I understand they see a lot of possible "it could be situations" but they need to change how they help people, by asking more questions instead of assuming the situation and not be so dang impatient. This is not the first time I've tried to call the post office and it rings and it rings and then I get disconnected after I have to hear this pre-recording statement. I have the app that tells me in advance the mail I'll be receiving. On Monday it showed that I was supposed to get my mortgage statement, I didn't get it on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday or Thursday. No come back next week, Tuesday after 2pm. Tuesday at 3pm, I was told to come back Friday, the "Lady" never came in. Friday after 2pm, the post office is closed for the holiday! We have been having a problem with this post office for a while now. The lady who delivers our mail has basically refused to deliver our mail to our house. This has to do with our dogs and she states that one of our dogs is always out when she comes. I know he does get out at times but not all the times that she is stating (we also have cameras that can prove this) They have been writing dog warning on all our packages yet we have never received a paper slip saying so. My sister was waiting on Friday for her package and she made sure the dogs were inside. She got a message that it was delivered but when she went to get it it wasn't there. They then said it was because the dog was outside which he wasn't cause my sister made sure of that. (And this has happen other times as well) She went around 1:30 to go get her package and they said they didn't have it there. She was suppose to get her package Friday and didn't get it until Monday. So now it seems they are just not wanting to deliver and are writing dog warning on all our packages even when the dog is not out there. We have a neighbor that has a dog that will stick its face out the fence and barks at whoever and we have a feeling that that's what she is talking about but in the end that's not our dog and she has been refusing to deliver to us. My mom, sister and I have all talked to people there and they all have been rude and not wanting to help. My mom was talking to the higher up person and even that guy was being rude to my mom. My sister said that she went in to get another package and she said the lady went to hand it to her and then when my sister went to take it she pulled it away and wouldn't give it to her. The guy that my mom was talking to said that he can have the other guy deliver to us but it would only be once a week. So because this women is too scared of a little dog who isn't even out all the time we only get stuff delivered once a week? We all spend on our money for our packages and stuff and they think they are all high and mighty with their federal job that it seems like they can do what they want with our packages. My sister has tried to make complaints but every time she does it goes to error and won't let her for some reason. This post office really needs to fix their problems cause I know I am not the only one having issues. Housed in a cute historic building, this Post Office was the first one in Woodland. There is plenty of free two-hour parking in the lot nearby. I went on a Monday at around 11:30 a.m. and waited less than a minute for service. The clerk offered options for mailing my envelope in a way to minimize damage from the postal handling equipment and was very pleasant when ringing up my postage. Since there was no one waiting behind me she shared interesting facts about the building though she did not know when it was built (I'm guessing maybe the 1920's) The basement used to be a bomb shelter. If I need a post office and happen to be going to Woodland, I'll return here as opposed to going to the Davis main post office (always crowded along with parking shortages) read more

It's me again--this time I want to suggest to you to use the Woodland PO's "old school" way of requesting a hold on your mail. Go to the post office and request their "Authorization to Hold Mail" postcard, complete it, and give it back to the agent that gave it to you. Yesterday my husband and I went to the Post Office to pick up our held mail. They had part of it and the rest was sitting in our home mailbox with an overflow notice card. This is the third time since December 2021 that we used the USPS' online request to hold our mail. The first time worked fantastically. The second time our mail was never held--it was all in our mailbox even though I had the proper dates listed in my request and I showed the counter person my email with the confirmation. Yesterday, the agent said to make the hold request via the physical card process and return the completed card to them because the USPS software doesn't work well, and they won't see the request. (I thought the software worked really well from my side of things--maybe they aren't paying attention to the hold request emails they receive from the powers that be.). Perhaps they are short-staffed like the rest of the businesses in the US. Anyway, if you need to have your mail held, do it the old-fashioned way: go to the post office, fill out the card, and hand it to the agent. At least, that's the way I'll try it next time! read more

We received an orange dog/animal warning card in our mail box and I wanted to know why this postal carrier left this. I just witnessed a postal carrier swing off the sidewalk and right through my flower bed and across the lawn. When I confronted him on the porch, he stated, this is my first time doing this route. I said that is NOT an excuse. It made me think so on your old route you must have been carefree to go through flower beds etc. I said if he could not see the two paved pathways our neighbor and I provide for mail carriers and ourselves to traverse between the houses, then he should go around to the driveway. He really believed that his reasoning of being his first time on this route was valid. I know plenty of people who would love a federal job with benefits, so let's hire someone who thinks. read more

Went online for a mail hold. Went back online and edited the end date to be a week sooner. The day mail was supposed to be delivered passed and no mail, next day the same so I called- promised it would be brought to my home the next day. I played this game for 5 days- finally I called and asked for a supervisor- THEN the mail got delivered! Should not be this difficult!! read more

I went to the PO this morning to find my PO box broken into, and their reaction provoked into writing this review. I went to the desk and reported it. They said they have had several break ins. I asked them if they have had many break ins, why they didn't lock the lobby at night........ "We're thinking about it".....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The homeless sleep there on a regular basis, make a horrible mess in the lobby, PO boxes getting broken into and now they are "THINKING ABOUT LOCKING" the lobby........ ALSO.... I am a huge fan of Amazon and buy from them frequently. The first vendor that sent my package via the USPS, it was never found. I checked with the shipper and he said I needed to check with the PO first. I did and their response was, carrier said he delivered it. Now mind you in 3-4 years of getting stuff from Amazon via FedEx and UPS, I never had anything lost or stolen. read more

Under the knowledgeable auspices of Marianne, The Woodland Main Street Post Office Supervisor, {Whew!} The employees are always patient and friendly and do their best to go the extra mile for us, their trusty local clientele.. Every now and then a package gets mis-delivered, but I put that down to the odd addresses around here.. for example the house on the street behind us...is the exact same number.. just a different street. The driver will not get out of the truck to deliver mail. They refuse to deliver other than take 4 steps to the mail box.

I have never been exposed to such incompetence from a post office until I came to Woodland. Packages and mail are delivered to the wrong address on a regular basis (not even the same street name!!!) I get mail for other addresses not even close to mine and I then walk to these homes to give them their mail for fear it won't get there if I put back in the mailbox. No one answers the phone at the post office on either the local or 800 #!, so I can't even complain to the manager of the Woodland post office unless I physically go across town to do it! By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at any postal office. I had a very important package I was waiting to be delivered this morning. I received a text alert saying it was delivered and left on my front door step. When I went to check, there was nothing there. I called the office and Laquisha answered. She told me there was no way to get a hold of the drivers and I had to wait for them to get back at about 2:00 and she would call me then. I didn't hear from her by 2:10 so I called. She said the driver came back with no packages and it must have been dropped off. I said no... I've been waiting for this package all day and there is nothing at my door. She proceeded to tell me that the office is closed and the only reason she answered was because I was calling on a "carrier line" which is apparently the one listed on Google... So I have no package and sounds like it was delivered to the wrong address. Thanks Woodland USPS for sucking at your job. UPDATE: She called me again and said the driver drove past my house to see if the package was there and it wasn't. Wait time for shipping stuff is very long its best that you just make your own shipping labels on the internet and drop them off.

the post office closes at 3 and if I do not get home until 6. it is not open on the week end. I cannot get signed mail that is very important. also it is used as a hotel for the homeless. I have to call the police to clear them out so I can get my mail out of the box if I go after hours. when disturbed they get angry and fight back. read more
