This is the SECOND time that I've received a package from the post office in Ramona and they shove the damn box in my mailbox instead of taking their lazy behind up the damn stairs to drop it off. Don't really need to leave a review since they already have a sad 2 stars but think people need to know something about this place. First off, I'm Asian and yet I'm still very bothered by the lack of professionalism that these Filipino staff have. You should not speak your native language behind the counter in front of customers. AY NAKU!!! Terracita is one bad woman. I sent a package out from here and have a receipt showing I paid for shipping. Got a notice in mail that package was not delivered due to it having "no postage". Spoke with Terracita, she jotted my number and said she'll look for it. Never apologized for inconvenience and after a week, never followed through by calling me to let me know they could not locate. So I go back in to ask her, she said they got too busy to call and tell me that the package was sent to SD and is now at the local post office near where I live. I asked her what had happened, her explanation? "They could have ripped off label or the label somehow came off". Wow, how much unprofessionalism can one business lack?? Could not perform and could not own up to their mistake nor offer help...to just tell me I have to call local post office to track package. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

I've been generally happy with service from this post office. Today Paolo helped me, and he was pleasant and efficient. There's plenty of parking but I notice that there are people coming from so many directions that it often ends up being a cluster.... I just try to park as far away from everyone else as I can. Completely incompetent. Lost packages, mail in the wrong PO Box, to the wrong address. You name it, they f**k it up.

The phone line never goes through and packages continue to just sit at their location. We had a package show arrived 6 days ago and it still hasn't moved from the post office, no attempted deliveries, nothing. Since I have USPS digest where it updates me on things coming, I tried to make sure they knew they could just leave it at the door (it's a big package) through their "schedule a delivery". Apparently they declined to leave it, if and when they would ever deliver it... I don't live on a dirt road, my house is 2 houses from the mail boxes, paved street, right in the middle of town, huge driveway spaces to "turn around". I have no idea why the mail carriers are so lazy here. We moved from rural Escondido and had 100 times better service there! We lived on a half public/half private road and the mail always arrived and if it didn't, the manager was always available by CELLPHONE! Still waiting for it to even move from the post office. Guess I'll be going there after work to find out WTF. I'll be making sure to file complaints with whomever I can. read more

When it comes to parking and you have a small car beware, these folks got big trucks and they will run you over. No one really seems to be paying attention here so drive carefully. When you walk in I am guessing there is suppose to be one side to enter and the other to exit but now is just a mess, there were a few minor collisions and one angry man in a motorized chair who could not get out. I think a handicap door opener button would be a great idea. The postal workers were great. The two people who helped me understood exactly what i needed even though I did not. I was able to get my mail box keys in an week and they even put my mail on hold for me until everything was sorted out. The space inside is nicely sized. i like that they have all of the boxes and fun extras in their own space and the post office boxes are in their own area two the division of space is a huge plus. I am always amazed by how the postal workers are able to keep a smile on their faces during the holidays. HIGH FIVE!!! to the postal workers. read more

Ramona, CA post office is in need of improvement. Even now, I'm attempting to contact someone at their number (760-789-3118). Typically, I have to call back 5-6 times before anyone even answers the phone. Main problem is they will not deliver packages. They often claim on their form that "no one was home" (not true) or that "there was no room to leave the item" (also, not true). Interesting thing is that Amazon, UPS, Fedex all seem to have no problems whatsoever with the same deliveries and I know the pay/benefits of the USPS folks is much better. Did the online vacation mail hold, and 5 out of 6 times it got screwed up and mail was delivered. Since then, I only go to the PO and hand over the mail hold forms; so far so good! I wish they would privatize the US Mail Service. THIS kind of "service" doesn't happen y over seas, in the four countries I have lived in...never have I ever had such poor service for something so simple as the mail. The packages are not delivered to the correct address, they are never on time, they are mis-sorted to the wrong apartments, we as residents are constantly hand-delivering to each other (or sending things back return to sender). I have "informed delivery" as an option, where they send me a photo of what is coming that day and they have lost really important, valuable documents TWICE even though they have sent the pic of it, so they themselves proved they did have it! There is NO WAY a private business would get away with this type of BS. And now, just announced, they want to charge more, take longer and do less. Typical government spending. Avoid if you can. Choose another shipper. Demand better service. You have choices! read more

Again, they refuse to deliver to my house. I live in a normal neighborhood, no gates, no barriers of any kind. They're just too lazy and they are dishonest. They informed Amazon that they couldn't deliver my package as they didn't have access to my building! Really, I live in a house, not a buidling, no gate, no problems. I'm only six minutes from the post office too, it's not like I'm in the middle of nowhere. I was home all morning. They didn't even drive up my driveway. Amazon should not contract with the USPS. The counter people are always cheerful and helpful. They deserve 5 stars. However, I'm out of town and need to check something on my P.O. Box and can never get thru to anyone via phone. Their phone line is always busy. Yesterday I got in almost 200 calls on auto dial. All busy. All times of the day. This morning I manually dialed (used redial) for the past 45 mins. 390 calls! All back to back. None got thru. All busy. Such a shame our government waste is showing again. I have to believe they take the phone off the hook. I called right up to and past closing time. It never did anything but a busy signal. After hours used to ring. As for the other reviewer, I've never seen carriers in the front area of the post office where they described throwing out mail they forgot to deliver. Hopefully it was my junk mail. I get way too much of it. My carrier is hit or miss. I frequently get neighbors mail, so that means they're probably getting mine too. Not happy when that happens! read more

They are fairly easy to work with, they help a lot with getting your packages in the right packaging which can sometimes be a pain, and cost too much. They aren't my first choice but not because of poor service. This location offers friendly staff with a fair wait time, ( it can sometimes take 20 minutes to complete one task such as passport pictures and P.O. Box registration.) I have not had a problem and I've been there 4-5 times now. read more

It seems that the USPS is in collaboration with UPS. In tracking my package through UPS they stated that it was at the Ramona post office the day before it was to be delivered in the afternoon. The next day came and went with no package from the post office. Apparently UPS can traverse the whole US in one day but the Ramona post office can't seem to get a package out a few miles away on time!!!! read more

She does not appear to like her job and should try doing something where she doesn't have to deal with the public. My mail box is a quarter mile from my house. This post office won't drive the additional quarter mile to deliver a package and also won't leave the item at my mail box because there's no "secure location". To make things worse - they are only open during bankers hours and I'm not in ramona from 9:30 to 5. So - pretty much they're asking me to only use UPS or Fedex because of their lack of desire to drive a quarter mile to deliver a package. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I visit this post office several times a week to check my PO box and often visit the counter to pick up larger packages of stuff I order from Amazon. There is always plenty of parking, the building is clean, and the employees are cheerful and efficient. When the line at the counter gets long, employees from the back and also the manager herself step in to help out. It's always been a pleasant experience dealing with the employees here. read more

Had a package delivered to my mail box and was unable to remove. Route mail carrier stuffed package in small mail box so tight it wouldn't come out. Rather then taking a few extra seconds to use bulk size mailbox a foot away. Repeated calls post office for three days and all I get is busy signal. I don't understand how this USPS location is so screwed up (Ramona, CA). Since I moved to Ramona we've been having issues with the post office. Lost, damaged, missing items, you name it! My wife and I will go out of our way to try and use other delivery services. Quite frankly, I'm surprised they even have a 2 star rating. It should be lower. The worst part is, the employees could care less. They are federal employees and they'll get a check regardless if they do their job or not. I have an email link for USPS otherwise I wouldn't have known that they tried to deliver my package, probably to the wrong address; there was no attempted delivery slip on my door. I was in my office which overlooks the front door. To get my package (which fits in the cluster box package bin they didn't use) I have to drive 20 miles into town. New construction anyone? Don't expect to get mail delivery there. Per their "new growth coordinator", their carriers only delivery along routes they established back in the 1800s. Ever wonder why you see clusters of mailboxes down main street and Old Julian Hwy and other MAIN roads through town? That's because the Ramona post office refuses to deliver mail to people's homes! LAZY. Did you know that it is against the federal postal policies to require people to walk more than a block to get their mail?? How is this post office getting away with this! Stand up for your rights people and demand these federal employees do their job - deliver mail to YOU. Furthermore, if you get a package, they'll keep it on pallet for a week and then lose it! They say, "It's probably on a pallet. it's Amazon's fault for delivering packages so early in the morning. We don't take them off the pallets in the morning." They even give away your packages to random people - they don't bother with IDs at this post office - because, well, we're all family. read more

why does my mail take 4 days to deliver locally? this has been going on for 1 year. what is up?

The staff at the front desk is usually very sweet and pleasant to talk to, but the mail carriers are absolutely horrible. I went into the post office to see if I could pick up a package that was marked as undeliverable because the address was wrong (I've seen photos of the package and the address is correct). While I was waiting for the lady at the front desk to look for my package, two mail carriers were standing across the room talking about how they forgot to deliver some mail while on their rout. Instead of solving the problem, they decided to toss the mail in the TRASH. The lady at the front desk came back and told me that my package is on its way back to China and to contact the company I placed the order with. My package only made it to the Hayward Dan Diego post office before being sent BACK to Ramona because the address is valid. Instead of attempting to deliver the package again, Ramona USPS tried to send it back to China. My package has been going back and forth between Ramona and San Diego for about two weeks. Every time I see my package has arrived at the Ramona post office, I go in and ask them to look for it. Each time they tell me that my package is not there. I called the main customer service for USPS to get some help. The most they could do is make a note stating to call me when Ramona gets the package back, but this has yet to happen. As of right now, my package is on it's way back to San Diego again.... read more
