It took a couple months after shipment for the items to be inspected by the auction house and then listed for bids. When I saw the auction photos, a WWII Navy battle lantern with one crack across the corner of a thick glass lens had arrived with that same lens shattered. When the auction house was notified that this was not the condition the item was sent in, the auction house said that overall the shipment wasn't packed well and avoid this location. As a lessor valued item in the lot, an insurance claim so long after sending wasn't worth the effort, and the remaining items were intact. The service here has always been friendly and prompt, and I will continue to use this shop. Not when shipping antiques... I tried to respond to the owner by email, to give greater details in writing and provide photos, but apparently their email address is not routinely monitored, and no response after a week. Note that the UPS Pack and Ship Guarantee says if your item "is damaged or lost in transit, you'll be reimbursed*." Because of that sneaky asterisk though, I wouldn't count on it. Restrictions apply. Participating locations only. No mention of it.

If he did try to repair it, he would have to take it back to their shop and the labor/materials would be more than half the cost of a new unit. Master Appliance sells Speed Queens and the cost for the washer/installation/delivery/haulaway was much cheaper than Lowe's or Home Depot to replace our current GE model. I had a package say it was delivered in my locked mailbox but it was not there. I don't live with…read moreroommates and I'm the only one with a key to this lock box. I work a 9-5 job m-f so I can't go to the post office during their normal hours. They don't pick up their phone. Every hour I'd call them 7-8 times and nothing was picked up. 83 calls total over the course of 5 buisness days and I got them to pick up twice. The first time they were very helpful, told me they'd talk to the delivery driver to see what was going on and the would give me a call back with more info. Over a buisness day goes by and no call back so I start grinding out calling them every hour 7-8 times until someone eventually picked up again and told me "yeah it's lost go file a claim" of which I have the second I noticed it was missing. You get a confirmation email saying "well get back to you in 1 buisness day about updates on your situation" and on the website where the claim is it says 3 buisness days. I waited 4 buisness days and nothing. So I'm out an expensive package, several hours trying to call to get updates (I called throughout the entire day starting at 8:30am on the dot and my last call would be about 4:55pm). I don't know what other words I can use to express how unprofessional, unhelpful, and unmotivated these workers are.
