Horrible horrible horrible every time I go in there. Today a poor clerk named Sue was there by herself with a line of people out the door!!! She could not get any help even though I could see people in the back moving around. She ran into an issue in the middle of this mess dealing with a frantic woman who was panicking over a rather minor issue. When Sue asked her supervisor for help the supervisor brushed her off and walked away. It took me 50 minutes to get up to the front of the line. You people run a lousy organization. If anyone there cares send me a phone number and I would be glad to discuss further. read more

Whoever handles deliveries to 1355 El Camino Real, Redwood City during the weekdays from this location is the worst and laziest delivery person I have seen. Each time I am expecting a package, I get a missed delivery notification and this is even when I am home. The delivery person simply does not try to deliver the package and just puts "missed delivery ". STOP BEING LAZY AND DO YOUR JOB! read more

Probably the only post office in rwc that doesn't have an unpredictable lunch schedule or really short hours. I usually get in and out fast at this place and that's mostly what I need for dropping off prepaid parcels on lunch break or before / after work. Only complaint is that parking lot is small but same with downtown, only Woodside plaza's lot is spacious. read more

My very important package arrived on Friday 03/29/2024 and required my signature. Post office person arrived around 5 p.m , I was home but He probably did not ring my bell and just left note that I have a package. I expected that my package will come next day Saturday March 30 but it did not happen. I called my post office 1100 Broadway St in Redwood City and I was told that my package will be delivered on 04/01/2024. I waited the whole day at home - the package was not delivered. The parking lot is tiny as all get out, and - take it from me - do NOT park alongside the curb unless you want to get your car smashed into. The inefficiency and rudeness of the customer service left me frustrated and annoyed. The male behind the counter was very aggressive and very hyper. customer service lady representatives were also incredibly rude. When I approached the counter with a question about postage rates, the employee seemed annoyed by my inquiry and provided vague and unhelpful answers. Their attitude made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by simply asking a question. My recent experience at this post office was marked by inefficiency and rude customer service by a male and a female agent. I hope that the management takes steps to improve the overall experience for customers in the future, as it was truly disappointing. Great staff. Everyone was so helpful. I went in on a Wednesday mid morning, I needed help with the passport renewal and getting stamps. Both ladies that helped me were very helpful and kind with good tips. The gentleman in the first window did not help me, but I saw him attend to others. He was so patient with great tips for others. I've come to this post office for years and never had a problem. There tends to be a few people no matter the hour, but the staff does a fine job of keeping the line moving while providing courteous assistance. read more

I moved 6 months ago,just receiving forwarded mail now. Funny,as I had contacted their office a few months ago,and was told they were not holding any of my mail. No accountability,no one supervises the mail carriers who can,t be bothered to check mail box after you move,so beware if you put in a change of address to the Redwood City post office.Supervisor,Jennifer was apologetic,but really what good does this do? Its sad to see this place in such disarray. The workers, at least the ones I interacted with are rude and condescending.. They dont answer the phone when you call (if you can find the number) I rang the service bell in the lobby for 10 minutes while I saw through the window the counter not even acknowledging me. It seems like there is alot of unhappy employees there. I have found great discrepancies in mailing the exactly same package numerous times, the price has varied several dollars for the identical item going to the same place. They will explain something to you 1 million times even though you already understand and even when you do it correctly they will still act like you're doing it wrong. It's sad to say this. I was just here on Friday and had a wonderful lady helped me and told me to pick up my packages on Sunday. So I'm here on 3/24 at 10am waiting to be helped. It's now 11:15am and no one has acknowledged me or even respond to say I'm busy. I knocked and I heard a guy say wow she's still here and two ladies laughing saying. We thought she would leave like all the other people. This Post Office is ok. It's lacking an automated postal center kiosk, so you'd have to be slaves to the strict post office hours. The lines can be long, despite having four clerks working. The parking lot, however, is horrible. This post office is right off the Woodside 101 exit, so it can be tricky going in or out of the parking lot if the lines for the traffic light get too backed up. Luckily there are some "KEEP CLEAR" signs on the road, but still. I was really stressed trying to go in or out of this parking lot. read more

Not bad, not great. I mean, has ANYONE ever been to a GREAT post office? My main beef with this location is my postal carrier. He seriously has rocks for brains. I mean, why would you throw packages on the sidewalk? Why would you attempt to stuff a box into a tiny mail slot? Why would you leave packages in broad daylight? He seriously doesn't think. Well, I had enough of his antics and finally decided to call and voice my concerns. I really thought nothing would be done, but the lady who answered was very patient and kind and heard me out. It's only been a week, but I see a great improvement. The mail carrier seems to know that the right thing to do is gently place packages in less visible places. As far as service inside the post office goes, it's fair. Lines can be long. Sometimes the workers can be slow. But. It's the post office. If this place got an Automatic Postal Center, I'd be extremely happy! read more

The one thing I hate is when people waste my time And What a waste of time coming here!! I came here to purchase boxes and stamps. When it came to pay, I paid with my credit card. All of my credit cards say SEE ID on the back instead of a signature. The lady (old Asian lady with glasses and poofy hair) said "We don't accept that here." All of my credit cards for the last 13 years have said SEE ID and this is the first time I've been told that they cannot accept my credit card because it doesn't have an actual signature. This post office lady had the nerve to tell me that I must sign my card (even next to my "SEE ID") or else I cannot purchase the boxes and stamps! Horrible service! This place is always busy, but with only 1-2 people working at the desk. Wasted my lunch break coming to this place. So after work I went to another post office and the transaction went smoothly. read more

this is the main Redwood City branch. I like this location. it's opens before 9am which means i can swing by before work. in fact, it's pretty good one. The lines are normally long in the am but the ladies that work in there are pretty darn efficient so the lines go quickly. they are all really nice and i can go in and out pretty fast. i can't say anything regarding the passport office since i've never been. read more

Not only does he not do his job, but he purposely does his job incorrectly out of resentment against the customer. I ordered 15 large flat rate priority mail boxes. The carrier delivered one. So, I went to the post office. They had 16 in the display. Not wanting to take everything from the display, I asked the clerk if they had any more. Without doing anything to look, she just said no, there are no more. She said you have to order them. I said I did order 15 and 1 was delivered. I then just took every one that was in the display. I am sorry to anyone else going there looking for one. read more

Terrible postal office. Came here to get my passport application submitted and this place could not be the worst place to come do it. Arrived early for appointment to get seen sooner. Looks pretty good because there is no one waiting in line for passports but they won't see me because "it's not my appointment time" which is utter crap because there is NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME. I see the person in the back doing nothing on their phone. I ask the wtf why aren't you seeing me. They claim oh I'm busy. The staff in the front just pushed the blame to the passport person. There is no sense of accountability here. This is why absolutely no one likes government buildings. This place should be shut down or combined with another branch so they aren't lacking staff since that's the excuse they kept using. read more

this post office feels like the black hole as i always seemed to get sucked into coming here! if i'm away and have to pick up my bundle of mail, i have to come to this specific location. and if i want to mail something on a saturday, this is the only location in rwc that will postmark and deliver on that day. if i have to wait in line, i will bring something to read since i know i'll be waiting for a while. i can never understand why this is supposedly the main post office, and yet, there aren't more than 3-4 counters open at a time! the parking is always a horror here since the dedicated parking lot is small and fits maybe 10-15 vehicles? i usually end up waiting a bit and sometimes parallel park along the curb. read more

To anyone in USPS reading this - If you're going to hire people at reception desks please make sure they can respect your customers. I came here to request information about a package I couldn't track. I gave them articulate details about my issue and about how it possibly could be resolved. I was very patient and courteous with the clerks throughout. I accept the issue couldn't be resolved, that's not why I gave it a bad review; I'm upset about their attitudes and incompetence talking with people. Everyone I spoke to had a negative condescending snarky attitude about them. One clerk even turned his back while I was talking to him. While another lady was asking for a piece of paper, he hissed at her to go away. I worked in customer service before and their lack of patience was shocking. read more

I agree with all the negative posts about this Post Office...I wish I could get it no stars because they are NOT worthy of them! On Christmas eve 2014, I needed to go pick up a few packages from here. Upon entering there was only one person ahead of me so I patiently waited. When it was my turn, I went up, gave the Asian man working my pick-up slips and showed him my ID. He takes my ID, looks at the slips and asks, "are these yours?" Being the sarcastic person I am, I wanted to reply with something snarky and sarcastic, but decided to be nice and say yes. He reviewed both slips for a good minute or too, hands me my ID back, grunts, gets up and walks away to look for my package. There's strike one. He comes back with 2 of the 3 packages that needs to be picked up. He scans them, passes them to me and says "have a nice a day." I quickly said, "there's 2 tracking numbers on one of those slips, I should have 3 packages." He searches through the trash to find the slips, took them out and reviewed them again. Upon seeing that one had 2 tracking numbers, he rolled his eyes at me and goes to search for the last one. He brings it back, scans it, hands it to me and I was on my way with no "have a good day," or "happy holiday's"...nothing. This is not the first time I've had to deal with this gentlemen when I go to pick up my packages. He seems to always have a chip on his shoulder and be bothered when you hand him pick-up slips, like you're doing him a disservice. I hate going to this post office, not only is the staff rude, but getting out of their parking lot is a nightmare, especially if it's during a busy commute time. Unless I need to pick up a package, I do not go to this post office at all. I will travel across town or even to a neighboring town to do business with USPS. read more

IF YOUR 1 YEAR OLD NEEDS A PASSPORT DON'T COME HERE! This had to be, quite literally, the worst experience I've ever had in my life. Our 1 year old needs her passport and to get her picture take so we took her here. Listen, I totally understand that taking a perfect picture of a baby is much harder than taking one of an adult. And to be fair, we were late for our appointment (I left her birth certificate at home ‍) so we simply waited until we were called next which wasn't a very long wait. We get in and the woman is just kinda rude about how she wanted us to handle our baby.. rudely telling us to wipe her tears or stop holding her arms or move her hand and then she asked if our daughter could stand up on a narrow stool.. um no? Both my fiancé I did our best jobs to get her to look toward the camera but remember she is ONE and she can only sit still for so long. There were MULTIPLE moments when I was behind the camera and our daughter would be sitting perfectly still for a whole 15 seconds and then as soon as she started crying the woman would be like .. "ughhhhh". I'm sorry but what do you expect out of a one year old? Maybe if you just tried snapping a photo instead of expecting my baby to sit there perfectly for a minute all because you cant hold a camera steadily to be quick enough. Like this is your job.. photographing babies is PART of your job. Out of the 8 shots she took (in a span of 30 minutes) 2 of them were perfectly centered but she said the lighting was too bright. So I suggested us taking the flash off. She said, "no because then it will be to dark." Ok so wtf?? We tried putting her in the stroller with a white tee shirt back drop.. I tried hold her in the air against the wall.. but the woman just couldn't do it! There were so many missed opportunities of a photo. Eventually she said we have to go somewhere else cause she has other customers. AS WE WERE LEAVING the manager who was listening in the whole time THEN decides to come out and tells us we have to leave?? lol. Like ok lady yea, you're really helping. It just seems that no body cares about doing their job correctly. As we were being scooted out of the tiny office I took the white T-shirt that belonged to the woman off my stroller and tossed it on her desk. The manager then has a complete meltdown accusing me of throwing it at her because it touched her head lol I tossed it on the desk lady, get over yourself. My solution to this problem.. hire someone who can do better AND get a better camera (it took the pictures on a delay.. like when she would click the button, 2 seconds later the picture would be captured). UPDATE: Went to the post office in San Carlos and the woman there was SOOOOOOO friendly and helpful! read more

This post office is off Broadway and is pretty large, it has a decent parking lot and they are building a new 24 Hour Fitness right next to it! It is conveniently located right off the 101 highway, so right when I am done dealing the the P.O I get right on the freeway and go home,. This post office can get very busy especially after the hours of 4pm. I usually try to go early in the morning or during my lunch break. I may be lucky at times and not have to wait in a line but normally I am waiting in line. The workers here are very helpful and usually will go out there way to make sure that the customers are leaving happy. The seem to always have good humor. Especially since I always seem to complain about pricing. Usually when I complain and be like "Oh No! That's to much money, like there book of stamps that cost $9.78 I was like Oh No! That's way to much money. The worker laughed and said, " no wonder the Post Office is going bankrupt!" LOL it was a good laugh. I would recommend coming here but beware that the lines can get long, the good thing is the lines does go down pretty fast. read more
