Daniel the manager is extensively rude. The Bonney Lake location failed to provide service and Liz and the other gentleman there were super rude. I just wanted them to take a package that I had weighed, measured, and pre-postaged and they wouldn't- sighting it was more expensive now that I was in store. This made no sense as the dimensions and weight they sighted were exactly the same and they agreed there was no difference they just charge more in store, but I had already put postage on the package so it was prepaid. I tried to explain this to everyone and show them the cost online. No one cared. Liz was super rude, Daniel hung up on me (the manager that wasn't at the location). It's very disappoint with this place. We looks up the time walk-in for passport, it's from 11:30-12:30pm on Tuesday, but when we get there they say it's closed for walk-in even the time still not 12:30pm. Staffs are unfriendly. This post office has now lost 3 important pieces of mail in the last 2 months (that I'm aware of) causing huge wastes of my time putting stop payments on lost checks and replacing lost items. Who knows how many other pieces of mail went missing that I don't know about? They delivered my mail to my neighbor on at least 2 occasions (that I'm aware of). I signed up for Informed Delivery to help, but it only led to more stress since I can now see more pieces of mail which were scanned but never delivered. This lost mail is not returned to the sender either. Where does it go?? When I go in person to get help, they just say there is nothing they can do. What is wrong with this location? This place is part of the reason USPS is losing the competition to FedEx and UPS. We tried to have an end table delivered from Amazon but they wouldn't even load it in the mail carrier's truck. To her credit, she left a nice handwritten note saying this is too heavy for her to safely lift and I would need to pick it up at the post office myself. Mildly annoying but understandable. I go to pick up the package making sure to bring the little slip they leave you. The polite person behind the counter takes the slip and disappears for a few minutes before waiving me over to a door for oversized packages. Having seen the sign on the wall saying all pickups require ID, I went to meet her with driver's license in hand. When I offered said ID, she waived it off saying the slip is good enough. I lugged the 45lbs package to my car and later into my house. I opened the package brimming with the excitement and trepidation that only comes with the prospect of putting together an IKEA style table only to find a hammock stand and hammock. I looked at the shipping label on the box and realized the person at the post office had matched the first 5 digits of the address and nothing else. If they had taken 2 more seconds to confirm the slip I gave her with the shipping label, or looked at my ID already in my hand, I wouldn't need to lug this thing back to my car or the post office! read more

Every time I notice a shipment I am anticipating, or a shipment I've sent is being routed through the Sumner post office, I cringe. Packages go here to die, get lost, damaged or worse! I've ordered several items over the years that hit the Sumner PO which were then delayed, and I reordered said items from alternate vendors, and received the items before the items were lost or delivered through this facility. I live in Olympia which is approx. 45 minutes away, and I'm watching my (probably now dead) package there for the last 3 days. Without a doubt the absolute worst post office in the Pacific Northwest, and quite possibly beyond. The sad thing is, it's been this way for many years. read more

Good experience at the post office. I wanted to mail a few items to a friend and decided to go to the post office in Sumner. I went in, decided what box/envelope I needed and waited in line for a representative to assist. The line was about 7 people deep but it went fairly quick. The representative I spoke to was very friendly. He told me that I had selected the wrong label for the envelope. If I wanted to save money I could do it another way. He provided me with the correct envelope and assisted me on the spot. He even recommended I stuff the old envelope in the new one so I didn't have to repackage the whole thing. The entire time he was engaging and asking how my day was and how he wishes he was at the address I was sending my package too because chances are, it's warmer than what was currently outside. I took 1 star off because the disposition of packing materials are a bit disjointed. I grabbed the envelope and the label from the same rack and would have never suspected they were mismatched. I think a little reorganizing and visual explanation of what is used on what would go a long way. Other than that, great place. No issues with staff. read more

I cannot begin to describe how irritated these people make me. We get our mail roughly every other day, not every day. And when they do decide to deliver the mail, it's after 5 PM. I've had multiple packages say they are out for delivery and I don't receive them for days after. It's like these people are on no time schedule. I wish I could do half ass work at my job too, but the world doesn't work like that. Can't wait to be out of our place for this exact reason. They also give us other peoples mail almost every single time we actually get mail. We've received the neighbor's (from a block down the road) packages multiple times and I have to go return it. As much as I want to give a better grade I can't. Change of address means nothing here. I have lived in the City Of Sumner for over 10 years but in a couple different homes. If it wasn't for our personal Mailman it would be a -10 on the scale. My business is also located in Sumner and even though we switched offices over six months ago, And followed all the proper channels for address changes, I have yet to receive mail to the proper address. Super disappointed, and I really would like my mail where ever it is. read more

Be careful having items delivered to your home. They can't read addresses, and deliver things to the wrong home every day! Fortunately we can usually walk them to the right place. But if we wanted, we'd sure have a lot of items we didn't purchase from QVC, Amazon, and other on-line vendors. Pretty easy when the mail carrier puts someone else's mail on your doorstep. But I wonder what I may have lost in the same manner. read more

Only 2 windows open during Christmas holiday....people lined out of the main area. Opening at 9 a.m. when other post offices open at 8:30??? Why??? With a growing population why not have a outlet in a local store to take some of the overload? Poorly run. read more

Unfortunately things have not improved over the last 5 years. The people inside the actual facility are nice and accommodating. Our regular carrier is great but because he's experienced they take him off our route to fill in when people call in sick. Consequently we get the "new kid on the block" who can't find addresses on the main streets. They desperately need better management! read more

Well haven't gotten my mail in 3 Days and have some very important documents. I have the USPS email set up to show me what is supposed to come today and the items were supposed to be here 3 days ago!!! Not to mention they lost a response by mail to a speeding ticket that now we have to deal with. Not sure why they can't get it figured out. Nice Clean facility, but our mail delivery is very inadequate. Just received a payment dated July 17, 2015. Hum, you think that payment will be good. "No" Some days, we get mail and then we go for three to four days with no mail in our po box. read more

Workers couldn't care less about where your package is, if it will be delivered, and if the carrier forgets to deliver it. They will just let you play a guessing game as to where it is in the system, even though you've tracked it through their system, and how you can get it. It may get delivered the next delivery day, or you may have to hunt it down at the office and hope by gods grace that the person behind the counter feels like getting off their rear end and track it down. We routinely have to swap mail with our neighbors, as it appears the carriers 'kind of' take a look at which box it goes in. Regular drivers? Good luck. We've got at least 4 different drivers during a 6 day delivery week. Good luck at getting anyone to care as to accuracy. read more

My mail carrier is the worst ever. She is so lazy and stupid. She put my mail on hold for 5 weeks and would only deliver a letter or two once a week. I didn't realize it until I ordered a package and I got an attempted delivery notice in my email. That dumb bitch didn't attempt to deliver shit. I hope USPS goes out of business. They are terrible beyond belief. Feel kind of sorry for the office workers as they probably get bitched at regularly for something that isn't their fault. They were very helpful. read more

I've been in here twice both times for lost very important documents that get sent in the mail. When I asked if they might have it, Both times they look at me like I'm stupid and claim there delivery girl is, "very good". I ask if they can look for it inn the back, they huff and puff like it's a problem to go check. never enough people at the windows ..never does the clerk call for help. i ve been there many times and 20 peolpe or more are lined up. some are elderly and disabled and there is no where to sit down..hope they go out of business. terrible ..not handicap friendly or courtesy is offered. terrible customer service. not an employee issue rather a management and funding issue i assume. read more

Well, the post office itself is O.K., people working there are very nice though often there are Loads of people there and only a couple of people working at the counters! But -- that's not their fault!! My BIG complaint is that I recently (March 2018) went on a trip and filled out a hold-mail form online and got a confirmation that yes, my mail would be held and as I checked the "deliver accumulated mail" box, my mail would be delivered when I got back (Wednesday 3/28). Well it's Saturday March 31st and so far, no mail!! The last time I did this, i did get my mail though a day late. I should've gone down to the post office but figured they would deliver my mail yesterday (Friday) and now the post office is closed as it's Saturday. I'm going to see if I can intercept the mail person today. They usually come very Late -- often as late as 6:00 P.M. but I've noticed it depends on who's doing the delivering. read more

Our previous carrier was amazing. There is a new carrier now, and he is lazy. In the last two weeks 10 packages have been "attempted" for delivery (mind you they are from amazon and say right on the label 'carrier leave if no response'). Funny, I work from home and am 15 feet from my front door and nothing has been attempted. The other day when we were at the post office they even gave us packages that were scheduled to be delivered that very day, and when we got home the carrier had left an 'attempted' delivery notice in our mail box ... how exactly did you attempt delivery if you didn't even take the package with you!! (our mailbox is at the end of our road - he is too lazy to drive down to our house). I was assured this would not happen again, and guess what ... just got an attempted delivery notice. read more

If they have to go and "look", Goodbye, you won't see them again for fifteen minutes. They lost a delivery, a package for my 13 year old son. He had spent his own money on a collectable, that was quickly out of stock, (read irreplaceable). At first, the manager tried to make it my fault!?! After I pointed out that they had made the mistake (tracking showed it arrived), he shrugged and said "it must be in the system somewhere." They are continuously terrible. We stopped getting forwarded mail a month after our move, and they had no record of the forwarding address or information. We've had numerous notices from Amazon that package delivery was attempted, but no one was available, even though there was someone here all day and no one left a notice for us either. The delivery can be anywhere from 10AM to 9pm or later, and a lot of the time it won't be delivered at all. And now the door on our cluster mailbox is broken so mail isn't coming at all. The carrier said a substitute carrier broke the latch because they were too rough. There is a notice that a work order has been called in to fix it, but then we heard the carrier told someone else it was the HOA responsibility - but even if that's true, no one bothered to notify the HOA. It's been broken for a week and a half now. When we went into the post office to ask about it, they said we'd have to track down our letter carrier. Most of the workers in there are rude and uncaring. A tiny few are good there but most must really hate their job and everyone who they have to deal with. read more
