We expect to wait at the SH PO. On 12/8/25 only one person was helping customers and they allowed a passport appointment to take place during this busy holiday morning. There were ~8 of us in line while he processed 3 passports followed by a lengthy post office box application. The attendant was poised and polite and we do not blame him as he had to do everything including the passport photos. Postmaster Lemonious was not in the office but he should have been there to help when staff is low. P.S. no holiday stamps. read more

Solid little post office with post office boxes, supplies and customer counter. Bigger packages held here. Passport appointment you can make here, too. They have plastic up and require masks. Parking out front is free for 15min. It took a while in line but it eventually squared away. Look for Jas if you have mail forwarding questions. Open until 5p on weekdays, 1pm on Saturdays. At times great service, if there is no line. All too often the line is long and the experience suffers. I'm very happy with our postal carriers but the counter people here never seem to work with any speed. They seem unable to call up another counter rep when the line expands. read more

The short hills post office was an amazing place, where George went out of his way to know his customers and their needs. Many many times he advised me on the best way to send packages to my kids at college in different states. Loved his service. Unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. Went in to get estimates to ship products to west coast , gave the young lady , destination, size and weight of packages. Received such a condescending attitude, was extremely rude, felt talked down to and was unable to provide any estimates despite address, volume and box size. I miss George and expect SH post office to take care of its long time residents for continued patronage. read more

Terrible. The USPS staff here clearly does not care. We use the online USPD system for mail holds and Informed Delivery. In little over a year of living in town we've experienced too many issues to all list here. A hold order was knowingly ignored and the mailbox full when we returned from a trip. Mail pieces for which we have notifications via informed delivery email are not being delivered. Zero accountability by the staff. "Service" as in USPS? Not here! read more

This is a very bad post office. Have had a number of issues with them. They are supposed to be open at 9am on weekdays. I have stopped by multiple times after 9am they are never open. There are people in the back moving things but the window is never open. Had to have my mail held because I would be away for a few weeks. When it was supposed to be delivered they never did. Had to put in a formal complaint for them to restart my mail and still they lost a number of bills that I had to pay. Did not get some of my mail till a week later. Avoid this post office if you can. read more

My local post office. Hours are not the most convenient and no 24 hour machines like in Summit. That being said the people who work there are quite nice for a post office. Been here a few times and it's been a quick process. Courteous staff, knowledgeable, do what I need and send me on my way. No long lines ( see photo). It may be the time of day that I visit. All good. Would be a five star expetience but the passport services are (as I was told) handled by one person who happens to be at lunch when I walk in. No big deal I actually have time today so ill just reseve one star. If I had no time I would hold back more stars in my rating and iv would probably vent hard. Good free parking. Stopped by to renew my passport and was pleasantly surprised. They were well prepared with a separate line on the very cutely named "red carpet". The postal workers were very friendly both with us and each other. George was super nice and we had a great conversation about college football! I was so impressed because it's a tedious process and he made it easy. Big thumbs up for George! Also, he needs more jumbo paper clips if anyone can help with that. read more

The worst post office. I got there at 8:55 mind you I am due at work at 9 but I guess post offices do not open before 9 these days and I'm waiting till 9:06 still NOBODY comes to window to assist side note there is at least 6 people waiting. So now I am LATE to work and nobody helped me. Get on the ball already!!! read more

Staff is rude and instead of looking for ways to be helpful, the staff seems to find every opportunity to impede and be unhelpful. If you **must** use USPS "services", do yourself a favor and find another Postal Office. The one in South Orange is much better. read more

The woman at the register, Sheronda, was very RUDE and snarky with me. Her attitude made this experience very unpleasant. Will not be going there. I'll go two towns over next time. read more
