I've had issues with the specific post office. My mail doesn't get delivered multiple times weekly due to neighbors parking in front of my mailbox. I've asked the neighbors not to multiple times, unfortunately they do not listen. so my mail doesnt get delivered when people decide to park in front of my box. I've complained and reported multiple times to no avail. post office tells me "just to tell them not to park there" not sure why that's my job, and the neighbors do not listen. so my mail never gets delivered. I've had days where I've been waiting for medication, just for it not to get delivered. the post office basically tells me "too bad" ive asked for my mailbox to be moved or some sort of solution but they don't care about there customers CLEARLY! read more

I used to get my mail/packages around 10am-12pm lately it's been getting delivered late... my packages will show "out for delivery" around 6am and the latest estimated delivery time would be 2pm. However it doesn't show up till near 5pm. How did it go from morning to almost night. I honestly feel like they are trying to be petty since I have a dog in the front yard (my front yard has metal fencing and the gate door is always closed/locked). They've been taking my packages back to the post office since "animal interference" but why can't you drop it off on the outside of the gate? I have a driveway on the outside gate part, so no one is just going to walk up and take it?! I started to notice that when we put the dog in the house hours before they arrive they still take my packages back to the post office. We've asked them before to just leave it on the outside of our gate and they still don't listen. read more

Came here to get my mailbox key. For those who are not familiar with small towns, mail is not dropped off at the house. It is instead dropped off at a box, or P.O. Box like thing around the corner. Well had to make a specific trip down here just to sign for my key. Then had to wait in line while one person helped everyone. read more

If you're looking for poor customer service from a rude, sarcastic, arrogant, condescending employee the Olivehurst Post office has you covered! The gentleman named Ray, I use that term loosely, will go so far as to blatantly lie regarding Post office policies to uphold his odd, particular preferences in handling USPS transactions. He will make a point of being unhelpful, combative, and unpleasant. He is infamous among other local USPS front desk clerks who are familiar with his poor reputation as it sends many customers to their locations who refuse to deal with such an ugly individual. If you'd like an acceptable USPS experience do like most others who are familiar with him do and make a point of avoiding this Post office and go out of your way to another nearby location. I imagine the USPS management in charge of Olivehurst will never address their poor customer service employee due to some lame seniority, union, or bureaucracy issue. This post office is ssssllllooooowwwww!!!! If you have 30 mins to an hour to kill, by all means, go here. This is my closest post office, but I tend to try to go out of my way to Marysville or Yuba City because I would be in and out in no time flat. There is only ever one person working, and they are incredibly slow and not very friendly. It is always busy as well, so that causes a major problem. Needless to say... Don't waste your time here... Go to another post office if at all possible and save time!!!! read more

I have been using this post office for over 10 years, where do I start... 1. There is only ever one person working, even if half of the continental US is in line. 2. It's usually the same man "R" and if he moved any slower, we would need to check his pulse for signs of life. 3. $11 to mail a 1.8 pound box to a friend in Texas. I didn't even pay that for the coffee mug inside the dang box!! Highway. Robbery. 4. I used to have a PO Box at this location. I would have to quietly step over multiple homeless people who had made camp in front of my box, including using the lobby as bathroom facilities. Mmmm. I never saw a single employee do anything to discourage this behavior or show any concern over the health & safety of customers. 5. One day I arrived and there was a partial collapse of the building, obviously compromising the integrity of the structure, but did that stop them from business as usual??? Nope. They put up some yellow caution tape and left it like that for WEEKS (at least) before beginning repairs. Truly unbelievable how awful having to use this post office is. It needs to be bulldozed, rebuilt & staffed with people who want to be here, have even the slightest sense of urgency & possibly--if it isn't asking too much--have at least heard of basic customer service skills. read more

NOBODY CARES ABOUT IT RAY!The community neighborhood mail drop box was replaced a few days ago due to vandalism and had a note taped to it that states that 'mail and keys for the new box can be picked up from the Olivehurst post office' so I went down there to obtain my mail and the new key for the box only to be told by Ray working at the counter that the mail courier has the keys. He didn't seem to want to help me with the issue I was having with my keys and mail, and no Ray, nobody but you cares about the fact that you're off for the next few days! We just want our mail and keys so we can get on with our own days! So I never was able to get my mail from the post office! The 800 number listed apparently ISN'T the number for the Olivehurst post office, so I spent 45 minutes chewing out some poor woman who works for the USPS who answered that number when I called to see if I could get my mail and keys. She told me that I had to get my key from the local post office, which I had just left after being told that the courier had the keys, I drove by my neighborhood mail courier and asked her for the keys only to be told that I had to pick it up from the post office!! By the time I get my key I will have overdue bills and AT LEAST ONE social security check, as well as a pile of income tax forms that I need to file taxes. My 3 stars are for the runaround I had to go through and the keys not being available at the post office when the note they posted clearly stated that I had to get it from there. read more

Came in today, asked about whether I needed to write on the box or on a label, the postal worker asked me where I was shipping to and handed me a label. When I was finished came back to the counter and as she began processing she asked for her pen back, to which I replied, "oh, I used a sharpie, I brought it from home." She gave me a nasty look, so I said "you don't believe me?" She shook her head. Like seriously? Every time I come to the post office I bring a pen because there's never any there. Apparently yall need to take a look at your supplies budget and make a few adjustments. Next time I guess I will have to announce the pen as I am removing it from my coat as if it were a gun. read more

I moved to Olivehurst about a year and a half ago. I love this tidy little post office. It is slow, but there is only one person behind the counter. She does her very best and has always been courteous and helpful to me. I think she just needs more help! I am giving it four stars because it is slow, although that is not her fault. I live in Johnson Park and my mail carrier is dependable, agreeable and courteous. I just have no complaints with the mail service or the post office other than its understaffed. Post office powers that be please take note - we use our post office here in Olivehurst quite frequently apparently because it is always busy. You need more staff here! read more

Multiple packages have been delivered (per USPS Tracking number) to parcel lockers and no key is left. Mail and packages are given to the wrong houses. This has happened to countless neighbors. I have complained and told to file a missing package request, which asks them to look for my package (you know, do their job). Nothing happens other than you get another tracking number, and then the complaint expires after x months, without your package being found. If I could give a zero, I would. read more

So, I had a package delivered and that means that a parcel box key was left in my mail slot. So I grab the key and try to open the only parcel box that doesn't already have a key stuck in it. Well, this didn't work. So I called the post office thinking that maybe it was in a different box. The wait time said 23-34 minutes and I was running errands so I didn't have time to wait, so on my way to the store I stopped by the post office. When I got there I waited about 10 minutes because only one person works the register. I proceeded to explain my situation and the man said that the key I brought opens the box and that if i needed help then he could get the postal carrier to open it. This seemed to me like he was implying that i couldn't open it on my own. This key was stuck, did not open the box. So he said that he would take the key, have the carrier grab my package and then bring it to the post office and call me when it got there. So it has been an hour and a half and 30 minutes before they close. Still no call. So I call them and the woman says she doesn't know what I'm talking about. Not happy! Had a package delivery on a Sunday, mail person pulls up along the gate which was open not driving in I guess assumed I was closed (it's a business) didn't even get out of the truck, drove off and reported "delivery attempted business closed." Why even bother driving by if you're not even going to attempt a delivery seems to be a waste of resources to me, now a fellow co-worker that will be delivering regular mail on Monday will also be delivering this persons job also because they didn't want to get out of their truck and do their job. Nothing more frustrating than a package that is lost. The tracking shows the package was in the hands of the post office on March 1st, I was told by Joy after she looked up my tracking that she didn't understand why it was not scanned. I have called 4 times every time told I would get a call back, also left a note for my mail carrier in my box. Today I called for a 5th time, to be told that "they don't know what happened to my package, and it could have gone on the wrong truck, and there was nothing they could do." Awesome so now I am out $30, with the post office claiming zero responsibility for their neglect. What terrible customer service. Maybe they should slow down and pay better attention to residents packages. $30 is a lot to some and cant just run out and spend another $30 on the same item because of someone else's neglect.
