The owner/manager of this place is absolutely amazing. I was having some issues of which I won't dive into the specifics about on here but she was so professional, kind and helpful (probably a huge understatement). You simply don't meet people like that nowadays. At least I don't. With that being said, I would most definitely recommend Superior Self Storage in Cameron Park to anyone who's in need of storage in the foothills. On top of what I mentioned above, the monthly rates are very competitive (they had great discounts on the first few months), the facility is always spotless and all the employees I've interacted with have been awesome. I've rented many storage spaces from many facilities over the years from Los Angeles to the Sacramento area. This place by far exceeds all of my expectations and is the cleanest and best run facility! I was shocked this past week about the lack of availability of storage units and went to one storage company who suggested that I bring tarps to cover my belongings because the roof leaked in the unit they were offering?! I was also very impressed that everything is so high tech and the process of signing agreement and insurance was smooth and easy. Thank you Theresa for your great customer service! Good experience. Having the moving truck for local moves is a nice bonus. Everyone know moving is not a lot of fun, so this facility having clean offices, bathrooms and floors all air conditioned is very nice during the summer heat. The staff was also always friendly and helpful throughout. Very close to the freeway for easy access as well. They helped us make moving into Serrano just a couple miles away much easier. We needed a storage place unexpectedly when our bedroom flooded and we were so lucky to land here! The front office staff was so helpful getting us set up, giving us a tour, and scheduling a time to use their moving truck to move our stuff in. The facility is beautiful and clean. We have an interior unit that is spotless. There are automatic sliding doors at the entry and flat dollys both of which are extremely helpful when moving items in or out. The women are Superior - super helpful and went "above and beyond" to help facilitate our move "home" to CA. Very responsive to our needs - from across the country! The facility is Superior - units new, clean and well lit - "move in ready" - which was critical as we showed up with a 75' long moving van & crew to unload our household goods. And they are expanding with new units being built. Security is Superior - physical parameter is well maintained - and the internal camera system I saw when I walked into the office was not just for show. Danielle - my first point of contact - and the greatest helper I have interactive with for this first month Karla - also a key supporter in our move ... agreed to open the facility early to allow the moving crew to complete the move before the heat of the day. She has also been there to support us throughout the move. Ashley - I've had limited interaction with her - but she always greets me by name and with a smile while it appears she is doing security checks of the facility. Superior Self Storage is appropriate named - it is Superior in all aspects I have observed. read more

The staff was nice and courteous. They were great about keeping me updated on the status of availability for the size unit I was looking for. The unit was spotless along with the complex as a whole. The security is tight but not so much that it's a burden to the users. They also have a truck you can use for free when you rent the unit which is a real bonus! I am glad that I was able to find a unit here and will use them again for any storage needs I have in the future. read more

After calling many local boat storage faciltiies in the area, I realized that this process wasn't going to be easy. This is the busiest season for boat storage. I dropped in to Superior and was shuttled to the available spot by the friendly staff member instantly. WIthin 20 minutes, I was back at home grabbing my trailer. I had an awesome experience at this storage place. The management and staff were helpful, polite, and professional. We needed a place on short notice and were unsure of exactly what we needed. They provided us with options to allow us to scale the storage to our needs. When we arrived, they loaned us a ladder and carts. They provided water for myself and the movers. When we determined our final needs they took care of everything with no hassle. It's in a safe location and the units are all alarmed. I highly recommend this storage facility! read more

We had been hoping to move a few large items out of our storage unit and were very excited that this place offered a free truck rental so that we could do this. However, it was NOT made clear when we were told upon opening the storage unit that the truck was only for move in purposes and they wouldn't let us rent it a few months later to move things. We had been buzzing about this great service to our friends completely unaware that it had been a misleading offer. We really wish they had made that clear so we could have made other arrangements. Frankly it just seems a little dishonest. read more

She will take the time to answer all of your questions and make sure everything is squared away tight. The facility is the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen. Well lit, with extremely easy access (as in: they don't have a layout that forces you to be making 19-point turns in your moving truck, just to get around and out when you leave), and they offer both standard and climate controlled units. The most convenient thing about Superior Self Storage is that they keep solid gate hours; 6:00am to 8:00pm every day. It doesn't get any better than that. They consider the needs of their customers, which are not only met, but exceeded. Highly recommended and I suggest calling as far in advance as possible because availability can be limited. read more
