Hello, I would love to say I love coming to this post office first it was VINCE He's very kind and he's very patient. He's always has a smile so I want to say thank you. Amazing customer service very patient and has a beautiful smile that lights up the whole room. and there is another person a young lady name LEISA what a wonderful, amazing beautiful smile always happy and very colorful. I love her orange and pink flowers that she has there. She is a breath of fresh air. I was explaining to them today I kept forgetting to get their names to say how welcome it is for the come in there and they say hello to you and they take all the time and all of that she explained to me today how the process worked with the packaging and I appreciate her customer customer service and her patience. Not possible to contact a supervisor here. The Cleark will lie to you about if you can send a package overseas. I was told my package was not in compliance, but everything was in compliance. I then took it Royal Oaks Post Office who said there was no problems with my package. and sent it off with a verbal guarantee. I had a similar problem a few months back. but then they had a supervisor present who got them to behave. our mail service at Colonial Post office has gone 3rd world. read more

Something is definitely off with this Postal office. First of all I cannot reach anyone to ever answer a call or get back to me. I've had very serious mail issues with deliveries. Not receiving very important mail which has secured information and I'm quite concerned about security breach. My mail carrier shows no regard with delivering the correct or my mail. It always ends up with my neighbor next door which I fear could get into the wrong hands. He does this consistently. I've lived here 26 years never had this problem with my mail until 3 yrs ago when he started new. This postal carrier should not be delivering mail. read more

They called me about a missing package, even though I asked to be contacted via email. Of course I missed the call- they left a voicemail asking for me to call them. I spent 30 minutes trying to get through the phone lines but they refuse to answer the phone. Customer service is poor. read more

First visit here to drop off a pre paid package. This location was near for me to stop in on a weekday afternoon with no line and plenty of parking. The gentleman was very rude not only to myself but the customer in front of me. Short response with a tone of annoyance. We are not professionals at mailing packages so if we make a mistake, guidance is appreciated rather than sending us to the end of the line to fix it without knowledge of how to fix it. I understand we all have bad days but when you work in a job that serves others you don't spread your negative attitude onto customers. i am a fan of this place. The place is smaller than the other one i have been too. i tend to think this place is less known so there are less people and less busier than other post office. its sort of hidden in a neighborhood so it could be a drive by and miss seeing it easily. i usually remember this place because it has a flag pole with a flag so i can spot it easily while driving. Te parking lot isn't too big but since there aren't that many people coming here, parking isn't an issue. The last few time i was waiting in line it was moving very slow. Today i went in to mail some more stuff and omg it was moving really fast today. i was like wow usually i have to wait forever. there were three people on the counter today. Also they have limited edition batman stamps so thats a plus too. overall i will come here over the other post office since i find this to be the less busy one. read more

So I brought my pre-paid flat rate envelope here and they said I can't ship it out?? Because it's "not flat rate" when I used the usps flat rate envelope??? I've been coming to this post office since way before I became a Yelper or even heard of Yelp. I guess I am one of the few lucky ones who has not had a bad experience at this post office just from reading the other reviews. Yes, this post office is located in South Sacramento, but I haven't had any weird ghetto encounters there. Anyway, the post office is located in a neighborhood so it is easy to drive by and miss it and have to turn around. The parking lot is very small and is only one way. During busy hours, sometimes all of the spots are full and you have to wait until someone backs out to take their spot. Usually this isn't too much of a problem since not a lot of people spend their time at the post office just for fun. Normally, people get in and get out so a parking spot become available pretty fast. The inside of the post office is very small, clean, and well organized. When you first walk in, you see the mail boxes, then you enter another room on the right which is where you go for services such as purchasing stamps, items, and sending off packages. In this room, there are the USPS flat rate boxes, random gift boxes, slips to fill out if you want confirmation, insurance, change of address and etc. There is also a long counter for you to fill out your slips. During the crazy busy hours, the line is super long so if you can, definitely go at the odd hours in the day. From my experience, the employees there have never been rude or treated me like I was stupid. I did notice that even when there is a long line, they don't necessarily show any sense of urgency to hurry up and service as many customers as possible. They all go at a normal pace even when the line is out the door. Not to sound like an asshole, but I also noticed that one of the reasons why the lines are so long and the employees have to spend more time with certain customers is because these customers are not even ready to send off their packages yet they still get in line. Once they've reached the counter to be helped, they're just now writing down the addresses on their packages or just now filling out confirmation slips. WTF? Really?!? You had so much time while in line to do this as well as maybe doing this at home before you get to the post office?!? Oy vey! Anyway, that's just an observation of mine. In addition, if you already have postage on your packages and simply just want to drop something off, let the employees know so you don't have to wait in a long line. Overall, I don't really have any complaints about this post office and would recommend it to others. read more

I don't like being treated like an idiot. The sales associate told me "duh, common now" after I asked a simple question. I asked if they typed in an international address, would it show if it was written incorrectly as my uncle wrote it in an order than wasn't similar to the states. It was a simple question and she rolled her eyes and said the system doesn't say if an address is wrong, "common now". Not once but three times in one sentence. The last time I checked... I don't work at the post office to know their system, hence I asked a question. Not only did she speak to me that way, she spoke to two other clients as I stepped back to make sure the address was correct on the phone. Its deserted. Lines short. I had to mail a box to a friend. It's an old location but it serves its purpose. It was an unusual week day at an odd hour around 3pm. The line was actually so short, I was the next one to be serviced once I walked right into the post office. There is merchandise that you can use like envelopes, gift boxes and some options to choose on how you plan to mail your box/letter. It is a post office with short lines. I like it. read more

I've come to this location twice and both times have been infinitely better than most of the other post offices in the area. The first time I came to mail a box and I found that the place was large and clean and the service friendly. Recently I ordered boots online because, hello, who doesn't want new boots? I got the package slip at home saying that they brought it back to the post office. So yesterday I made sure to check that they were open until 5pm, because I would have to race to get there after work. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get there for another week and a half and risk them sending it back. So when I walked in yesterday at 4:52pm and everything was closed, I swore at my fiancé, then realized there was a bell at the customer service door. A guy opened the top half of the door and cheerfully exclaimed, "helloooo, young lady! how may I help you?" Instantly I was like, "this dude is cool." I gave him the slip for my boots and he grabbed the package and came back and said, "large box! why's it so light?" and I told him, "BOOTS!" and that I found them online for only $10! TEN DOLLARS! RIGHT!? He then told us that we should go to the Vacaville outlets because they have SO MANY shoe stores and he took his son there for back to school shopping and got 7 pairs of shoes. I cannot believe the carrier shoved all my items in a tiny little box! Including precious seeds in 70 degree weather when it was shipped priority mail. He also forced two huge books in the box that did not fit, smashing everything all inside a tiny metal box. We "used" to have an awesome carrier, an older man who was always friendly and walked larger packages in our business. I am in the 95820 zipcode. Workers here are always really polite and helpful. During lunch time and later in the day you usually find longer lines but mornings are good, if you're trying to get out quickly. read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff is friendlier and helpful compared to other post offices. This location is easy to miss since it is located in a neighborhood. I have never had an issue with parking. The line does move slow sometimes. The downside to this post office is the hours. read more

Poorly managed. I hate having to come in. I try to use either the Alhambra Blvd or Elk Grove - Florin Rd offices. As another reviewer noted, some of the staff are rude and "ghetto" but not all. Go to the two mentioned above to avoid unnecessary frustration and delays. read more

I don't usually go to the Colonial Station USPS but I was randomly in the area and needed to mail a few packages. It was around noon on a weekday, so I wouldn't have been shocked if that was a busy time for this post office- not so. I got a parking space right near the entrance, there were no other customers and no lines, the girl who checked me out was super friendly, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. If you are shipping from this office buy insurance, your package is likely to end up missing. The lost mail search is a joke, and they are losing packages at this location. Use UPS, FedEX, or literally anyone else if you want your packages to actually arrive at their destination. read more

I was in and out but I didn't like that the staff was pretty rude. I get it, you don't like to work on a Saturday but work is work, no need to be rude. I asked to use a pen after not being able to find one on the counter, who doesn't have available pens at a post office? So after she rudely hands me a pen she tells me to get out of line and wait until I'm done with my package. I was polite and said please and thank you and she never acknowledged me. Moments later after the incident, I assume the lady I talked to on the phone reached out to the carrier to check on the mailbox (apartment mailboxes which has many). Well what can I say? Place is close and pretty cheap. Staff is generally pretty nice and will accommodate to your questions when you ship something. However, be wary of the Asian woman in there however, as she can have a short temper and may give you a hard time when you have questions or are new to the shipping process. I think it is absolutely poor service to leave a "pick up slip" without stating WHAT TIME you can pick up your mail. Wasted my time by driving down here and the lady treated me like I was stupid for not knowing that I had to come tomorrow. Well excuse me if you wrote "pick up after.."
