My experiences with this post office for the last 3 years has been great, however in the last week I have had 2 packages unable to deliver due to driveway/porch in assessable, my driveway and porch are wide open! I also have driveway cameras that sense motion, and no motion was detected at the time stated. The 1st package was re-delivered the following day into my mailbox. If it fit in my mailbox it shouldn't have been a driveway issue the day before. The package delivered yesterday was delivered to my neighbor across the street. You would think that a postal carrier, or even a 12 year old would know that even addresses are on one side of the street and odd numbered addresses are on the opposite side! PS like all the other attempts to call the post office directly produces ring after ring with no one ever answering the phone. They will get a visit from me personally tomorrow. I surmise that either the carrier heads back to the post office early and uses this excuse, or he is looking at the wrong house. He must be new because I have never had this problem the entire time I have lived here. read more

The clerks here have always been so pleasant. They've made suggestions that have saved me money and gotten the same shipping window I was looking for. I've been 3 or 4 times, and besides the Christmas rush, service is usually very quick. The parking lot is on the small side, so finding a spot can occasionally be a little tricky. read more

USPS Oak Harbor, huge thank you for your staff for fishing out a letter that slid down to unreachable space near the self service postal weighing machine. You had to dispatch an out of town technician to unbolt heavy machinery from floor and move it to find our missing 66th birthday card to our brother who just was released from COVID ward after 90 days in hospital. Many are very kind and helpful, Ernie is rude and abrasive. Other reviews say the same things about Ernie, I just hope the company does something before they lose even more customers due to this outrageously rude to all employee. I come very often and I understand that the holiday season is extremely stressful for customer service workers but he was out the bat extremely rude and yelled at me when I calmly was trying to see if my package was there. I mean like I had to ask his grown man 3 times to stop yelling at me. He made me cry he was so mean!!! And I work in customer service I wasn't deserving of this employee's actions. This is actually a really big post office. It's a good thing because Oak Harbor appears to be a fairly decent sized town. As it's on a corner, you can enter from two sides of the street so it makes it pretty easy to get in and get out and back out on to the road way. What also helps with getting in and getting out is that they have an automated postal center. So, if you're not trying to wait in line or just need stamps or are just in a hurry in general and you're not afraid of a self checkout, just stop by the APC and get everything done in one place. read more

Some of the most useless staff members I've ever seen anywhere period... lazy and attitudes

Not only has this place "lost" over $1500 worth of packages, they don't do anything to right the wrong. The package gets scanned in and never leaves the building. Where does it go? And sometimes, they hold on to things for a week or so before it's delivered. Why? A week? And USPS wonders why more people use UPS or FedEx? I just wish Amazon let us choose our delivery service. Oh, and forget trying to get a hold of anyone in the office. They never answer the phones. In person clerks are nice but don't have any answers themselves. read more

I was given a card by the supervisor to call back later...if she had stopped talking over me as to why her day was hard and listened to my questions I could have gotten the proper information. The only time I step foot in this place is when I'm dropping off a package in the drop-off box. I will not do anything else here. The line is ALWAYS long, right up to the door. The staff at the counter always take their sweet time with everything, when they know customers are constantly lining up. It's better off using the Click-n-Ship, and that's what I do. read more

Worst post office ever!! Rude employees, they NEVER answered the phone out of the 5 times I called! And couldn't solve my problem when I was trying to fix an accedetal address mistype (it was getting shipped to me and the package WAS IN THE BUILDING) I was just trying to catch them before it went out for delivery so it would be in my mail box! I was looking for a package from Amazon Prime I got a notice it was put on my door step at 11 :38 AM it was no where to be found I live in a townhouse complex ,, It was left at the wrong town house and when I dumped the trash the package was setting out under the mail box's on the street omg the service was awful any one could have picked this up thank god the trash was full or I would Never have found the package maybe the postal worker should check to see the package is left at the right door from now on ... read more

Oh my hate doing business where the employees obviously hate their job. A little/a lot of customer service training is needed here.

RICHARD is the worst employee there. If you go to this location, make sure you don't use him. He's the tall old guy. Would not accept my credit card even though it has my picture on the back and my signature, he asked for two forms of ID so I gave him my military ID AND my drivers license - did not accept my drivers license because it didn't have my signature on it. There he was with my visa (with my face pictured in the back and my signature) and my drivers license and my military ID and was refusing to let me pay for my mail. I have been to this post office numerous times and this same issue happens every time he helps me. Stay away from Richard or better yet find a different post office, this one generally sucks. read more

We needed a new PO box as well as re-directing our mail. The clerk was very polite and efficient and directed us to fill out the appropriate forms. After we had done that, the clerk directed us to go to the front of the line as we had already been through the line once already. We made a request about the location of the box since we have difficulty bending over. He took the pains to find one which was the highest up for that type of box. All of this only took a few minutes. We are originally from California and are moving to Oak Harbor. This is the best experience we have EVER had in a US post office. read more

I will only go in to pick up a package (no other option). Standing in line is a miserable experience, listening to postal employees belittle their customers. They are some of the rudest, most passive aggressive, jerks I have ever encountered. They usually don't give me to much of a hassle because I'm just picking something up and I have my pink delivery slip and photo ID in hand before I even enter the building. I take care of mailing out packages or buying stamps at the self serve kiosk. If I actually need the help of a Postal Service Employee I go to the Post office in Anacortes. read more

What terrible service! I've lived in many states and put up with multiple post offices and this one has to be the worst! Got my mail forwarded and they were still sending it to my old address, then after they fixed that they stopped the families who was now living at my old address and forwarded mine to the wrong address! Then I sent a package and you can tell a box cutter cut through the box and they took off my shipping label, sent it to me in the mail and said they lost my package. On top of all of that they never even answer the phone. Horrible post office. read more
