Roger is the only reason we continue to go to this post office! His customer service is extraordinary, definitely deserves more recognition

My family has been using this post office ever since I could remember. Since I've moved back to West Co 2 years ago, I've been using it on a regular basis and have always had friendly service. I usually speak with a middle aged, black haired Asian woman or a Caucasian man. I wish I could remember their names, but I've never seen anyone else work there and they are both great employees. I'm the person who goes there with a bunch of stuff in my hand and goes up to the counter saying..."Hi, errrrr I want to mail this, how do I do that?" I'm clueless when it comes to packaging and the best way to do it, but they have never led me down the wrong path. I always get my money's worth and sometimes, they are even able to find me a used, but totally useable box for free. No guarantees. Even when it's busy, it moves fast, and you're treated kindly. All you procrastinators (me) who are calling post offices at 4:45 to see what time they close and need to get something post-marked by a certain day.....this place closes at 5!!! read more

I'm sure they are doing all they can. But when I tell you I've never been more disappointed with a post office til today. I waited an half an hour in the wrong line only to find out I need to be in another. Mind you I'm only doing a pick up. On top of that that line took even longer. It was slower than the regular line. How is that. Idk I hope my package never get dropped off here again. I wish they would have a sign or something separating the lines. That might make a difference. read more

I give this place five stars because the Asian lady who works here is super nice and accommodating. She's super quick to get what you need done, and she's always making sure that everything is correct when you need to send out packages (which I do). It seems as she's the only one who works in the front, while the other employees are doing something else in the back. I literally have no complaints... well, maybe the fact that sometimes it can take too long, but I blame that on the customer.. not the worker! Keep up the good work. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. read more

It's kind of weird to rate the post office, but the employees here are super nice, efficient, and helpful. If must be annoying to show dummies like me to ship things-- first class or priority, how much for blah blah, insurance or whatever. But these folks do it quickly and with a smile. :) They're super friendly, which is a huge difference from most other places run by government employees (like the DMV). read more

Friendly Staff and they will help you for everything you need and not to much people

There was a girl that worked there who have me terrible service. She was extremely rude and almost ripped me off and looked at me like I was dumb every time I told her where I was sending my packages to. She had no name tag on so I wouldn't be able to say what her name was. She told me to tape my label onto my package so once I did that, I was helped by Roger who had excellent service! He helped me out efficiently and got me out of there quick :) if you come to this post office, please go to Roger! He is great. read more

An employee named roger or oscar Lopez was very rude to his customer. The guy was asking question if he could shipped it first class or priority and he just start saying I don't really care. The customer left and was disappointed. This location need to train their employee customer service and suggestions. read more

I have used this Post Office since 2001. Once and awhile you will get lines up to 8 to 10 people. To state they never have lines is an inaccurate statement. The good news is, the lines usually move fast. I agree with the other posts here, the staff is friendly. There are normally two people working the counter, but I have seen up to three regular employees. I give them 4 stars only because THEY ARE CLOSED on Saturday's, which also means if you are expecting a package and it is due on Saturday, you won't see it till the following Monday. read more

I mailed a letter this morning with the lady (sonia,i guess). Then I went back this afternoon to check the mail I sent coz I thought I put the wrong address sticker to the wrong envelope. I patiently waited in line, then the guy in front of me was nice enough to let me go first. So I went to talk to the lady and as I was telling her my concern, this rude guy interrupted us saying "sonia u need to get the line moving." So I answered back and told him that I was in the line, and sonia agreed. Guess what, he got burned. He was speechless. This guy should be fired. He's acting like he's the boss. May u never be treated the way you're treating people. For sonia, hope one day u become the manager in this place. You deserve it coz you're nice and helpful. read more

Since the closure of the post office over by the mall, & moved to Azusa Ave South Hills, the mail delivery is the worst ever. I'm lucky if I receive mail by noon, but mostly my mail isn't delivered until after 7 pm & usually closer to 8 pm. Looking at the hours of operation on the website it's posted from 9-5, so why is my mail delivered so late. I'm sick & tired of trying to figure out what time to even go out to the box & collect mail. Talked to one of the mail persons who delivered & the excuse is that my street is at the end of the route. Baloney! get more people to deliver or shorten routes if a person can't handle the delivery by closing time. In other words my mail should be delivered no later than 5 pm. because that's when they close. If I could sue them for lousy service I would read more

I remembered back when customer service really meant something to the USPS. I stood in line for more than an hour to mail a package on Tuesday. Even though it was the day after a holiday, post office clerk supervisor should have anticipated that it would be very busy and should have provided adequate coverage - for even part of the day, anticipating peak hours. I asked the employee how come there is only 1 employee servicing the window. She said one employee was on vacation. She said there is another employee working the box window and in the back. I had a bill returned for no reason. I was told by an employee that a piece of mail would be returned in ten days. I did not receive any notification. I am not a 'will call' customer. I am one of all the post office customers from the main office that pays for post office box rentals. read more

Beware of the guy named Roger, he likes to upsell you unnecessarily, will lie to you and say there is a weight limit for flat rate boxes. He will make you use a bigger size box when you don't need it. If you don't do what he tells you he turns in an a**hole and become really rude and nasty. Just be careful! read more

This review is long overdue. I only remembered to write a review now I just finished writing a bad review for another post office near by. Service was so bad at the other post office , that it made me glad this location was my local post office. Service is always excellent and friendly here. The front counter is some of the best service I ever experienced in a post office. Roger and Sonya are who I see majority of the time. Always good vibes from them. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars this would be that. We are so upset about packaged that was lost at the location, but we are furious at the level of treatment we received. The associates here are not friendly whatsoever, except when they choose to be with selected customers. We have a tracking code that said it arrived at this location on 07/09. It has been 10 days and we visited 3 times since then to pick up one package. Their response is that they can't find it, and then try to change the story that they gave it to me. Although in their system it doesn't show it was scanned nor does it show picked up on our end. Ralph was the receiver of the package, and Monica was the person handling mail at the window. She said she couldn't find it, and recommended I speak with Ralph who puts its away. I told her I couldn't because I worked during their business hours. She said what about your wife, but she works too. Then she started to get rude and was like what do you want me to do let you in to find it yourself. Because she said she looked up and down, and that's a lie. She's busy sorting mail and giving people their mail. I told her she knows she can't let me back there, and to not make me feel stupid. I went Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Saturday my wife called the supervisor Angela Ortiz who was completely rude (Setting the example for her subordinates). I want them all to get a written up for representing the usps in negative way. I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay, so of course I need to be on point with my shipments as far as being on time and how safely my packages arrive to my buyers. So this is where this branch of the U.S. Post Office comes in. I come here because it's relatively small and not a lot of people come here, so there's hardly any lines and it's conveniently close to where I am. I'm a regular here, so I've gotten to know the two Postal clerks, Junior and Sonia. Out of all the Post Offices I've been too, they seem to be the friendliest and most helpful I've met. They're also very efficient with their work. I'm usually in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. My packages arrive in a timely manner and my buyers are happy. What more can you ask for from your local Post Office.. read more

I went in there and I asked if something could be weighed so I knew if the package was going to be affordable and my box was ready to go--she told me to go to the end of the line and wait behind the ten people. There's really not much to review other than it's fast and quick service! I go to Cal Poly Pomona but I live in Alhambra. The US Post Office in Downtown Alhambra is... just not my fave, so say at least. Since the carrier already picked up the mail at the mail center in our student union, I had to rush to this post office location to drop off an important package. I got there by 4:30 and was afraid that the line would be super long, considering Christmas is in two days. There was no line at all! I came in, told them I had a package to be delivered (and I already had my label paid for and printed through the USPS website), and had them drop it off for me. Literally in there for less than 10 seconds! I really like that because it's such a small and discreet location, it's not too hectic. TIP (FOR GPS USERS): f you do not know how to get here, the Maps app on your iPhone CANNOT figure out where you are. Another Yelper left a tip saying she had a gps issue as well. Whether or not it works on the Google Maps gps, I'm not sure. But I took Amar Road to get to this post office. I got onto Azusa, and then a minute later it told me I had "arrived" at my destination when I was literally nowhere near a single business building (the gps told me I "arrived" to the post office when I was on Azusa Ave and Giambi Lane, in case you were wondering). I continued to drive down Azusa so I could get on the 10 and go home since I gave up trying to look for it, but about half a mile up the road I found the plaza. Absolutely weird. But yeah, long story short, if you decide to use your gps and this happens to you, LOOK FOR THE SIGN FOR SOUTH HILLS PLAZA! The post office is very, very small in a somewhat slower plaza, but it's there in the back corner of the place. read more

This is the ONLY post office with the best customer service I visited so far. It only has 2 staffs but they always carry the smile and people are feeling welcome. Beside that, they both are very helpful and knowledgeable. I remembered that staffs at the other locations, they all carry their poker face, with very bad customer service especially the one on Gale ave, city of Industry. Highly recommend this location if you are around West Covina. read more

This post office can get super busy, but the workers (I have dealt with Junior and Sonia) are super nice. They genuinely care about you. This is one of my favorite post offices to ship out of (the other is the one in Claremont). When I ship things out during my lunch, I come here, then pick up lunch at Sushi Boy next door to the grocery store, Marukai. I love how conveniently located it is. read more

This Post Office is great if you will be helped by Sonia. She will try to save you money and goes above and beyond to help. However, I am giving three star because of the guy who works there. There are only two staff in this branch. Sonia and the rude guy. He is just a plain asshole. He will not help even the line is long. He wouldn't even answer a simple question. read more

Its hit and miss, sometimes super crowded and sometimes you are in and out. Its a well hidden little gem to avoid the main WC post office where there is usually a huge crowd. There is only 2 people that work the counters so avoid lunch time since one person usually goes out to lunch. Small local post office -catering to the local residents read more

After such horrible service at the West Covina branch off of California I decided to drive to this location (as it use to be my location before I moved ). Glad I did. The service at this post office is greatly appreciated and is always consistent with their helpfulness . Roger helped me out tremendously when I package of mine was misrouted . Kudos to him ! This office is the best office I ever been to. I went to one on chapman in Fullerton which is near my home earlier that I got rejection cuz my little stuff was unpacked! Then I stopped by this office to try to mail it. Sonia who was a only staff on duty helped me all the way. She looked for fitted box in the storage twice just wanted to save the money for me. Also she provided me the stuff and sealed the box. Whole thing likes that is mailing her own stuff. So warm, so grateful! Same job but different attitude...Oh . She smiled all the time. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have held off and held off and held off on writing a review for this place for the simple fact that I work with the public, and know how it is sometimes, however, today was the last straw. Both of the workers in this post office are completely and utterly oblivious to what customer service actually is. Every time I come into this place, you have the woman, Sonia I believe her name is running her mouth about some garbage that is completely irrelevant to the business at hand, meanwhile the line continues to build and build. The other gentleman Roger, is just plain and simple a dick! Condescending, acts like he is the king of the post office, and gives every single person an attitude if they have to ask any question. God forbid u are unaware of what label to fill out, or u will be very rudely sent out of line and told to fill out your slip and get to the back of the line. Both workers are completely un-interested with helping people, or moving the line. My final straw today was as their was about 10 people in line, Roger decided it would be a great time for a break. Third times already. Dispatched from facility at very late in the afternoon. Mailed my package using priority mail at 9am and the staff said it will be dispatched at 2:30pm. When I checked my tracking, yes the package was scanned at 9:30pm, but not dispatched after 4pm. Priority mail should NOT take more than 2 days for delivery within Southern California, not to mention from LAC to OC. Other USPS at City of Industry never has this problem. I tho you all may need to be aware of this. If you don't mind the slow shipping, then this facility is fine. If you need to mail time sensitive package/mail, then DO NOT go to this USPS. read more
