Was expecting a package from Amazon yesterday for 4/19/2026 it showed that it was delivered, but I never received it. I looked everywhere. No package to be found whoever delivered it lied and they used to leave pictures where it showed it was dropped off and they don't do that anymore. I've been very disappointed with the post office cause sometimes there is a gate to go to my front door. They don't leave the package off at the front door. They sometimes throw the package over the fence. They don't even know whether it's fragile or not, and just leave it there which irritates me the service with the post office is getting so slacked. I don't know who they get for the deliveries but these delivery people are so untrained and could give a shit about delivery. read more

Time sensitive delivery was expected yesterday. It is needed for a 5:00 am medical appointment tomorrow. After watching the tracking all day, it finally appeared as 'delivery attempted' but "undeliverable" due to "blocked access" to the "door or driveway". Three cameras say the driver is a liar; no delivery was attempted nor was access to anything on the property blocked. Would have been more believable if driver stated, "undeliverable because it is raining and I hate my job." Would not have had it shipped to home if I knew USPS was the carrier. I receive 100% of UPS/FedEx deliveries. I've only had USPS deliver 2 out of about 10 successfully. (Being generous. I can actually only remember one success in three years). Nothing against them. I just really wish they'd deliver when they're the carrier. They'll carry it on the truck for a week then return to sender before they'll deliver it. This package actually *really* needed to be received. Received on time would have been a bonus. I used to be a delivery driver, and I just don't get it. This review is specifically for the 95667 zip code. Hoping I don't have more issues for having so daringly posted a review. Do not trust this post office with important documents or packages. Something very important was recorded to be at this place and no one could find it and offered no recourse or real assistance. DO NOT have anything of any type of value sent here. Have it sent to your local fed ex or ups. The one star is for a very helpful gentleman who has been there a long time. I've lived in Placerville for almost 29 years, and can honestly say we have the worst, most dysfunctional postal service of all the many places I've lived. We regularly get mail that isn't ours. Amazon deliveries take at least a day or two longer than in even rural areas of our county. We have a different carrier every day. They regularly ruin books I order by shoving them in my locked box even though they don't really fit. I personally witnessed a postal employee, who it turned out was the manager at the time, walk halfway down my sidewalk and unceremoniously throw a package down, instead of walking the extra 10 feet to put it on my covered deck. I know the U.S. Postal Service is struggling now, but other post offices still seem to manage to do a decent job of fetting mail to customers. I'm almost ready to pay for a private box and drive somewhere to get my mail. Still hoping a competent person comes in to turn this mess around! read more

Most post offices are inefficient and burecractic nightmares. THIS POST OFFICE TAKES THE CAKE. It took 9 trips (1hour and 15 to get to with a newborn) about 11/2 months for them to change my lock on box after a new home purchase and each time I had different information given to me. Numerous unanswered phone calls (they just don't answer the phone EVER). THEN after two months. when I couldn't get into my box AGAIN because the lock was changed without my consent I had to go in person again because they just don't answer their phone. Turns out they processed the original lock change form again, months later. Missing mail, credit cards drivers license, registration. Nothing they can do, I was told fill out an online form. The Post Office recently switched out the group mailboxes on Bedford and Poverty Hill without notifying any of the Residents, our keys no longer work and from posts on neighborhood sites several people have medications that can't get to. It would of been nice to be told this was happening and how are we going to get new keys. This is the typical Placerville postal service, no notifications and damaged packages they force into the boxes you have to try and pull them out. read more

I went into the PO in person and was told that our delivery person was "brand-spankin new" and unable to complete the route and that the federal govt required her to start the route from the beginning each day instead of completing what was not delivered (??). The Placerville USPS is a joke. I usually order from Amazon. They in turn transfer my order to USPS. I can count on seeing the out for delivery of my item in Amazon being followed by "undeliverable mailbox is full" for the same day. The next day I have to drive to the Placerville office to pick up my items. They say they will try again but never do. I have spoke with a supervisor a couple of times but she couldn't care less. These people are useless. I have since changed to Walmart+ and others who will only ship my items via Fedex or UPS. read more

i live in a 100 unit apartment complex. Packages are sometimes delivered by alternate people other than our usual carrier who is great. the package person dosent care where the packages go as long as they are out of his truck. This is an ongoing problem, with several complaints lodged with post office....we pray everybody is honest and they dont keep the packages, that is a stress we dont need to be subjected to. I try to avoid this location if I can because every time I've had to come here they are so rude to the point where it will ruin my day. Sometimes it's unavoidable because I work up the street and need to mail items for my job. As usual, I came today and was treated so poorly it upset me. For no reason at all. I was trying to be friendly to the clerk. But I was talked down to like i'm an idiot when I tried to put my credit card in early (How dare I?! I've had a long day please give me a break). I am always kind and greet with a smile no matter how difficult my day has been, so it surprises me when I'm talked down to. No one deserves it. I sympathize because I too work in a hectic environment where I have more bad/stressful days than I can count myself and I would never, ever treat a human the way they treat me here. It just gets worse with this place. This place has a hard time delivering packages. My package was scheduled to be delivered on 9-29-2003, and it never arrived. Then I get a message saying access unavailable, however UPS and FedEx had no issues. 9-30-2023 same thing, 10-1-2003 same thing. On 10-2-2023 I went to the post office and spoke with the guy at the counter and he told me that the mail lady was on vacation and her substitute skipped a bunch of deliveries. He assured me that it would be delivered that day. Well surprise surprise, no package again with a delivery failed attemp. We have security cameras everywhere and there was no USPS truck on it. FedEx seemed to have no issues delivering yesterday. I have opened up a complaint with the inspector generals office, along with the post master of the placerville branch and the postmaster generals office. This morning 10-3-2023 I received a email feedback form on how my case was handled. No one attempted to contact me, packages and mail are still not being delivered and Bryan Perez and Jaspir Kaur are never available. This is by no means an isolated incident. Same thing happened on the weekend of Sept. 22nd and then many times before that. Each time I'm given the excuse that the driver must be back at the post office by a certain time. Shipper beware if you want to use USPS Placerville. And to think these people charge a lot of money to mail stuff. Supervisor Allie refuses to talk to customers and will actively ignore you. She will have her staff send you on your way saying they can't help you. This is the type of customer service Placerville Postoffice provides. read more

Placerville post office is the most unreasonable agency in the country. I my neighbor we went 4 days with no mail. Neighbor's were looking for Medications. I fortunately at that time was online waiting on bills. But enough is enough, so far this week I have had 2 packages lost, stolen or not delivered. I have had medication stolen 2 times from either this post office or Sacramento. The medication was Alprazolam I paid money for it and was not reimbursed. This is one of the worst post iffice ,i have wver had to deal with. Most of the workers are rude dont care about the citzens or their mail. They will mark delivered when packages are not delivered,, they are ao unprofessional and this is what we get stucknwith in placerville, basic needs not met terrible service rude. Mailman hit my gate controller and then lied about it. They all need to be fired. If you have to use the placerville post office youre better off not wasting your time. My mail is consistently put in the wrong mailbox. Packages from other addresses are put in my box. Our multi mailbox is left open where anyone can take the mail. You can never reach the Placerville postmaster. They let it ring then hang up on you. The post office is a disgrace. read more

So here's the deal. I was struggling meeting the walk-in times at the passport office in Citrus Heights. It was a nightmare. Not only was I struggling with that;m, no one answered the phone over there. So I did a big of digging and noticed the Placerville post office helps with passports by appointment. Awesome. I'm in a bit of a time crunch so getting an appointment asap was crucial. Woohoo for procrastinating! Luckily when I checked the website to see available appointments there was a time slot for the next day. Finally! When I got there I checked in with the lady behind the counter, who went to the back and let the passport guy know that his next appointment was here. Within a couple minutes, he called me over. Immediately, he took my passport paperwork then I noticed I forgot my checkbook in the car. I told him I'd run to my car to grab it; no biggie. Got to the car and nothing I forgot my checkbook. I went back thinking I screwed up and have to schedule another appointment. I told the guy who was helping me and he said no problem if you have a debit card. WHAT. Literally made my day. After that, it was smooth sailing. The guy that helped not only saved the day, but also made the process simple. He was a friendly guy, very thorough, and helpful, Honestly, I'm so happy I went to this location. Best experience I had considering I was sucking big time! I highly recommend getting your passport done here. You're in and out before your 15 minutes is up. read more

Who wants to go to the Post Office, DMV, Social Security Office, ok, any local Government office you have to make a visit to! The normal wrap is : long lines, uncaring people, and well, it's probably going to take up most of your morning or afternoon, whichever appointment time you have. Heaven forbid you didn't make an appointment and show up at any of these offices, you r will surely be sent away! Anyhoo, after an hour search on "Google" for a Post Office within a 30 mile radius to renew my husband and my passport, I finally located this post office (oh no, not to renew!! no p.o. within a 100 mile radius would do that) I could only make an appt to get our passport pictures taken. We arrived at appt. time. I just want to say that the lady in charge of taking pics, was amazing, indeed! She was kind, and because we had our applications filled out and complete, she helped us attach our pics, and mail in our renewals!! Apparently it's now acceptable for the mail man to take time off and then your mail doesn't get delivered, have been waiting with my neighbors for 3 days to get mail. My tracking says delivery attempted every day but it hasn't been attempted went into the post office to get mail and packages the lady said that the mail man has been off for 3 days so that's why we didn't get our mail. When I asked for my mail she said it was out being delivered but it still hasn't been delivered and I got another tracking update saying delivery attempted but no access. This is against the US postal code mail isn't delivered based on if the mailman is sick. This is also fraud. Also called post office and they pick up phone and then hang up before you can even say anything. Pushing this up the chain. Placerville post office is a blight on our awesome community. read more

There needs to be a federal investigation of this post office. Mail delivery is so shoddy that my insurance was canceled because I didn't receive my mail. I complained at the post office, and the nasty woman whose hair color is a crime against humanity explained the mail wasn't delivered because the carrier quit. read more

I wish they would deliver my packages to me instead of consistently leaving pick up slips. I believe if the carriers delivered packages that would reduce the lobby wait time and stress on the employees. The last 2 times I waited over an hour to pick up small boxes. I've never had issues with the post office here. I don't have a mail box though and I live in an area where I receive my mail regularly and don't have issues with mail theft. I send packages from here all the time. And usually I'm running up frantically looking for boxes and tape to wrap my packages and everything is right there. I've got my passport renewed and my son's passport issued here. I've used two different guys and they have been awesome. But you know, we come on time, research all the papers that need to be filled out, and everything runs smoothly. I think David is the nicest. He's friendly and gets things done quickly and I'm out the door before I know it. I've had questions before and he's answered them all thoroughly. Constantly changing the postal carrier. Constantly not delivering my packages, "due to inaccessibility to driveway" etc., even though I have signs in the driveway, instructing where to leave packages. and my driveway could not be more accessible! The carriers generally cannot seem to deliver packages and or mail to the right address either, which is just asinine...Everyone's address is more than posted, on posts, on logs, on the houses, and on the mailbox, yet they frequently deliver to the wrong address. read more

This post office is THE WORST. After a snow storm they have refused to deliver packages despite roads being cleared for over a week. They left a pick up notice for 3 packages in my mailbox and when I showed up to get them they told me they haven't even sorted those packages and could only find 1 of them. I asked why they would leave me a notice to pick them up but they have not been sorted? And she said she doesn't know. I then asked if they will just redeliver them once they are sorted and she said no they would not deliver them since we already left you a notice to pick them up... absolutely unbelievable. As a community we have been understanding of the bad storm but this post office has completely mismanaged the situation and caused unnecessary stress on the residents affected who have already dealt with enough including power outages for over a week now. read more

My son Had a 10:30am appt for a passport renewal. There Was only a gentleman and a women helping at the front desk, they were both helping a customer. We were waiting in line for about 10 minutes and then the lady said I can help you next, I told her I was waiting for the gentlemen doing the passports. She immediately said "you never checked in?" I replied that no I hadn't because they were both assisting Customers, so I was waiting to check in. She proceeded to say I was late and that since I never checked in, that I would have to wait until they became available. I was told to wait to be seen,there was no one in line for about 10 more minutes so we were still waiting to be seen. Aand then people who had passport appts at 10:45 an 11:00 started to arrive. I was never called up, I waited for 45 minutes. having had pulled my son from school, and waiting 3 weeks for this scheduled appt this was a very frustrating situation. The lady with the pink hair that was working for The postal office was very unprofessional. I understand it's stressful to be low staffed, but to tell me I was late because I didn't interrupt to check in that's not acceptable. In store service received over several visits was poor from all but one clerk who seemed new. The other workers were unsympathetic, rude, slow and/or appeared as if they could not be bothered. Several weeks have gone by since asking for the key to mailbox. It needs rekeyed, person on vacation, person won't get to right away. No word on rekeying. What's worse is Amazon uses USPS to deliver packages so I am not getting them. I met one driver that was very helpful but she said it wasn't her normal route. Randy my postal carrier is awesome!! I ordered a package and messed up and didnt put my street number on it. I caught randy delivering the mail and told him about it and he told me not to worry and the next day I checked my mail and it was there. Awesome!!! Especially since it was 2 days before Christmas and I know everyone at the post office has been getting pounded since dec 1st!!
