Smaller neighborhood branch hidden off the Main Street with a small parking lot. The one clerk had a line of maybe 5 people and was a little brusque but once he started working on my order he was pretty efficient. Horrible customer service. The postal workers at the service counter at around 1:45pm today on 9/5 were extremely rude and immature. One of the workers only giggled and scoffed at me when I asked the Asian lady some questions. Come on, USPS is using different service options than UPS and FedEx. Some of the questions or inquiries may sound silly. But still, respecting the customer should be your top priority. And guess what, the Asian lady assumed I known nothing about shipping and purposely gave me a priority mailing label in order to trick me and overcharge me. Anyway, I walked away and will never come back to this facility anymore. I am also filing a complaint via USPS website. Wish I can give them a negative review on Yelp or Google! read more

Didn't really want to review a USPS store but the male employee who worked here on 10/26/2021 at around 1:00 pm was extremely rude and unprofessional. My package that I was shipping out was off by a few ounces (which would not have changed the price of the shipping cost) and he told me he could not take it because it had to be exactly the ounce shown on the label. Never use the mailboxes out front of this post office ... a stranger literally came my house with a stack of mail he claimed he found outside of an arco station ... and a year ago a check I had sent thru the same mailbox ended up being washed and used for check fraud . Ultimately this has more to do with the area than the post office itself . read more

This has been by far my worst experience ever at a usps. I had a prepaid package i needed to get scanned in and the clerk Maria refused to scan it. She said " you live in el monte, you can go to el monte". I was in disbelief but she was serious. She continued on and said go talk to my postmaster if you want and helped the customer behind me. Never have I ever had this experience with someone in my 15 years using usps as my primary shipping servicer. I'm still in shock to be honest. read more

Still bad.... went there on Saturday . Per website the lobby opens at 8:45. Mail clerk rolls up about 9:00am and then doesn't open the lobby until I walk to the parking area to ask him if he is going to open. What is wrong with this guy? Lobby is supposed to be open until 5:15 based on the USPS website. Arrived at 5:00 pm and the door is locked. Called USPS Rosemead and spoke with Troy. The best he could do is to call a mail carrier to see if they could come unlock the door. Troy says no guarantees, so I'm supposed to wait indefinitely and hope someone will show up. I passed by that post office and I had 7 small packages to mail. I asked for a scan. The hispanic woman with long hair refused because she said she could scan 5 packages. I asked her if she could scan 2 more because there is no line. She said no because this is just the way it is. I told her how come it is different than other post offices. She said she doesn't know. They should have a better attitude and treat customers with 'service'. Simply scanning 2 extra packages doesn't affect their time because there wasn't any customers. Apparently this branch no longer opens the lobby for me to pick up my mail from my P.O. box on Saturday. I received no notice. I was just greeted by locked lobby doors this past Saturday. Tried calling to verify and, of course, as others have stated they don't answer the phone. Going to go to a private provider, I've given up on any service that lacks oversight. They just don't care! MOST TERRIBLE USPS office experience EVER. The clerk named Art gave me terrible attitude when I asked him a simple question. When he rung me up for envelopes, he DELIBERATELY indicates the wrong price comparing to what I have to pay for. Let's just say that this USPS is going to stay on my BURN LIST for years to come... A package was supposed to be delivered to my mom's company (a place that is open from 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday) last last Tuesday and guess what? It was never delivered! So then I called USPS to tell them about this and all they did was open an "investigation" with this local USPS. The next day, I guess their "manager" called me and was very very very VAGUE on the status of the investigation. He said he would look into my case of the missing package and call me back asap. I guess he doesn't know the definition of "ASAP" because he called me back FIVE days after the initial call. Keep in mind, I had to call the national USPS people again, file another missing package report AND call this Rosemead office TWICE. The first time I left a message, another employee told me that leaving a message wouldn't work, and I was better off calling HIM back. WTH, HE was supposed to call ME, it's his JOB. When he called me back today (after I had hassled someone at this branch at 9am in the freakin' morning), and let me know that it was a "substitute" carrier who "delivered" my package and that she doesn't remember the package, I was LIVID. OF COURSE SHE WOULDN'T REMEMBER MY PACKAGE, YOU ASKED HER TWO WEEKS AFTER IT WAS "SUPPOSEDLY" DELIVERED! He also spoke to me in a very condescending and patronizing tone about how it wasn't their fault...well MISTER, IT SAID ONLINE IT WAS DELIVERED AND IT WASN'T. I'm still fuming from the lack of competence and etiquette from this supposed "manager." OVERALL, this branch is probably the sketchiest USPS I've come across...not to mention, it took an ARM and a LEG to freakin' get a response about my missing package. Plus, whenever I do stop by this branch, the service is always slow and lacking. You're better off getting your packages sent through UPS or FedEx, at least they're upfront and will let you know if they're wrong. And TRUST ME, if I could, I would give this branch ZERO stars. read more

I need to raise my concerns on the Staff here. The level of professionalism and services is horrible. I have never been anywhere that treated their customers so rude, so disrespect and unpleasant. The whole team needs customer services training but especially the young Hispanic girl is the worst. I walked in and she was on her cellphone. She didn't even want to acknowledge me until I walked to her counter. When i got in front of her she still was looking at her Facebook page. Then when she saw my packages had pre-labels she refused to scan. When I asked her a question about package tracking, her answer was "I don't know" without trying to look up. Horrible bad vibes the minute you walk in. I suggest someone from corporate office to come in for a surprise visit to see the kind of services that they are providing here. This is the only post office I go to because the workers are so helpful. They always try to find the best and lowest price for me to ship my packages. Only downside is that they're not open weekends. I've also noticed that it's usually really crowded around lunch time since one of the workers is taking a lunch break. read more

Really bad service in the office and on location. This office is very small and run down. Other post offices usually sort and send out mail within a few days, however Rosemead post office takes about a week or more longer than usual delivery time. You can expect for them to lose your mail or not mail things on time. I definitely recommend going paperless for those with an option. If you are planning to go to office to deliver something, consider going to a better post office in a different city. read more

The only time that I go to a post office is when I need to mail packages out of the States. While I do not do that often, each time of doing so would cost me quite a bit of money, if not time too. I do understand the frustration of waiting in line and it is indeed quite difficult to predict the amount of customers waiting, despite what day and time. Wouldn't it be nice if you can call and ask how many people are waiting to be assisted before leaving your house? Haha, yea right.. Staffs are quite friendly. Most of the time I would see an Asian male staff and another Asian female staff assisting customers in front of their monitors. This location does not have the automated Postal Machine, which makes it painful for people who have to wait a long time to just get a few stamps or to mail small sized packages. Parking lot is usually half empty. Although it is hard to predict when this location would be packed with people waiting in line, I still recommend to go earlier during the day because there's a high tendency of people going there last minute. If the line really seems unbearable, you could either wait patiently or try the other nearby postal office located on Garvey Ave and S Ramona Ave. read more

Apparently this branch should be permanently closed and the unhappy employees transferred to a REALLY bad zip code to see how it is to have the shoe on the other foot. They don't keep up with what is going on in USPS or they wouldn't have given me bad info when I went in this morning to pick up a form. They told me (more than one at the counter heard/responded to my verbal request) the form not carried for more than a year. I asked if the main branch on Valley would have it. They said no and added that the library might have it. If they weren't so uninformed/lazy or assuming I was too old to know about online services they might have told me to go online to usps.com. I had to find out by calling the Montebello PO on 5th St that DOES answer their phone, unlike this branch or the main Rosemead branch. And yes, today is April 15th and a very busy post office day due to tax mailing deadline! I would go in to file a complaint with the manager but no doubt this lack of concern to provide decent customer service is trickling down from the top - maybe even from the main branch on Valley too?? This Newmark location has been my local post office since 1979 - granted I have not needed to go in for several years but it is NO WHERE staffed by the conscientious Government employees that used to work there. I guess the good people have all retired or transferred elsewhere. I highly recommend the main PO in Montebello instead. Today is the last time I hope to ever set foot at this location! read more

My mail packages have gone missing periodically recently. They use to be pretty good, but they may have recruited a rogue post officer recently. I ruled out mail theft from a neighbor or loiter since in the most recent incidence, someone was home when they marked the package as delivered, and we didn't receive it. Nonetheless, they need to investigate. I think this is happening to others in the area, and we should file a complain or a joint complain to the post master Frank Malone, Police department and even the Rosemead district council. I have filed a complain to the Post Master and will file one to the Chicago fraud inspection office. Anyone else having problems? What did you do? read more

AVOID this post office as much as you can. The staff use to be nice but they have changed over the years. Staff now are lazy and look like they don't want to be there all the time. BUT there is this particular older middle aged staff that is extremely rude. I didn't get his name but he is pretty short, bald and wears glasses. Horrible customer service from the asian male and women when I came in at 2:23pm. I came in waiting to get a receipt for a prepaid postage coming I already have for my package. They refuse to give me one. They kept saying that the prepaid is my receipt. They were extremely rude and refused to do it when I came in before multiple times and was given a receipt for it. There service isn't consistent there as well. Also, I was told that I can get my receipt for drop off as long I wait in line because I had an issue in temple city post office whereas I had drop off a BIG package with insurance and it was never scanned in. Luckily, it was scanned in from a DIFFERENT state. I will be looking into finding different shipping services because I keep coming across these issues as well as shipping estimate delivery time. read more

I went last Friday bought a postal money order mailed it right then to Connecticut. Typical letter first class mail. Here it is 10 days later and now the seller of the item I wanted to buy wants to move on because he hasn't gotten paid. I can't say I blame the guy, a money order purchased at 11ish am, handed over to the person at the counter and supposed to be in the postal system. Well here it is 10 days later they have not received the letter and money order inside of it... They also keep raising fees for shipping and I've discovered fedex is way cheaper. Usually, this has been my go-to post office because I live really close to it. HOWEVER, I have been dropping off packages in the slot that I prepaid on Paypal shipping and they've been sitting there for a few days now. I sent my dad to go to check on them because they have not been scanned and accepted at that post office but I put them in the slot myself. There's a sign posted that they do not accept prepaid packages on Saturdays, but I didn't mail them on Saturday. They told my dad to check the tracking for the packages because they can't check them once they're out for delivery. THESE ARE STILL AT THE F*****G POST OFFICE. Now I've been on hold for 12 minutes now with USPS to talk to someone about it at Customer Service....the USPS gets one star for that too. read more
