparently you cannot come in with domestic and international packages because that's too far beyond the scope of their understanding. Just thought I'd let anyone reading this know they are complete imbeciles and aren't able to comprehend that a person might ship domestic and international AT THE SAME TIME. I am so tired of the rude people working here! There is a big black woman here and she actually yelled at me in the lobby because she was frustrated that people are using an international package sleeve that when you order postage online it tells you to use. She said "I TOLD YOU GUYS TO STOP DOING THAT!" As if I know everyone who drops off packages and we talk regularly about how we prepare our packages for shipment. I've always found the personnel helpful and friendly. Yes, the lines are sometimes long. They look like even longer because of the Covid spacing. My guess is that they are short staffed because it got worse after the postmaster general cut overtime and staffing to save money this past summer. I waited over a month to have the locks changed on my PO Box so that I can get my mail. On three occasions I've been told it would be done the next day. I live in Gann Ranch. My neighbors and I have to often re-deliver our mail after it is delivered by the driver. They constantly mix up deliveries. Right now I ordered 6 books from Amazon and sadly they used the US Postal Service.. None of them were delivered on 4/26/2022 as tracking shows. So because these were second hand and from merchants selling on Amazon I am out the money. Lucky for me a small pantry rug was also shipped via US Postal service and that came direct from Amazon. I do not know why this happens constantly with our carriers. I have requested that my orders no longer be shipped via USPS and Amazon cannot do that. Twice now I have had packages from foreign countries sent to my home. Both times, they neither attempted delivery, or left a slip. Tracking says delivery attempted. B.S. and they will lie when you complain at the office. I have a ring doorbell and 5 hard-wired cameras on my house. I can verify with 100% certainty, no one attempted to deliver anything. We have a package box at our community mail center. They could easily place it in there and put the key in my box. Instead, they make NO EFFORT to deliver at all. Somebody plowed into our cluster mailboxes and demolished them on Tuesday. USPS installed brand new mailboxes on Thursday. Not bad right? However a poorly handwritten note is left on the mailboxes advising residents to pick up their new mailbox # and key the next week. My wife didn't read the "next week" part so I call to make sure it's the right post office and that I can pick up a key. I Literally let it ring 50 times... no answer. Not surprised. Make the trip well across town just to encounter their rude staff who advise me that it's not ready. Really? It's a key and a number two days after the mailboxes go up. Incompetence. I will not lose any sleep the day they shutdown the money pit that loses billions of dollars a year that is staffed with rude, incompetent employees known as the USPS. So I'm expecting a 2-day package... not aware that UPS is using their foolish policy of dropping their deliveries off at the good old local post office for door delivery for this package. Just great! I get a delivery notification but no package. I presume the ultra smart carrier on my route thought it would be a good idea to shove the 2-day package in the mailbox that I can't access for another three days. Way to go jackass! I've seen alot of ranting about the post office lately, and while I understand they do have their problems (as most government facilities do), I love mine in Cedar Park. The guys (post people?) behind the desk have been there since Adam and they are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. There have been long lines here before for sure (ahem, christmas...) but they are pretty quick at getting people thru. Here's the best part about it tho. When the line is long, i can use the auto mailer. Whoever invented this should get the Nobel Peace Prize, cause it's brought a lot more peace to my life. Don't be scared of it people! It's just like an ATM and will walk you thru it and you can be done in 2 minutes. Just remember to finish your transaction! Once I went and the previous customer had left it on the "Do you want another transaction?" screen and I sooo could have bought 32 books of stamps with her money, but my little left shoulder angel talked me out of it. read more

Oh, many a while I've wasted standing in post office lines inching slowly, stop-and-go-ly, as the wait barely declines, or my number tightly clutching as if it were a lifeline wishing and profoundly hoping for the call of "49" woe is me -- I am crestfallen when she calls out "29". But such woes lie in the past now nevermore to slow my pace for I live in Cedar Park now and 'tis different in this place. Our post office is efficient. Be that so hard to believe? The desk staff are quite sufficient and a pleasure to perceive. Update 9/25/15- I contacted the post master and he informed me he did instruct his postal workers to deliver packages. They will be working with management to find a solution that doesn't involve having to drive to the post office for packages. Lazy postal worker refuses to deliver packages to my town home. All units are ground floor facing the street with attached garages, front porch and driveways. Our complex management is no longer assuming responsibility for packages, and postal worker decides that means we have to pick up all packages at the post office. I went into the post office and request a vacation hold for my mail due to a package was scheduled for delivery while I was going out of town for the funeral of my mother. Needless to say, that package was delivered and left on my front porch because it was too big to fit my community mailbox and sat outside for five days while I was out of state trying to deal with the unexpected death of my mom. Dealing with the post office is always a challenge. You really have to know what you are doing in order to survive the interaction. Here are some tips; Don't go during lunch hour. Early in the week is busier than later. Don't expect to customer service. You will be treated much like any other business. How are you paying? Ok, swipe here. Do you have a problem? We can't fix it. If it can be broken, it probably will be. Insurance only works if you keep your receipt and follow up quickly to report the loss. If you don't submit the necessary paperwork, you will receive a computer generated denial letter. If you don't follow up quickly, you will be denied. Even when you submit the proper paperwork, you will be told you are denied because you are outside the time frame required to submit a claim. Don't expect to get your shipping costs back. You will be lucky to get the actual value you insured it for. I have watched as workers toss packages into bins. Not once have I seen them treat it as I would. Wrap it in cushioning and then box it at least a couple inches larger than the item. This is more expensive, but ask yourself, what is it worth to me if I have to replace the item? Shipping. If you have something over a pound, it may be better to send the item priority. You don't have to use their boxes. If you use your own, it will be cheaper, but won't come with a standard $50 in insurance like theirs does. Priority is no guarantee. Think of it as a fancy way of generating more revenue by using action terminology and a fancy box. Delivery time is typically what you would expect for a first class letter. Sometimes Parcel Select is cheaper. Not by much though. Parcel Select is the new branding for Parcel Post. Think slow and slightly inexpensive. Typically no tracking and no insurance. If you have a small item that is light, you might qualify to ship it as a First Class package which is a great way of saving money. Another way of saving money is Media Mail, but if it doesn't meet the requirements, cd's, magazines, etc., they won't allow it. Drop off. If you have already paid online for a label, or have stamped your item, you can leave it on the end of the counter where people pick up large items that won't fit in their mailboxes. This is where you go when you get a package notification letter in your mailbox. Good luck getting someone who knows where they are stored. Lines can be long for pickups. You can also drop it off in one of the slots if it fits. Some locations have the big turning tumbler, but if it gets stuck, or is full (won't open), you are on your own. Ringing the bell after hours will not get someone to come to your assistance. Even if you hear someone in the back, they will not come to the door. I have begged for someone to come to the door after hearing them in the back and was given an outright refusal. If you happen to see a mail person out driving around, you can also leave your package with them. You can even buy postage from them. If you need stamps, but don't want to go to the post office, put the correct amount on the envelope in your mailbox and they will take care of it. You can even leave a not with cash for the number of stamps you want and they will leave them. Don't do this if you are worried about theft. If you have a valuable item, do not just leave it. Wait to speak with an agent and have them scan it in and give you a receipt. Sometimes packages aren't scanned in and can get lost. Tracking. Without a scan, there is no tracking. Delivery confirmation is another way of insuring your package is delivered, but typically the tracking number will work. Paying for delivery confirmation will delay the delivery if no one is there to sign for the package. Express? When it has to be there right away. $$$ read more
