The postal carriers in Phoenixville are careless!! Until moving to Phoenixville, I had never once had an issue with mail service or delivery from USPS. In 1 year I've had numerous pieces / packages of mail go missing - including important items such as tax forms, prescription medicine, and checks/invoices. Sometimes the mail finds its way after a few weeks, other times I never see it again. Most recently they lost prescription meds (schedule II narcotics). A neighbor 1 mile away posted on Facebook that while walking their dog they found the package in the snow on the side of a road. What's more is the postal carrier marked the package as delivered in mailbox, when very clearly from my doorbell camera I see no package was delivered on the date in question. They marked it "delivered" 2 hours after they were actually on my stoop that day - very clearly lying. Sometimes I don't have a choice as to what delivery service is used (e.g., CVS ships via USPS), but when I do I will not choose USPS. It's apparent from other reviews that this is a reoccurring theme in this town. For a "company" that is funded from tax payers you'd think they would care more about the service they provide. If my Amazon gig-fare drivers can find my mailbox successfully, certainly these "professionals" can too. read more

We have had many problems with our mail delivery in the past few months (since the old letter carrier retired and we got a new guy). In September I mailed 4 envelopes with checks in them (to doctor's offices) from our community mailbox. None of those mailpieces made it to the doctor's offices and the checks from two of them were fraudulently cashed by a local bank. This week we are missing two packages that were scanned as having been delivered. II can never reach the Phoenixville post office by phone; it just rings and rings and then hangs up on me. I don't know what is going on but now, whenever I send a check out, I take it either to the Kimberton or Malvern post office. I don't know what to do about mail that isn't making it to my box...maybe get a PO box in Devault??? BTW I live in Phoenixville...don't know why it says I'm in San Francisco-??!! read more

I see why they have low rating. Very unprofessional. I went yesterday and they have a sign up that the window wont open until 9am. Ok no biggie, things happen. Go again today. Got there around 7:53am. The window is supposed to open at 8am. Mind you while I'm in the lobby 2 employees have come in and I heard about 3-4 employees in the back talking. 8am comes noone comes out. At around 810 a man comes out and puts a sign in the door the window wont open until 9am...like are you effin kidding me. So in the 15-29 mins that you saw me standing in the lobby noone thought it would be polite to let a customer know they aren't opening until later!?! A bunch of effin losers. read more

In the last few days I've contacted this PO, with valid concerns. They've been very dismissive, and today I was hung up on after my phone rang for almost 5 minutes. i had one quick question about a blue mailbox in the area and whether or not the mail was being picked up daily. It doesn't seem like my mail is getting to its destination in a timely manner. With a lot of the mail in these mailboxes getting stolen, I thought it was a good question. Apparently not! I think this post office is not efficient nor customer friendly. This is probably why more people are using FedEx or UPS. read more

They absolutely suck. My issue isn't with the on site staff - it's with the mail delivery in my townhome development. I've lived in multiple towns in my life and, hands down, I've never come across more incompetent mail carriers. They often deliver as late as 8pm at night (non-holiday, non-election; in other words, there are no excuses). They redid the locks in our mailboxes without notifying the residents so my key doesn't work without a fight. Mail goes to wrong addresses. There just seems to be no accountability. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Ken was rude, aggressive, condescending, and all around NASTY. I moved from Phoenixville to Newtown Square and filed a change of address to Newtown Square. I then moved to Charlotte NC, but my family still lives in Newtown Square. I did not file a change of address to Charlotte yet, and figured anything that went to the Newtown Square address my family would send down to me as needed. The sender of a package I ordered sent it to the Phoenixville address by mistake. After figuring the change of address would ensure the package got to Newtown Square, and tracking the package for over a week only to see it got delivered back to the Phoenixville mail room, I called to resolve the situation. That's when Ken came into my life. Right out of the gate he was aggressive and accusatory. After he yelled at me multiple times I asked why my change of address wasn't followed so that the package would be delivered to Newtown Square. That's when he abruptly stated that he was going to send it back to the sender and HUNG UP ON ME! I called back and apologized for being short (which I wasn't really but I figured it would appease him) and he proceeded to yell at me saying that I was making so much extra work for people because I screwed up, and that someone was going to have to pay for the extra postage because it had been shipped around so many times, and finally made it VERY clear to me how inconvenient it was going to be for him to do his job and allow my family to pick up the package. I decided to not subject my family to his attitude, so I guess I'll never get my package. Long story short, Ken was the worst employee I've ever spoken to and I hope the Phoenixville Post Office decides to keep him away from the public if this is how he behaves with everyone. I have been using the post office a lot over the past few weeks. I have to say I was fairly new to the process starting out and required extra assistance on the best type of shipping and packing methods. I have found the women who work there to go over and above to help. They are extremely friendly and surprisingly well composed and calm even when it is busy in there. Thanks! read more

Like most Americans, my experience with USPS offices varies wildly. Often times, you spend a lot of time waiting in line, the hours are inconvenient if you have a job that works traditional hours, and many workers don't seem to care. Phoenixville's Post Office proved to me today that they cared. I came to pick up a package that needed to be signed for this morning and entered the building to wait until the branch opened at 8. The staff there noticed me waiting and helped me get my box even before they opened. I've never seen customer service like that. They went above and beyond expectations today. read more

Worst customer service: rude, arrogant, and dismissive. I've had consistent issues with mail delivery. The representative I spoke with today screamed at me and told me I was "having issues" when I explained I had forgotten to change the address on a package. Phoenixville's customer service sucks. So I lived in phoenixville last year, and had a terrible experience with this post office. First of all, I had tons of mail coming in from the people who lived before me. Why? Because the phoenixville post office was unable to actually help change their forwarding address. I tried to set a forwarding address when I moved, that way I would be able to become aware of my medical bills from a broken collarbone a month prior. First of all, after trying to put the request online, my apartments address didn't even exist!!! I tried calling them, and they said to do it online. I said i did, and they offered NO help. (its not like I could walk in, I moved all the way to colorado). Eventually I got the forwarding address set up, but NO mail came in. (i lived in 115-117 main street, meaning some mail came to 115, and some mail came to 117). I tried to tell them that over the phone, to acknowledge this, and they again gave me absolutely no help. So now the hospitals called a collection agency because I never got my medical bills, and the forwarding address is still really really crappy, and I have to deal with repairing a lousy credit score. Carrier took mail that was from previous delivery. No flag up, but they took it for what reason? Only new mail left in box. You'll need to pick up your mail every day, or it may be gone - compliments of the postal service. read more
