With high theatre prices, seeing more than one movie for less money is a gift. Especially where you can freely take whatever snacks you want (even if it's a whole meal that you somehow got there). There's also an arcade, so if you need something to do while you wait for the movie to start (other than reading a book or scrolling through social media), that's something.

I do recommend being mindful of the time you arrive holidays, a certain movie premieres creates high volume of visitors. Also bring blankets, chairs, cushions, tents, and whatever else makes you as comfortable as possible to enjoy the movie outside the temperature drops but the movie is much more enjoyable bundled up together outside under the clear sky and stars. This was the perfect way to introduce the theater experience to children who's ages are 5, 3, & 1 as they had the opportunity to play at the arcade, ride go karts, and play in the open field area not being restricted to a theater room. On our way home my husband and I planned our next visit; I highly recommend adding Blue Fox Drive-In Theater to your things to do!

Windjammer Park is located along the waterfront in Oak Harbor. The park is a pleasant place to come even when there is thick wildfire smoke. The breeze from the bay might not completely clear the smoke away, but at least it provides some circulation of the air. My grandma and I like to come here and eat lunch together. We like to sit and eat at a covered pavilion stocked with picnic tables and a kitchen, though the kitchen requires advance reservation to use. A playground is adjacent to the eating area. My grandma likes to people and pet watch as we eat, I prefer to watch the water and try and spot any birds or other critters that might be out. It can get a bit cold depending on the weather and the wind. Even in the summer months, we both bring an outer garment to wear. The parking lot by the baseball fields is where we park and it can get a bit crowded if busy. Still, it is a parking lot easy to maneuver in.

They are wonderful sources of diverse-medium local art and provide shopping opportunities for economical gifts representing life on Whidbey Island. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Absolutely no pressure. Combine it with lunch at one of the nearby restaurants and you are all set.

Sam was a great guide making sure everyone felt comfortable, was having fun, all while being chill and fun to talk to. He fed us so well and took great care of the group throughout our adventure! I didn't expect to eat as well as we did. We camped on a beautiful bluff overlooking the water on Cypress Island. Addie gave us tons of educational info that was cool and interesting. Although we didn't sea orcas breaching over our kayaks like we'd dreamed of, we did see plant life, fish, crab, seals on rocks, and "Ellie Mae" the female elephant seal on shore. 1.5 tour was the perfect amount of time for our day.
