I understand the previous reviews about the long waits, and how people can get frustrated when they have to wait longer than usual. I didn't experience that today because coming I was helped by my rep, who provided valued service in helping me ship my package. As someone who doesn't use the PS a lot I often have questions about packing and wrapping, so I brought extra items to help with the process. The rep, Lynn, not only offered to help wrap the rest of the package, but also was patient in answering my questions about shipment date and tracking. I'm glad I was able to experience such a positive interaction with her and will be utilizing this service and location in the future. Hopefully they can find more people to man the counter, because a line did form after I left. But inpatient people will also be a problem in any business and that shouldn't fault the reps. read more

never again...package was supposed to be delivered monday but "animal interference" my small dog was in the house so i don't know how you'd fail to deliver the package. package status changed to "will reattempt on next available day" so i'd figured they'd try again tomorrow...nope...because not even 24 has passed and they changed the status of the package again "return to sender processed" absolute clowns of a business for hiring whoever. Walked in to ask about the package because the tracking status shows it's still at that location. they weren't really sure what to do and finally pulled their manager up, asked for my info and said he'd check with the deliver driver what happened and give me a call that same day...but NEVER DID. asked a friend who works at the shipping department of a store because he uses all the shipping companies like fedex, ups, usps, etc. and told me that usps specifically will NEVER actually re attempt to deliver the package they mark to re attempt... never using usps...what should have been a one week delivery is now taking a month+, will have to email the company to resend the package but with a different shipping company. let the company know so hopefully they won't be shipping out with usps as much anymore. also ended up calling usps 1-800 office number (not la puente location, corporate number) to notify them of the issue. lady over the phone was great and was even confused herself how it went from "out for delivery" to "returned to sender" in less than 24hours, said usually they're supposed to reattempt the delivery and can hold the package at the location (la puente usps) for a couple days to figure out what the buyer what's to do with the package. but instead went ahead and gave themselves the green light to return. *october 27, 2025 @7:01am- "out for delivery " *october 27, 2025 @1:43pm-"delivery exception, animal interference" *october 28, 2025 @8:17am "returned to sender processed" from "delivery exception" to "returned to sender" 19hours has passed...not even a whole day...and it went to "returned to sender" corporate lady over the phone was even confused on why they did that. guess they'll hire anybody at la puente usps office. no need to worry about day drinking or doing drugs on the job they don't seem to care too much, they'd probably prefer that. more packages you lose the faster you get that manager position. 1.how you you fail to deliver "animal interference" when the little dog is behind doors...you planning to come into the house? or if it's a random parson walking their dog down the sidewalk wait 15...30... seconds for them to pass before getting out if you're that scared. 2. changed to "will re-attempt on next available day" but not even 19hours from EXPECTED DELIVERY has passed and all of a sudden it changed to "return to sender"... clowns in a circus... read more

Amazing post office, great customer service. Susan helped me out with my packages, she's is the best! I left the "Hub" post office off of Gale after the man was super rude to me. The Kiosk kept on crashing. So I went to him to manually mail out my packages. He was rude and didn't want to work. I left and came here. So glad I did. You can tell susan loves her job. This review is for their passport service. The website says walk ins 9-3 but it's only for renewals. If you're applying for a new passport you do need to call for an appointment. I wanted to renew mine and apply for a new one for my 10 week old son, but wasn't able to do his. Made an appointment over the phone and it's in two weeks. You can get your passport photo taken for $15. The lady, Monica I believe her name is, is pleasant, and quick with processing your form. read more

Do not come to this US post office unless you have extra time and gas money to waste from driving back and forth, it's not worth it. The lady who works here goes on her break without updating the store hours. I visited this post office 4 times and only received help once. All 3 times I got sent away because the door was locked and the lady was gone. Extremely inconvenient for the people who visit on their lunch break from work. It's a waste of time, gas money, and you have to drive to the next nearest post office or you'll have to come back whenever the lady is done with her break. I had to rate this place as a one star because theyve lost my mail for about exactly a month. An important mail that i directly dropped it at this post office (inside dropoff). I mailed it on march 29th to Eagle Rock and i just found out that it arrived today (April 29th) there. When i visited this Postoffice to notify them of a lost mail, they guaranteed it that Everything was picked up and wont go wrong in the delivery. This is my second negative experience with this post office. This is the main office that delivers my mail--so I have no choice but to put up with ALL their mishap and Bullshit!!! I tried calling numerous times over the past week because its inconvenient for me to drive there. I even called the USPS phone line, waited for an hour and 35 minutes to see if they have another phone number they can provide me instead of the one I've been calling. They said no, they only had one phone number to provide me which was the one that kept giving every caller a direct repeat busy tone. So I finally found a bit of time and managed to get over there right before they closed, parking lot is tight and it seems like right before they close is their RUSH HOUR. I walk in and wait in line, and there were 2 individuals ahead and behind me, an asian lady comes out from the back and calls the guy over since she sees he had a notice slip with him, she got him his package and got him on his way not caring to ask if anyone else needed help with a package. I went up to the other lady and she told me to wait for that asian lady whose sole job is to take care of people's packages. I ask her about the constant busy phone lines, and she blames it on another woman whose job is to answer phone lines, I even called and had it on speaker to prove to her that it wasn't an isolated incident! she said that was ODD, and she will look into it, but she seemed as if she HAD TO SAY THAT to make me go away. She didn't give a shit. I filled out forms for my MISSING "Delivered" package, I asked when I will be receiving a call back, she assured me it would be TODAY--yeah right! I DID NOT GET ANY CALL. I told her this was the 2nd time this has happened to me, where my packages mysteriously go missing... and that the first time, it miraculously showed up in my mail box weeks later. She didn't care. This post office has horrible customer service, I have had 2 issues with a guy that works there with gray hair. First time he didnt close my po box right. 2nd time I recently opened a new one and he did something to where it didnt register in the system that I had taken my paper work to the post office and I was still receiving emails that I needed to come and get my keys. I refuse to let him help me anymore when I go there because he obviously doesnt know what he is doing. Then I tried to call to resolve this last issue for 3 days, i was calling on my break, put on hold. then the line was busy for 2 hours. then I would call on my lunch and they would leave me on hold for 20 minutes at a time,. Never comming back to the line. That is horrible service. P:S: all I can say is PETER is the only one I like to deal with. He always gets my problems fixed and hes super nice. read more

UPDATED BELOW. Absolute garbage location with garbage employees. Will return to update this. Saw 3 other individuals walk out angry and upset thier packages were lost, should've seen it as an omen. I redirected my package here and it was a big mistake! Claimed someone signed for it and had no clue and couldn't hold themselves accountable and couldn't be bothered. I walked out before my head exploded and I could make a fool of myself. UPDATE: after calling the post office directly, I was assured by a rep the situation would be reviewed.
