This is the worst post office I have been to. I have lost many packages and my customers request to have my package scan and get a receipt. When I came I in today it office was almost empty and I went to the window and the clerk wouldn't scan my packages. She said I have to drop off because I have more than two packages. I told her the other post office always scan without any problem why are you having a problem when the place is empty, there is no line nobody is waiting. She called her manager the unprofessional manager name Vincent told me to go else where and was so rude. I see a lot if 1 star review here and I know why. I'm not surprised for usps to not train their staffs for some reason but be prepared to face unprofessional staffs and make sure shipping is good because they aren't great with solving issues about shipping. When I asked a question about my shipping fees, the worker insisted I pay for the full amount when they had asked before if I had already paid, which I did. I tried explaining to them I already paid for the full amount but the worker still insisted I pay for the full amount again because their system said otherwise. I kept saying I paid for the full amount until they said the shipping was for UPS, not USPS. While I was talking their supervisor, the worker put up an attitude, saying along the lines, "she's trying to take my job.." while I spoke with the supervisor in attempt to resolve my issue. Not only do the workers demonstrate lack of skill while facing hands-on issues, but also handle situations by mocking customers behind their back. Had an issue with missing packages and mail. I'm not even even talking about one or two here and there. I mean I completely stopped receiving my mail except for two times when I reordered stuff and they actually came. Weird right? Also weird was that it's only the packages/letters with my name on it that gets lost. Nobody else in my house has an issue with missing mail. I've contacted USPS so many times about. Finally I decided to call this location. Had to call back cos the supervisor or w/e was on break. Half an hour later or so, I called back and basically, he told me he would speak to the mail carriers about it and let me know. Never heard from again, but I did solve the problem. Solution? This post office has been my go-to place for all of my shipping needs. The USPS is inexpensive, reliable and easy. I have seen many of the same faces behind the counter throughout this time and I appreciate how helpful and kind the staff is (especially Audrey) I frequently have questions involving cost and expected delivery times and other services and I can always count on the staff to direct me to the most efficient and cost effective method of delivery. If you walk in and the line looks long--don't worry--it moves quickly. Walk in expecting that the staff is friendly and helpful and that is the type of service you will get. Rosemead USPS is the worst mail service ever!! The postal workers are the worst! I receive other people's mail on a weekly basis. I'm sure other people receive my mail as well. The big difference is I always bring it to the correct address whereas other people do not!! What pisses me off the most is that my packages are consistently being delivered somewhere else! The dreaded post office. No one wants to come to usps because of their history of sub par standards. Well. this is no private shipping company but it definitely has improved over the past few years to raise their profits statement. The speed of the lines has increased, but the attitude still remains strict, and unfriendly. Horrible service. Only one staff is working. Told him exactly what I need to do but was giving wrong documents to fill up. Freaking line up 3 times just to mail something simple. I visited the Alhambra main office the most because they provide much better service and at least situation like this, I do not need to go back to the line. This place must hire incompetent workers because there have been a high rate of mail thief in the rosemead area. However the postman keeps leaving the packages out in plain sight for people to drive by and take them. The workers don't even try to hide it or make an attempt to put it into the mail box. I purchased a men's wallet and the box was small enough to fit into my mailbox but that dumb ass left it on top of the mailbox. So some lady came by and took my package. I filed a dispute with the post office and had photos of how the postman left my package. They said once the package is delivered, it's no longer their problem. Screw the USPS! read more

I used to come to his USPS a lot before I moved. They are quick about serving their community in a friendly manner. Granted the lines can get long during rush hour but they do their best to help everyone which can't always be easy. I had no issues when I came here. It was one of my fastest Post Office visits. Location is hidden behind a new plaza that was built a few years ago. You have to either turn on through Muscatel or in the plaza driveway off of Valley and circle around the new building. Parking is shared with the entire plaza. Walked in, waited a minute and got called up. They were quick with my postage purchase. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. read more

She calls our numbers and does my brothers first and decides call a previous number before mine because they left and came back. I stayed for 4 hours and she does my brothers and skips mine and calls a previous number. Unacceptable. We came at the same time and it was our turn. Why couldn't she do my brothers and then mine. I came in to do my passport around 10:40 the other day and did not know that there was a list that you had to be on in order to be seen. Even though I wasn't on the list and was told to come back, Audrey decided to take me in last minute ! I only had time to get it done that day and I am so thankful she took me in. No customer service at this station whatsoever. I live a block away from this post office and make it a point to drive 2 miles to the next one just so I won't have to stand or deal with the pissy staff here. The only reason I stopped in today was to pick up a package I wasn't home to receive. I asked one of the younger post masters to check again to see if there was anything else for me to pick up for our mutual convenience. He then left me without word for 15 minutes only to return to scold me, saying "there's nothing else for you, I already told you. Anything else?" Umm, swerve--all he told me was that they received a high volume of packages today. I naturally assumed he went back to see if there were any new deliveries already sorted. If there wasn't any other packages, you could have said that explicitly before running off. Also, drop the ego and the annoyance in your voice. I'm sure you've got important things to do, I do to. Giving such an attitude for such a minor inconvenience just makes you seem all the more like a child in a tie. Learn how to effectively communicate to your customers and THEN be an ass because somebody calls you a manager. And don't even consider getting your passport done here--between the impatient, condescending clerks and their annoyance at answering your questions about the whole paperwork process, you're better off getting your passport done at the city hall across the street. They're much more efficient and give far less of an attitude when it comes to getting stuff done. I've seen people who have English as a second language get chewed out by the staff for just trying to pose a question! What's up with that? I didn't know perfect English was a prerequisite for the application process. If y'all are too good for this job, for answering questions in broken English, get another! Clearly, working with people isn't this station's forte. All in all, the main problem I have with this station is that the staff is wildly patronizing and minimally effective. Ever single encounter I've had here, a different clerk exacerbates any small inconvenience I might pose as a patron, whether it's scanning my packages in or whether it's picking up mail, as if it's the most ludicrous thing they shouldn't have to deal with. I've never received a smile, I've never been comfortable asking them for help. I couldn't imagine what it must be like to work in such patronizing environment! That's why I'm writing this extensive review today, I'm really hoping the head post master sees this message and communicates to the staff that customer service is critical to any facet of doing business, whether it's a clerical government job or not! Horrible customer service. There is always a line, which I don't mind. However I mail items here weekly, and the last time, a lady named EMMY has helped me. She has treated me horribly every time. The first time, I thought maybe she was having a bad day so I left it slide. However , now I have worked with her 3 times. She could not be less helpful. She acts as though I'm bothering her by having to mail something or question a bout the passport. She talks down to me every time and makes me feel like I'm walking on eggshells. Simple things that other employees do every time, she makes the customer do and looks at you as though you are stupid, even to simple inquiries like" I need to ship that item" or " why you have to keep my citizenship. EMMY, I do not know why you keep yelling people that not speak good English especially old Asian people, don't forget one thing you are Asian too. I've always had decent service here, at this USPS location. However, I was just shocked and appalled with my most recent encounter. This incident didn't occur to me, but to an older non-English speaking gentleman (Chinese) who was filing passport papers. The staff (an older asian/japanese woman) asked the man if he would like the passport to be expedited or at standard time. The gentleman did not understand English very well and did not know how to respond. She kept raising her voice, and belittling this gentleman. STANDARD OR EXPEDITED!? STANDARD OR EXPEDITED!? STANDARD OR EXPEDITED!? I finally stepped in and explained to the gentleman what she meant. I do understand it may be difficult working with someone that doesn't speak English, but the way she acted was simply RUDE and unnecessary. Emmy was really rude. I dont like her tone of voice. My mom and i came in to fill out paper works to get our passport renewed. As i was filling out the papers, my mom had some questions that needed to be answered. Emmy clearly speaks chinese. She was speaking chinese to the gentlemen who was ahead of us. So when my mom was asking her questions she responds to her in english with a nasty tone like shes too good to speak chinese to her. Urm ok. She kept slacking off on her job. Kept wandering around doing nothing when she clearly sees you standing there in line. I also overheard her talking to this other customer really rudely and raising her voice. So clearly her and her husband need to be present in order to sign off their sons application, the lady told her nicely that her husband is on his way, and that he will arrive in about 5 more minutes. Emmy shouts and says, dont tell me 5 mins or 2 mins i need him here now. And she shoots her away. Emmy really gets on my nerves. What makes her think she better than anyone else. I wish i knew other places that renews passports because i would hate to come back and face her. The african american was super nice and helpful. She saw us holding the blue form in hand and told us that we just need to mail it off ourself. Saved us alot of time waiting in line. Thank you. We need more workers like her. read more

I've come to this post office 5 times in the last week to apply for a passport. Emmy, the woman who does passport acceptances, is a rude lady who talks down on almost every customer who receives her help. Everybody else in the post office is really friendly and patient with customers. However, many people who walk in do not speak English very well. And when asking Emmy simple questions, she will talk to you like you know nothing at all. First time, I came to apply for passport for myself and the process went smoothly. However, my dad had a question and when you ask her a question, she will say "You did not listen to me" or "You're not listening to me" Second time, I came with my boyfriend, I arrived at 2, signed in and waited over an hour to be denied passport acceptance for my boyfriend because he did not have his birth certificate. It was past 3, but there were maybe 6 people after us. I asked Emmy if she could let us come back with the birth certificate in less than 10 minutes while she helped others, and she refused and just called the next person. She wouldn't have been done with the line even when I came back. I was so frustrated. My boyfriend works weekdays after the closing time for passport acceptances and he missed work to do this just to have us be denied. Today, I am here again, and there is no line for passport acceptances, and I asked Emmy if she could check if I had all my documents so that there would be no need to drive back home and collect whatever I was missing. She denied again, saying she will not help me if the passport was not for me. She talks to people in a tone like she is superior to you. read more

This place gets pretty packed from 3pm-5pm. Parking is very difficult to find in such a bad plaza area. I feel like I'm at a mall waiting for people to come out from the post office, so that I can grab a parking spot. Here's a breakdown of what to expect from the staff. African-American lady = Very nice, she's the bomb. Asian Ladies = Lee, her sister, and this other Asian lady are very nice. Old Asian Man = Gives you attitude sometime if you're Asian. Latino lady = Nice and respectful Indian Lady = She can be mean at times, but overall just average. Manager guy = Courtesy and helps you with your package pick ups. The staff always try to sell you stamps or tracking numbers, but you don't need to buy them. They might be a bit slow, but they talk to you (the nice ones at least). This post office is situated near a middle school, so expect rowdy teenagers after school trying to be cool and all that. read more

Jenny, an asian lady who works here with red hair was extremely rude and belittled me and all I wanted was to buy postage and pick up a package! She started criticizing me for every little thing like how I didn't put enough stamps on one envelope or asking why I would use a non-standard size! Yes I know that these things require extra postage, I made the choice regardless and that's why I went to the post office to get everything weighed. So much unnecessarily rude and fussy commentary. Usually I would've gone to the post office nearest my house to get this done, but the main reason I was here was to pick up a package which brings me to another point. They never redeliver or even deliver packages! Over the last few months, whenever I order a parcel I get a red slip saying I missed the delivery. I know for a fact that I was home for most of these incidents. Then if you schedule for a redelivery, they just bring you another red slip. I know for a fact that they didn't even try because after waiting for several days for my package to be redelivered (I waited almost a week and it says on the slip it takes 2 days), I finally just went to pick it up and when I returned home with my package- I found another slip saying they'd missed me! read more

This post office just doesn't give a damn about service. Just read the reviews here. Manager Luis and supervisor Jonathan do listen when you complaint but will do nothing to improve service or resolve complaints. They would just brush you off by saying "there is nothing I can do" (if there is nothing you can do I wouldn't bother to bring up the issues in the first place). They are just there for the pay checks and you can tell from their attitudes. Rosemead is a community of minorities. Most don't bother to complaint or have language barriers doing so, most simply give up. So the manager thinks he could get away by ignoring issues that are important to customers. After all, hasn't that been the attitude of the United States' Postal Office? As much as upper management is doing everything to improve services and image, this office is still left in stone-age era. Too many dinosaurs, new and old, are working here. When you have a bad manager, that attitude is reverberating down to the rest of the employees. It's not necessary the employee's' fault. read more
