The staff is very kind and helpful. They do rent storage units with drywall holes knowing they have RATS and stuff packets of RAT poisoning in them. I showed up my day to move in there were no others available units. I already had trucks and people there to move me and I had no choice but to take the unit. RATS destroyed my things. They said it's a known issue that's why it's all over the lease. Talk to other members of the community this facility is known for its RAT problems. read more

The call center gave me misinformation on price and the required lock. I wasted my time during a crisis (rental scam and illegal lock out) setting an appointment based on this misinformation. When I arrived, the secretary gave me the unit number and I decided to go check out the unit before renting a unit. I wasted more time driving around searching for a smaller unit based on my conversation with the "call center" (read, "marketing center"). I couldn't find it. Wasted more time going back to the office and the secretary took me to a MUCH larger and MUCH more expensive unit than the call center set the appointment for. A very hurtful disappointment as I had no extra time or money to waste during an illegal lock out of my personal property by a rental scammer in Camino. I feel doubly scammed by the "call center." read more

My experience at Placerville self storage went amazing! I called in looking for a small unit the lady who answered provided me with all the details and even offered to show me the unit. Unfortunately I didn't make it so next day I rescheduled. I also didn't make it to my next visit I did get a call back I wasn't able to respond so I gave them a call back Tuesday morning. I was able to stop by both Michelle and Jennifer attended me at the front desk. They were very helpful when it came to picking a size unit right for me. They were both so kind and welcoming I felt so comfortable asking any sort of question. They answered and provided me with detail I needed. They were so so kind I talked with them for a little longer these ladies are the kind of woman you'd like to just hang around and chat. They were very professional understanding and supportive. They deserve so much praise! And a raise. I'm supper glad I ended up choosing self storage these ladies made my visit and purchase worth it! If you value your possessions and would like to keep them free of MOUSE POOP, and PEE, I suggest going anywhere else but here. Also, if you value being treated respectfully as a customer AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I've been trying to get a manager to call me back for over a month now. I discovered the poop and feces back in November (notice the date on my photo) and I still haven't gotten a response. The manager Gina will not call you back and if she does, she will leave you directions to call her back that are incorrect and I'm pretty sure she does it on purpose because I've left 4+ messages for her since and have gotten SILENCE. The front desk staff either does not relay messages that they receive from angry customers or Gina the manager does not care about doing her job. The calls are all recorded so I know they have access to them but just can't be bothered. I've stated multiple times in all of my messages that this is about mouse poop so they know why I am upset and I know that the reason they're not calling me back is because I'm asking for someone to take action and they simply do not care about customers, customer service, and they certainly don't care about your belongings. I found opened mouse killer shoved under my storage unit door all the way into my unit which I did not put there. They charge $240 a month for all of your things to get destroyed so if you value being treated nicely as a customer and you value your things being clean when you pick them up again, do not come here. Oh and I emailed the Property manager Brian Watson who also ignored me. If you scroll, there's more people with this same problem. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I called the facility about a week before arriving in town and was told there were numerous units available, but upon arriving was told this was not the case. However, the clerk that helped me was able to locate the size of unit I needed. The price was not the price that was quoted over the phone, but she offered me a 1/2 off first month incentive. My son rented a unit here, within 1 hour of renting the unit we decided that the unit was not adequate and cancelled it. We asked for a refund. We were told it would be sent to us. After several calls and weeks later and no refund we were finally told they do not reimburse anyone. What terrible business practices and bad customer service. I've been at Placerville self storage for close to six months. About a month ago somebody cut my lock and put their own lock on here after breaking in and taking what they wanted. I did an investigation and found who it was and when it happened and ask the office staff to check video on it for me and and possibly get a pic or t[wo. After about a week they did absolutely nothing. I was continued to be harassed by the thieves that came into my storage so I hit and it one day hoping to catch them. The manager found me in my shed in the middle of the day with the door down and is now throwing me out in the middle of this covid pandemic. No explanation just that I had to go because of this. Still to this day I've heard nothing from management about my break in they would rather kick me out to make themselves look bad. I would not put anything you care about into the storage because they obviously don't care about it at all. Also during this time that they gave me two weeks to move out and then restricted my gate access from 9 to 6 but for the last week I've actually been locked out of my storage completely but yet I'm expected to move. This staff are nothing but Nazis and power tripping losers. read more
