Adj: bustlingly brisk and busy, but effectively efficient This UPS store is a very busy one in the Lakecrest shopping plaza at the corner of Florin Rd and Greenhaven Dr near I-5. From before the store opens, there could already be people ready to promptly pounce upon the store to ensure they get in the head of the line that quickly grows. It's that bustling pretty much every day of the week no matter the time of the day. This used to be the only place to return Amazon items and it was really busy then, but now there are other stores to drop off Amazon returns so this UPS store is more for dropping off packages to ship, copy and printing services, and fingerprinting and other official services such as getting documents notarized. On our most recent trip here, hubby and I got our fingerprinting done here to volunteer for a non profit organization, and we came out here early one weekday morning to try to beat the crowd and we kind of did, but while we were getting our prints done, the line grew long and the only gal staffing the store couldn't get to others so we let her help a couple of people who just had to print a document or ship an item so that the line would shorten before she continued to help us. In case anyone also need to get this process done, just a heads-up that the finger printing machine could be a bit glitchy or picky, so there were a few redos of certain of our digits, but overall, the young lady who helped us was very efficient and also surprisingly calm even as the line grew and grew and grew of people who came after us. When we asked, she let us know that she's the only one on duty for the first hour or so and then another coworker would come in, I think they really need two people to open the store as surely there's always a crowd building up right away at the start of their business day. So one star taken off for that because they really need at least 2 persons at all times or at least at peak times like in the mornings, to meet the demands of the many customers. For the most part, I still think this is a good store, service is friendly and helpful. They are patient with less technical customers who come in to print documents because they don't own computers or printers or just need help in general. As for value, I'd say all of their stationery and shipping merchandise are all pretty expensive bc the items are marked up since buying them here would be a convenience, vs having to buy a shipping envelope or Scotch tape or scissors or pens and markers, etc somewhere else to get one's packages ready BEFORE coming to send off your shipment. Overall, this is a good neighborhood UPS store and hopefully their goods and services provided will continue to be high quality and attentively efficient. read more

So this is one very busy UPS store in the Lakecrest Village Shopping Center off of i5 and Florin in the Greenhaven area. It's convenient for me to stop at this store to drop off shipping packages as it's not too far from me, but it's always busy from my experience, so I try to go first thing in the morning when it opens. They also take Amazon returns here, so the line can really build up. But this time as I was dropping off, I noticed that there's a new (to me) kiosk machine thing that will scan your pre-paid label and provide a digital or printed receipt, nice. Then you can just leave your package on the counter and go on your way without having to line up in the quite long line, as this was before 9am and there was already half a dozen people in line. The store also sells lots of shipping stuff like boxes, mailing envelopes, stationery (pens, markers, tape etc.) to label and seal your mailing packages or envelopes, but all marked up in prices since they expect people to come prepared with their packages all ready to go. So if your shipping items are not ready, and you need to get some tape, yup, it's gonna cost ya. I always make sure my packages are ready to go for this reason, thank you to my wife. All in all, a decent place, but they really need 2 people to open or at least 1 more person coming in within the first half hour when the store opens at 8:30 in the morning. The line can be really slow, the staff was fingerprinting someone so the line was halted until she's done with that customer or the other staff arrives. This is not sustainable in my book. read more

Customer service here has always been good, but I just went to send some documents and an employee named "James" was unnecessarily rude and unfriendly, leaving much to be desired in terms of customer service. I've used them a few times and they've been good. A few weeks ago I thought they had not properly verified an Amazon return. They let me go back befind the counter and find the item ... and we're so patient while I figured out that their original receipt did show all the items. I'm here at least every other week, sometimes more- usually to return packages. One of my family nicknames is the Queen of Returns. As online shopping has become the norm, there are things that don't work out and it's back to the big Amazon warehouse. The parking can be a little tight at times but I will wait around or just go to the Nugget side and walk over. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. I've never had any issues with my returns. The store is neat and tidy. I usually go for to the UPS self check kiosk for returns. They have a nice essential collection of office supplies and packing materials, a bank of PO Boxes, and a notary service which I used once. It went smoothly and was very professional. Great choice for your package and mail needs. A solid, reliable, and well-managed UPS store that is definitely my favorite. read more

The store seems to never have internet so they are unable to provide critical services. They also never answer the phone to see if their internet is back online. Employees are also aggravated for no reason. read more

A self-service Amazon return station is now available at this UPS store. How awesome is that!! You don't have to wait in line to talk to anyone at the counter. Simply walk up to the Amazon return kiosk located to directly to the left of the main entrance and tap the screen. Then follow the user friendly steps: scan your return bar or QR code on your personal device and voilà a printed peel and stick label will come out of the printer on the shelf below the kiosk. Return shipping bags are available next to the kiosk and the drop box is on the left side of the counter. read more

Do NOT come here for passport photo. They use a disposable camera, and was barely standing in front of me trying to take a quick shot while running back to the counter. Photo turned out with my eyes not centered on the camera and off center. I kindly told them this would not be accepted by passport services. When they tried to argue back is when I just walked out. Clearly the employees are not trained on taking these photos per government requirements. Do yourself a favor and go to Staples instead. Completely unreliable for shipping, ensuring that they follow instructions, or even packing items appropriately. They don't call you back when they say they will. They DESTROYED our shipped item and tried to hide it. UNBELIEVABLY BAD SERVICE. They took in an item of ours, and were paid to double box and ship it. They then LOST it for two weeks, and would not return our calls. The item then showed up on OUR DOORSTEP, unboxed and unprotected, and never made it to the recipient. When we called to address the issue, they show no remorse and didn't even apologize. They didn't believe our description of how it just showed up, saying 'that could not happen. I've never heard of anything like that'. To top it off, we found that they smashed part of it, and tried to cover it with tape, then repack it as if nothing was wrong. Who WOULD have heard of such horrible service???? They are lying, unreliable, and unapologetic in their incompetence and deception. read more

Don't usually leave reviews. But was a very busy Monday AM and had a big box Amazon drop off so didn't use self serve area. Line was out the door including saw some person do a certified signature. Benny was extremely fast and was also nice in the process. She was only worker. I use this ups often and this was 1st time I really felt the line flew fast. The inconsistency and attitude of employees at this store is so frustrating. I can understand that Amazon returns are an annoyance but when one employee lets you do a return in a manufactures packaging and then the next week you come in and try to do the same thing and are told in a condescending manner that isn't allowed it is poor customer service. read more

The store is clean and the workers are friendly. The prices are insane. If UPS wasn't accepting Amazon returns, nobody would use their company. I wanted to overnight a small Manila envelope with 1 paper inside. The cheapest overnight option was $68 and change. I paused when I was told the price. I left and went to the post office. Today I needed to notarize an important letter so I checked the store hours before heading there. I checked and the website said they close at 6:30. It was 5:55 so I decided to drive there. I arrived at the shopping center at 6:03 but parking was kind of difficult, so it took me few minutes to park and go to the store. I was in the store at 6:10. The guy in front of the register welcomed me and asked me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to notarize a letter, so he turned to the lady behind him and asked if they were still notarizing and the lady turned and said No. The guy said sorry we stopped doing it a 6:15 so I looked at the clock and see that is 6:11 and he corrected and said well at 6:10 - 6:15. I thought it was really rude if you are not going to do anything after certain hour its better to change your store hours so ppl don't waste time going to there. read more

Came in today to pick up a redirected package. The person at the counter who was extremely rude, insisted the package wasn't there because he couldn't find it in his computer. He refused to go back and check for the package, so I had to ask for the manager. She went to look and promptly found it. No apologies, but more attitude. I'll be taking my business to FedEx Office. Their customer service/employees have improved from past year. The lady I dealt with this morning was very nice and pleasant, though they have employees that could improve their overall CS skills because I occasionally get the grumpy employee. I have come to this place to print things--much cheaper for me than buying a printer for my home. They were good with the COVID lockdowns--they've laced their mask requirements because I forgot my mask this morning and the lady gestured it was ok. It's also right next to 9Round in the same shopping area so whenever I have a return it is convenient. I looked up 1026 Florin Rd, $312, Sacramento. It's a UPS store in a shopping mall. I called CPS no. 916-244-3826 (a Sacramento area code), but the message said their hours are 9-5 EST. From another thread, I believe their HQ is on the East Coast. UPS: Can you cancel CPS's account with you, and report them to the BBB and also to the Calfornia Secretary of State? They are using your good name and location to trick and steal more than $100 from unsuspecting LLC owners. read more

I rarely interact with the employees here and when I do it's rare that it's a good experience. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this time I felt pushed out. I came in to return a package to drop off in the box. That is the usual routine when I go into UPS. Today I had questions regarding their business services because I run a small business. Though the signs show support for small business owners the head clerk or whatever she is acted like I was an inconvenience. I wanted a quote on brochures and for a personal mailbox. And the associate that helped me was nice enough, she had clear framed glasses and dark hair. Friendly enough, but I could tell that my questions were not as important as the customers who were waiting in line to return packages. The head clerk who was tall, skinny with red hair was not friendly towards me and interjected while the other clerk answered my questions as brief as she could. She told me that if I needed more information that I could look at their info pamphlets. But that's why I was in line to get prices and quotes because nowhere online or in store in their info pamphlets does it list prices. I had to take a photo of their mail box prices. The pricing is ridiculous, you're better off at the post office. I decided to go to a locally owned office business instead. I'll avoid talking to these associates if I have to. I'll post the mailbox office prices in case anyone needs prices for small business printing and is brushed off for asking anything outside of returning packages. read more

I am glad this is in our area. Online shopping returns are super convenient here. The staff is super patient and helpful, even if you bring in a boatload of stuff for them to process. The only knock I have against this location is parking is absolutely atrocious. It was easier to park when it was at the promenade. A tip though -- if you cant find parking in front, just drive around to the back lot behind the store. There is usually parking there. read more

Daisy at 1029 Florin UPS Store is very rude. She should not be in customer service. I had my Macy's package delivered to the store for pick up. Daisy claimed my packaged was not there and I have to "file a complaint." When I showed her the PROOF that it was delivered to the store and signed by her she says "that doesn't mean anything" and how the delivery driver "has anyone signs it doesn't mean they dropped it off" how's does that make any sense? It doesn't. She rudely told me she will go check if it was in the back if not there nothing she can do. She walked to the back of the store and behold my package and she changed her tone of voice. I only go into this store Saturdays to pick up mail and packages. Moved to area months ago, have long work commute (yes I'd love it if they were open beyond 6:30 weekdays but) so Sat is it. There is always the same young man working, he is super awesome, professional, efficient and friendly. I wanted to write this and counter some of negative reviews here. I wish Yelp would allow sorting reviews by most recent as I think it's often best indicator of current service. I'm assuming some neg reviews relate to weekdays and can't add anything, I've never worked w anyone but one employee on Sat. He goes above and beyond, is always respectfully walking patrons thru various procedures (I have no idea what but forms and whatnot, I think they provide varied services out of my purview). Sometimes there's line because he's sole employee; in that case I chill out, or I go to the Nugget for a smoothie and come back. I feel better having packages delivered here (even if it means waiting a few days until I can pick up). They accept large boxes (& might let you borrow dolly to get it to car or I take mine), will keep your stuff for weeks or more if you can't pick up. I guess take your own packing tape in case needed (for those upset about such charges), I've run into same thing at FedEx and know it's a pain but... Any returns I take in already packed up with labels so not an issue for me. They do not accept returns via Fed Ex here but there's another mailbox place farther up Florin that does. Oh they make return of AT&T (and some other?) equipment super easy, no packing up, you may not need much info (as tracking info is on equipment), just save your receipt. read more

First off the store is located in a location that gets really bad cellphone location (not their fault but they could go a step further by providing guest wifi which they don't.) if you're doing an Amazon return make sure you take a screen shot of it ahead of time so you have everything ready. Not complaining about this. Just a suggestion I am complaining about the lack of customer service. They are very short and very rude. Almost always when I pre pay and pre package something they find something wrong with it and want me to buy a new label or a new box or a new poly mailer. They just want you to pay them for something. This is no way of doing business. I also want to point out that I ship things out all the time through ups, usps, and FedEx. The nearest UPS Store. I only use UPS when I am returning my textbooks or whatever items I sending/returning that comes with a free prepaid UPS label :) The store is small, but super clean and organized. I haven't had the time to really look through the store, but I noticed there's mailboxes, copy machine, greetings cards, and mailing supplies.
