Raise rent $10 every 6 months, parked so tight you are lucky to get your trailer out. Approx 80%…read moreincrease in a year. If you like being held hostage mid season this is the spot.

Really wanted to like this place…read more Unfortunately, the results so far have us slightly left of the negative/positive centre line. Let's fill in the praise columns first: *Renting the RV storage space was simple and uncomplicated. Pretty much one and done form wise which is refreshing. *The RV storage space rent isn't excessive. Not a bargain. But not typical Auburn grab-yer-ankles either. *The individual who assisted me was friendly and professional. *Two individuals I know referred me to Ace as a result of their own satisfaction with the company. *The RV lot isn't a flat patch of dust with stripes. *The location. *The RV portion is open 24/7 with secured gate code. So far so good. Until it meets the bad: -The location. While convenient, it just so happened to lay smack dab ground zero within Auburn's cute little version of Compton. -The location I've been in the flight line of DFW and it's not as damn annoying as the small muni airport next door to this place. Seriously, it's like 'hey wait Vern, you know what would go all Full Redneck on this bad boy? Yup, we gonna put flowmasters on my UncleDaddy's Cessna and go spit on stuff from up real high' -The location. Twice my RV has been broken into. Twice. In 6 months. -The Creepy Stares Says Nothing Guy I've had to rotate some things around from home and storage. And RV. Quite a few things had to come out of it before the regular RV stuff could go back in. Because of the 3+ hour drive to Ace and that they are a 24/7 facility for RV's (not to mention that my day is most folks night) I access the lot after dark. So it's been rather creepy to have C.S.S.N.G. roll up on me like he's trying out for Dawg The Bounty Hunter and then just sit there in his truck and stare. And stare. And stare some more. While at a distance I personally consider rather threatening. In fact, when it happened the first time before I figured out what was up, his unidentified self was approaching a boundary where he was identified by way of my concealed carry. I shouldn't be put in this position. And neither should he with a simple announcement or markings that indicated security. The two additional times this repeated itself I just kinda laugh. I'm really not that interesting. Yet do wonder... ^Are ya shy dude? If so, security not the best career path. ^Are ya single dude and just shy? We might could get past that however were gonna have to work on the creepy thing wayyyy before sex. I'm like flypaper for freaks but you got me feeling more like a bug zapper in like Fresno. ^Did ya happen to spend some time staring at the person who ran off with one of my batteries, BBQ, and shore line after popping open two of the side compartments? -The location Pack a lunch if you think you're gonna make a left on 49 anytime between 3 and 7pm -Monthly billing Ugh. Don't. Just. Don't. So one months rent goes past due while I'm out of town. Dude calls and says it's due yet I'm looking at my account and money is there and card number is correct. Says to call the next day to Lady however the next day I see the 80.00 authorisations deducted from my avail balance and figure OK...no need to call all is well. Um No. A week or so later, I get a notice from my bank that I've been charged 36.00 for an overdraft paid fee. Hmmmm. That couldn't be... Except... Ace put thru the 80.00 auto THEN 3 - count 'em three - 160.00 authorisations for two months rent charges 3 times back to back. Two days before the second month was actually due per our original agreement as to each months debit day. Plus an additional 10.00 for a late fee. Nice.... Soooo..... My little 4.80 debit card cheeseburger not-so-happy-meal at MCD ended up costing me 40.80 freakin bucks. Sadly.... The transactions weren't making it back to Ace despite being debited from my available balance. So what do you do in that case? Keep trying! 'Cause I just love paying 40 bucks for a damn happy meal. And all this because I changed my address. That's why the transactions would debit the available balance but not actually credit Ace. Because I had yet to give Ace my new one. And lastly in this rant...I'm the trustee of possessions within one of the actual storage units adjacent to the RV side. The unit was already filled and rented by the time I became trustee. I can't say I would have selected Ace for the storage unless the things I was storing were garage type items. Certainly not important stuff or furniture. Here's why: -The Location -The Roll Up Door Hasn't been lubricated since I suspect the first Bush administration. Pain in ass to open. -The Open Closed Roll Up Door Each of the doors have this funky notch cut out at the lower right which effectively is a express lane for mice, rats, dust and anything else animal vegetable or fluid that so chooses. -The Rubber Seals on The Open Closed Roll Up Door Long since left the rubber tree plant folks. We're talkin petrified forest. But there is a portable toilet. That's nice

Again, more lies and deceptions about doing what's right or to correct issues customers may have or had with their account or issues with their storage, or customer service. Strongly would not recommend this deceptive storage facility. On December 18, 2025 @ 8:51am, I received via Yelp from Extra Space a response to contact them regarding my online comment regarding my experience with their Auburn, CA 95603 facility, in which upon calling the required number left by them on Friday, December 19, 2025 @ 9:41 a.m., no one answered after several attempts, nor was able to leave a message on their Voice Mail system which stated "Unable to locate an account. Good Bye." Again, this place is very unprofessional and deceptive, to scam to lure you in at one price but changes it later, or the scam that the online unit prices is only for specific cases, or the unit that was available is no longer available but a different one is available at a higher cost. Whatever, their lies are or deceptive practices are to lure you in, "Buyer Beware"! Friday, December 19, 2025, I called the Business Manager Emily at the number given (530-823-7555) to discuss my concerns and issues with the Auburn facility, so her call-back number, is invalid...just more lies.
