I had to send out a package and knew this post office was in the area during some of my other errands. It's a pretty big post office and there's plenty of parking. While it's a big location, it's definitely a little run down and outdated- but I'd say a lot of post offices are nowadays. They had a couple people helping customers up front and it was very busy while I was there. I did notice that some of the areas seemed like they needed to be re-stocked and I ended up needing to borrow a pen from behind the counter for my package. I feel like I remember other locations having pens on chains that can be used. Overall, the team working here were working really hard and doing a great job at moving through the long line. I was able to send my package out and it was a better price than going to Fedex or UPS, so worth the wait. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at this post office. When I arrived, the staff told me that none of their printers or tape were working, so they couldn't ship my package and I'd have to use the self‑service kiosk instead. I tried, but the kiosk wasn't cooperating because of the size and shape of my package. While I was dealing with that, another customer tried to buy gift cards, and the employee told her that all of the gift cards were "duds." At that point, it felt like the entire location should have been closed since they weren't able to provide basic services to anyone. On top of that, the employee wasn't very friendly, and she even said she was going to get her manager because the other customer was "harassing" her -- even though the customer was simply trying to purchase a gift card. Overall, it seems like the staff should remove unusable gift cards from the shelves instead of letting customers find out only after trying to buy one. read more

US Post Office - Bruce Lee forever & year of the horse stamps - Post Offices Near Me - Sacramento, California

This US Post Office services surrounding residents. I've have never had so many issues with this post office in my life always missing packages delivered to the mailbox. Going on 3 almost 4 years in the neighborhood and my husband gets his medication stolen many, many times. He was recently told that if it is not picked up in the mailbox it is returned. It was never return to sender and basically lost. He is a veteran who luckily gets his medication covered, but what if it wasn't you can imagine the cost of lost medication. And he depends on it for his health. He now has to drive to pharmacy directly to pickup his meds but sometimes he cannot and does not feel well and depends on USPS. I also have had missing packages it's a headache to deal with vendors and how they have to investigate lost packages and still not get your package. I have had neighbors also complaining about the same issue. It is frustrating. It is surprising nothing has been done to resolve it. If there was an investigation why does it keep happening with this particular post office. Exhausting.... read more

This is the worst USPS office I have ever been forced to have mail come from. Yesterday two packages were to be delivered. Both were not requiring a signature or anything special. The mailman who is either new to the route or covering from the person who I always see, walks his raggedy tail onto my property comes to the front door drops the packages and rings the bell. I wasn't home caught this later on video. He then waits as he's running his damn mouth on the phone with whoever and decided to take the package I actually needed yesterday back with him, but left the other. WTF! What is the requirement to have a mail carrier position. Is common sense or basic thinking not required. Then the status he left was "not able to access the property" while his tail is on the damn property on camera. I cannot make this up. And of course they don't answer the phone. read more

Always long lines. Seemingly always only one or maybe two employees helping customers. Expect to wait 20-45 min every time. I'd rather drive 15 more mins to go to the Industrial Blvd location and wait a lot less. read more

It's two weeks before Christmas and they have only one person working the counter. I tried to use the self service but the scanner wouldn't recognize the size of my package and it was taking too long to figure it out. This was after I already waited behind a woman who was trying to figure it out for 10 minutes. I mailed two very small packages for $7.50 each which seems like a crime. When did that get so expensive? The contents of what I sent weren't worth that but nonetheless, I had to send them. I recommend adding a couple more people to help out the poor clerk dealing with the huge line at Christmas. read more

This isn't the first time I have tried to buy a money order only to be told I need to pay the exact amount as they don't have enough money in the till to give me change. Don't you start the day with cash in your till? Very rude employees not to mention slow. Also way too few employees to handle the number of customers walking in. They also don't open on time. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. read more

Terrible customer service, extremely lazy clerks, always long lines. There was an old black lady with a big afro that was so lazy and rude. She refused to scan my packages I had pre labeled because I had 14 of them. I've never had issues doing this in the past with even more packages, but this lady just flat out rolled here eyes, huffed adn puffed and said I'll scan half of them... that's too many for me. dont you see that line? etc.. like yeah, you dumb bish, i just sat in it for 15 mins and that isnt my problem, its yours. had to call a manager out and they were almost jjust as useless, but they did scan my packages finally with the most indignant attitudes like I was giving them too much work.. it takes about 1 second to scan fyi. I do not recommend this place at all. definitely filing a complaint on this woman and this office. read more

Had taxes overnighted from Nevada to Sacramento somehow my package ended up in Los Angeles for four days I submitted a case no one ever told me what happened package. Now the package is going to be delivered while Im out of town so I asked to have a mail hold and then continue delivery on Monday. I checked the ring camera. My mail was delivered Except for the one package I was waiting for so I asked to reschedule delivery and was told they can't. Now I have to go pick it up. what's is going on with our Postal Service? It is absolutely terrible so now instead of having my package re-delivered. I have to take time to go to the land Park location. Stand in line for 30 minutes to get a package that should've been delivered to me on the 15th. My taxes are now late. It's the 20th and I still don't have it and the worst part is they don't seem to care. read more

The phone is NEVER answered at this location, no matter how many times you call or what time of day during business hours you call. I have a feeling that they turn the ringer off to avoid having to speak to customers, which forces customers to have to drive to the facility and wait in a long line to ask for help with mail not being delivered to my house, or it possibly being delivered to the wrong address, which happens WAY too often. read more

Dropped off prepaid package to the miserable colorful hair staff . She's slow very slow and that isn't the reason for this post. I get done what I need to get done here. Line is usually long, so plan your time accordingly. I usually like to have my letters and packages pre stamped and addressed, so I can just chuck them into the chute without having to deal with the people at the front. I get that they have to deal with a lot of people and mail and stupid questions every day, but the customer service is severely lacking. The African American gentleman is just plain rude and acts like simple questions are a huge bother- get the stick out of your butt bro. Anyway. It's a post office, take it however. read more

I have no idea who they have hired. This has been going on for MONTHS. My mailman mixes up my packages all the time. It's been messed up so much that we even requested our packages to be delivered to our door step. That fixed the issue for only about 3 weeks. It said my packaged was delivered in a locker. My locker was empty. It had no key for the bigger one. Not to mention one of the keys has been missing for months. I want my package ASAP. I don't care how you guys do it but you guys have cost me so much money!!!!! Missing and lost packages!!! Missing checks!!!! You guys better get someone in charge to resolve this issue. AND DRUG TEST EVERYONE THERE. Obviously they must be high off their asses with how much they keep screwing things up. Worst company ever. UPDATE**** Still no contact. I go to call the office it takes me to a calling center. They give me the number for his exact place for me to contact the supervisor. How can this place still have an INACTIVE PHONE NUMBER ON THEIR WEBSITE AND WITH THEIR EMPLOYEES. Their number is INACTIVE the number (916) 262 - 3107 IS INACTIVE!!! This post office is the most unorganized, messiest, and the workers are literally so unhelpful and rude. I used to live in San Jose and the post office was so helpful and nice and got back to me the day OF, this post office doesn't even answer their phones. The workers are the rudest people I've come across ever. Like ever in my life. I think they should all quit and find something that makes them happy in their lives cause obviously the post office isn't doing it for them. I paid for priority shipping and my item is at the post office but the workers refused to help me because they were so "busy" what is the point of paying for priority shipping ? This place is so so so so horrible. Legit terrible. If a manager happens to read this: all your workers are trash garbage. Waste. And multiple of them have helped me, I ship a lot. Not one helpful knowledgeable person. I legit cannot express how much of a garbage dump this place is. read more

I'm slow as a slug, lazy and rude. I laugh at the customers disgruntled and stewed. And the service counter, don't care there's a line. You have to go bathroom? That suits me just fine. I'll stuff your mailbox until it's confetti. Quit complaining, you're being petty. I would not say this unless it is true. I'm being generous. One star for you. read more

The post office in South Land Park has great customer service. Even on a very busy day recently, the staff was friendly and smiling and got through a long line of people sending packages quickly. On a separate trip after the holidays, I needed to mail an envelope with various cards to the same address. I used my own postage, but was afraid it might not be enough. One of the staff members in the hallway was able to tell me that I had more than enough postage. Great customer service! read more

Junk. Mail arrives late. Not on time. No one answers the phone. Line out the door. Junk.

The only reason I'm doing 2 stars instead of 1 is that I understand things are tough during covid. The line was out the door with at least 20 people. I used self service because I didnt need to go to the counter but the door for the parcel drop off was jammed shut because the other side was full. I decided to leave my package on the counter in the main building as I have done before and there were so many packages piled up I could barely fit mine. There was literally no one at the counter. I believe 1 person may have been working in the entire building. I understand that these are hard times and I've chosen to continue to support the usps, but this was ridiculous. read more

I have not been to a post office for a long time. I always feel so stress to go into one, so complicate, confuse and long line most of the time. Plus, the staff would always seems a little irritable. However, this time, I came into this office 2 days in a row to mail some important documentations, and Liz first day and Daniel 2nd day were so nice and very patience!! Today I went into get a refund for a Priority Mail Express package that did not arrive within the Guaranteed time frame. It was 4 days late. After a wait in line and then a wait for the processing, they told me that it was not refundable. The clerk did not know why and she checked with another employee,Peter. She was told that since I used the self service kiosk in the post office when I mailed it, it was not refundable. This result is terrible and dishonest. Previously, 3 postal employees told me to be sure to come back for a refund and even gave me the form to fill out. It seems like they make up answers as needed. I just left the post office and had a bad experience. I was dropping off a couple of packages for my mother. She is sending perfume that she sold online. I bought prepaid labels for GROUND shipping given the restrictions for flammable liquids which cannot be shipped by air. I also put a limited quantities sticker on the box which is required when shipping these sorts of items. When I got to the window the young white guy working there said "Do you have the paperwork for these?" When he saw the stickers. I said I didn't, I was sure I did not need to fill out any. He responded "Oh no, you have to fill out paperwork for these. You can find the forms on USPS.com." Then I told him I dropped off the same type of package the day before and nobody asked for any paperwork. He replied " Oh they must have made a mistake." I didn't want to be pushy so I left. My mother who was waiting in the car decided to go in herself. A different postal worker helped her and accepted the packages. In the USPS website, on the page about class 3 flammable liquids (perfumes are included in this category), publication 52, 343.3b: "For surface transportation, parcels containing mailable Class 3 materials must be plainly and durably marked on the address side with an approved DOT Limited Quantity marking (see Exhibit 325.4). Surface shipments bearing Limited Quantity ground markings are not required to include the proper shipping name and identification number. A shipper's declaration for dangerous goods is not required for mailable Class 3 materials sent via surface transportation." My guess is that the first worker did not even look at the prepaid labels which clearly say Parcel Select Ground and did not even bother asking so he assumed, wrongly, that I wanted to send them by air mail or that it was a different type of item. Even worse, he accused his coworkers of making mistakes when he was the one making a mistake. Or maybe he is new and has not received proper training. Either way, it was a bad experience. USPS needs to provide better training and hire people who are more careful when dealing with customers. read more
