I appreciate that when I come here, the customer service representatives gets the line moving, but do it in a respectful manner. In this last visit, I was shown the distinction between certain packaging options and I was surprised to know the difference. NO ONE in the USPS has EVER gone out of their way to explain those things to me. The website only advertises one option and it is the expensive option. This post office is awesome. The mail service is always great in Yuba City , the post office service has a great quality feedback, and they will ensure your mail is safe. An experience at the Post Office should be ALL about customer service. NOT, just completing a task, but more about the experience when stopping in to mail or pickup something. Well, this USPS location falls VERY short in the customer service department. Service was abrupt, very little niceties, and definitely no 'Thank You', 'Have a nice day', 'Come again'. I asked if they could postmark something for today and the response was, "we can". If for no other reason, Federal employees get paid well, have good benefits, and a reliable retirement system, so how about some customer service simply because it's part of the job description. While in line, another USPS clerk began arguing with a customer regarding the arrival of a package that he shipped. She insisted the package arrived because it showed such on her computer screen. Rather than calmly problem solving the situation, she chose to engage in an argument with the customer who came in looking for help. Worst off, she was in her early 20's, which may mean many more years of horrible service to come. Just sad. Sadly, I won't be returning to this post office. read more

Yesterday I missed a delivery of my pain pills. My medication is for bone cancer, which is very painful. When I saw the notice on the door, I did what I was supposed to do, sign up for redilvery today. But they aren't delivering. They have PREPARED it, whatever that means, but it is somewhere in Yuba City! The recorded voice I " talked" to told me it looks like it vould be a FEW DAYS for redilvery and had me sign up for a phone call if it takes longer. Huh? It's on a truck or on a cart. I don't understand why they won't just deliver it today I am in pain for God's Sake! read more

Quite possibly some of the most USELESS EMPLOYEES I've ever encountered. If you want inept customer service and people constantly losing your packages, use USPS. This place is a joke. If you are having a good day, and go into this Post Office, your day will start going downhill immediately. First, the big guy who greets you is very crude, and coarse. The neighboring girl couldn't sell me any $5 stamps, as they didn't have any. She said they didn't get many calls for them. I told her, they couldn't sell what they don't have! Staff is nice and courteous but that's about it. Will lose your package, then blame Marysville for losing it. When it's been tracked and scanned in at Yuba City. Also forget 2 day Amazon prime shipping, for some reason everything gets sent to Marysville instead, and then sent to Yuba City the next day. USPS is a necessary evil, need to have it, but hate having to deal with them. read more

This is the best post office I've ever used. Often postal workers are miserable but I've never experienced or witnessed that here. Do wish the parking lot was bigger as it can get full, but there's usually street parking too. read more

Saw a carrier today pulled over to the curb next to a gray multi-mailbox on Royo Ranchero (with the sidewalk in between him and the mailbox -- he was seated in the right side of the vehicle). Watched him toss an Amazon box (black and blue Prime tape) from the truck, attempting to make it land on top of the mailbox (6 feet across maybe). He missed -- too much momentum -- and it fell off and landed on the ground (5 foot fall, probably). Then he got out with the rest of the mail to load the box. I guess he did this because making that 6 foot trip back to the truck one extra time would be too much. If he would have just thrown it down toward the base of the box, it would have been less of a fall. Not that either would be acceptable. read more

My package from Amazon.com was delivered through USPS. It was to big to leave in the box so a slip was left. We went to pick it up the next day and the amazon tape was ripped and the box was taped back up with clear packaging tape. They OPENED my package took everything out including the packaging slip and didn't even care to put it back in. the slip is missing from my box! What business do they have opening packages? This is why USPS is not surviving. read more

I've lived in Yuba City since 2011 and never in my life have I had so much mail and packages go missing between the post office and my house. I call into the Yuba City office, they tell me to call Marysville. I call Marysville, they tell me to call Yuba City. I tell them they told me to call Marysville, Marysville says "oh, you have to talk to you mail carrier"...who all the sudden doesn't speak English that day...I'm so tired of this. This last time my father sent me a birthday card with a money order and pictures of him and my mother on their wedding day. My mother sent me gifts from amazon, still have received them. I have gotten packages delivered and picked up at the office, that have been torn open, ripped apart and broken items. These people need to get it together. It's wrong that we pay for this type of service and have our stuff wrecked and get nothing in return. They don't even care enough to handle it, they just try to pass all problems on to the next office. It's despicable and whoever runs this place needs to be fired! read more

The cluster mailbox on my street was broken into the morning after Thanksgiving here in Yuba City. Tried to contact the Yuba City Post Office by phone after the police report was made. Never got an answer. My son went there in person to let them know what happened. They said you have to go to the Marysville Post Office to get your mail. Cluster mail boxes are not safe as any body can pry it open. Don't have any idea when the my mail box will get fixed and will it be tamper proof. While at the Marysvile Post Office standing in line other people waiting to get their mail because the cluster boxes where they live at Yuba City, and Marysville had been broken into. read more
