Frustrating to deal with. There was a change of address mistakenly submitted for me without my knowledge or consent. I have lived in the same house for decades. For the past year, I've been dealing with credit cards not working because of the change in address, dealing with my bank's fraud department, utility bills being mailed to the wrong address, not receiving mail-in ballots because my voter registration changed, and all 3 major credit bureaus reporting an inaccurate current address. When I finally figured out what was going on, I went in to this facility to hopefully get this sorted out. The first supervisor I spoke to, Jenny, had no clue what I was talking about and took down my details and promised to be in contact. Never heard back, so I went in again on a weekday and got a different supervisor. I requested to fill out a change of address form so that I can hopefully reverse all of the changes that have been made. However, this supervisor kept denying that a change of address service would have affected the address on file at any banks because they dont divulge this information .....which is in direct contradiction to the fine print on the back of the change of address form she handed me See my picture. They are just plain clueless about how their own systems work. What a major security headache it is that a change of address could be submitted in my name without my knowledge or consent! I hope this never happens to anyone else.

Someone literally took off the tape and took the inside contents.

The staff friendliness is a hit or miss but they are always helpful and efficient. I've always only seen 2-3 people behind the counter and are usually bilingual in Chinese or Spanish. They also have self help kiosks which make things go faster and there are also drop off chutes and boxes in the lobby and on the outside which are also collected by 5pm.

Clerk 25 needs more training for processes and customer service: The lady that managed our passport…read moreprocess is incredibly incompetent. She has cost us time, sanity, and money. She has no business working with people and she is astonishingly rude and unprofessional. I called the post office a day in advance through the 800 number and specifically asked if I needed an appointment when she told me passport services were offered here. I was told no. When I went in on Saturday, I was told that we do need one. Mine was only a renewal which I could do myself, but my son's was a new application. We both needed pictures and got that out of the way. The lady literally rushed me out of the office rudely as I was trying to nervously gather my paperwork that I had pulled out to show her to indicate that we had everything we needed in completion along with my things and go as quick as I could. It wasn't good enough for her. She stood at the door, repeating for me to hurry up and go, showing me that she was closing it because she wanted me to get on the other side of it stat. Are you kidding me with this behavior? How old are you? I made the appointment and my son returned on Monday. I sent him with my paperwork so he can put them in the same expedited envelope I was paying for. She then told him she couldn't help him because the appointment is for one person and he had my application also, which mind you, did not require a SINGLE thing from her. It was essentially none of her business that he even had it. Thankfully, I sent his father in with him because I had a feeling she would pull some BS. When we were there on Saturday, she told me I could not send the two checks I had prepared for payment, that I would have to rewrite and send one for both. I ripped them up and I wrote one check for both amounts including expedited fees + shipping, and sent it with my son. When he went in on Monday, she told him he cannot have one check, he needs TWO. He had to pay using his debit card and that cost him $22 in money orders. SHE cost us $22 in money orders because of her erratic and incorrect instruction. Then she charged him $455 and refunded it in one transaction because she forgot to charge the money order fee and then she charged $455 again...and then $477 which finally included the fees. There was no refund for the second charge. It has now been 11 days. I've been calling daily and cannot get a hold of anyone at the post office. When I finally did this morning, I was told I would get a call back and have not gotten one. Seems pretty on brand. A high school student has been overcharged this much money with zero concern or ability to get a call back from anyone. This is so ridiculous and frankly disgusting. If this happens to you, I suggest you move forward promptly with your bank and dispute the charge because help will not come from here. There is no point in trying to resolve it with this particular business.

Buying postage stamps in person…read more.. Did you ever leave a business and think: "I should have bought _____." That's what happened after I left Sierra Madre's Post Office. As I was driving to my next destination, I thought that I should have purchased more stamps. Just then, I saw this post office in Arcadia and made a quick left into the driveway - after the post office - because there was a van coming out of the driveway closest to the post office. Turns out that what I did was correct. The driveway closest to the post office is one-way out only. I read the reviews about the older Asian female worker. She was scolding the customer in front of me. Oh wow. When it was my turn, I wondered if she was going to yell at me for paying in coins. Haha! I took a chance and unloaded what felt like five pounds worth of nickels, dimes, and quarters! It's good to put them back into circulation, right? ... because two international stamps are only $2.90 right now. It's a great time to use coins as payment for this small amount of currency! I thought I counted correctly, but all she said was, "You need ten more cents." That was my cue to give her ten pennies... LOL! Anyway, that's my way of risk-taking. I'll play it safe the rest of the day... Hopefully...
