This is a review of the Hollywood USPS station in Salem, Oregon. The staff used to be nice, efficient and friendly. The current staff, particularly, the young-ish woman with long straight brown hair I think needs to find another job. The PO was completely empty with no other customers and she scolded me for not standing in a certain spot to wait for her to get to her station. She also told me to put 2 first class stamps on a letter when I could have saved money (a little) if she had taken the time to weigh the letter and put a USPS printed postage label on it. She also was rude and unhelpful about a package sent to another town in Oregon with a legitimate address, which the PO returned as undeliverable and more postage due - that issue did not get resolved and no real help was provided by the clerk. The grounds of the station are a mess, with weeds, untrimmed shrubs and general untidiness. The exterior of the building needs to be repainted. Sad, as I have used this PO for over 40 years and value its location and generally, the USPS services and the fact that it is a publicly-owned service. read more
