When we arrived she was sitting listening to music on ear phones and finally stood up when we said the purpose of our visit. She continued to raise her voice at me and had a horrible attitude. I have been going to this office for past 30+ years. Recently I have noticed the employees at the front counter do not care about the customers and their concerns. Some of the down right rude and disrespectful. My problem was that o had a package delivered to my POBox by Fedx last Tuesday. I went and check my box for the yellow card, so I could go to the counter to pick up my package. There was no yellow slip in my box. I returned to the office this past Saturday, again there was no yellow slip In my box. I had yo go to work, so I did no go to the front counter to ask s out my package. Today I took time off from work and I went to the office, as usual I waited on a long line and when I got to front counter , I encountered a very rude and disrespectful female employee, who first told me that I had to go to the Fedx to find out about my package, when I told her that the package was delivered here this past Tuesday and also showed her the Fedx's tracking page, she did not understand what she was suppose to do. Her co-worker ( female black) told her that my package was in the back. So she reluctantly walked In the and brought my package and throw it on the counter in front of me. She was the most rude and disrespectful employee that I had encountered in my 30 years using that office. I walked to The young supervisor who was dealing with another customer who similar problem. After she was done with that customer, I explained to her my concerns and asked her why there no yellow slip left in my box last week after my package was delivered to the post office. She looked over my package snd said yes it was a mistake she was going to look into. She did not appeared to be sincere or caring, only saying the right words to get me out of there. I am almost certain that she more than likely just walked away and told her coworkers that she had to deal with another demanding customer. This post office used to have bunch of caring employees at the front counter. I don't know what happened that today's employee no longer want to do their job, and this is very sad. Today I spoke with a supervisor who was a young woman, who said that she was sorry that the employee at the counter was rude snd uncaring, however I did not think that she was actually listening to me, she said what she said to get me out of the office. read more

Okay services. People are rude, only 2 have okay attitudes with their face still showing that they hate their job...anyways came here for passport services with the line being super long around afternoon on a Friday. Mind you they close at 130pm! You will need your social security card, ORIGINAL birth cert, application, passport photo, and your money ready. If you are missing your birth certificate dont worry...they have norwalk recorders office 4 minutes away, down the street for $28. It may be a long wait for retrieval and copy... about a 40 min wait in line, but other than that atleast you have your copy... They dont sweep the floors, but thankfully they had an AC. I was just having asthma attacks in there but whatever... Its a post office in the boring/ dirty side of norwalk...so when I give this place 3 stars..theyre doing their job right...just not happy about it...it an overall...BLEH...AN OKAY. read more

I wanted to send a package to someone, and receive back the green card where they are required to sign so that I would have proof that they received it (for court). I think the green postcard is called "return receipt". Visit 1: I approached the clerk, and explained that I wanted to send the package with a "return receipt" and she helped me. She informed me that it needed to be sent certified in order to get the "return receipt". I agreed to pay extra for certified, and extra for the return receipt. Days later, I got the green return receipt with the words "COVID-19" painted by someone on the receipt. No signature. Visit 2: I came in and explained that I paid extra for the return receipt and the certified classification, and got no signature. I talked with a total of 3 people, who tried explaining to me that there is this thing called COVID, and that is why they did not get a signature. I spent the better part of 30 minutes trying to get them to see, that: 1. I see the news. I know what COVID is. 2. It is perfectly fine that the mail person did not collect a signature because of COVID, but 3. I paid for a service that was not being offered, and despite me paying extra, I have NO SIGNATURE ON MY GREEN RETURN RECEIPT. So it is only right that some of the extra i paid be refunded. I kept saying: "That's fine. I want everyone to be safe, however, if I had known that I was not going to get a signature, i would not have paid extra for this box to go certified and return receipt. No one let me know that the return receipt was not going to collect the signature of the recipient." They kept looking at me like i was speaking a foreign language. I don't know if they were playing dumb, or it wasn't an act. Anyways, they took copies of my receipt and my return receipt, and took down my number for the postmaster. Never got a call. I've had a few problems with packages being delivered (or not) by this particular Post Office. Several packages in the past have arrive damaged, as if someone had thrown them, then stomped on them. My most recent package was shipped on July 10th and showed 'Out For Delivery' on July 13th. Finally had to go down to the office in person, only to discover that my package has been sitting on a shelf for the last 11 days. I'm glad it wasn't medication. As for the location, good grief. There are always beggars outside and the parking lot is always a mess. When I got there this morning, there was trash everywhere (old fast food containers, piles of dirt & leaves, old newspapers, etc.) I thought maybe they just hadn't swept from the weekend yet, but then I saw 2 cars that have been parked in the lot so long that weeds are growing out from under them. The Norwalk post office on Clarkdale cannot get their act together. The instructions on my hold mail request for mail to be resumed never happened. I requested that the mail man deliver my accumulated mail on the date I specified (which was September 22, 2017) but it did not happen.I had to pick up my accumulated mail. To date, the post office still continues to hold my mail. Since September 22, I have been to the post office twice to pick up my mail. Moreover, I was told that the supervisor was going to call me to explain what happened. I never got a call. This is so unacceptable and is such an inconvenience and very poor customer service. They cannot seem to follow instructions. They need to improve their service and get their act together!!!! read more

The service in this office is totally disappointing. Residents of the city of Norwalk, CA deserve a first-class service and not the one provided by this staff. Specifically, the rude girl who attends the passport section, including her inept supervisor, an individual named Cesar. I'm sure they would be much better at washing toilets than attending the public. I ask myself, if they do not like their work then, why do not resign? The users of the mail service require quality services, that's why we pay and thanks to that you have work. Our regular mail carrier is great with handling our pkgs and mail. However, when they're not available, the substitute mail persons leave our packages where it is in plain sight, they do not hide it behind the posts, flower pots or bushes. Not only do they leave it on the porch, the last mail carrier actually left our box ON our park bench by the porch, completely on display for any Porch Pirate to steal. WTH is wrong with these substitute mail carriers, do they not go through training? Can the Norwalk USPS Manager please re-train your mail carriers on how to handle pkg deliveries? Like really, can they just need treat the pkgs the same way they'd like their pkgs to be delivered? We actually had completed a form to HOLD PKGS when owner is not available (i.e. they are supposed to hand it to Homeowner) in 2018 or so, and they were good for a while with that (we'd get a doorbell ring and be handed the pkg), however that might have changed during the pandemic and the mail carriers are not following through with the Homeowners' requests, although I am not sure why the request would have changed. They also have delivered mail belonging to other addresses. I've tried to give these substitute mail carriers a chance to redeem themselves but nope, they continue to screw up often. Note: I've been a resident of Norwalk for over 30 yrs now, I just started noticing the sub-par (it's not always bad) service the last few (~5+) years. So I've given it a chance to improve, it's just gotten worse with each NEW substitute mail carrier (wrong house, pkg left in plain sight, homeowner not notified even with the NO-DELIVERY-if-homeowner-is-not-home form filed with USPS, etc.). read more

I made an attempt to make an appoint today for a passport. I called the number (562) 868-9408, around 10am, several times without answer. I arrive at the post office at 2pm and inquire about a passport in person. Pete, the manger tells me that I have to leave and call the number again that reaches the 3 phones right next to him. As idiotic as I think this is, I understand protocol. I leave and 15 minutes later call again. No answer again, the phone rang for over 5 minutes, then I was hung up on. I called back again and guess who answers. Pete. He tells me that the passport office closes at 1:30pm. I ask him, "Why didn't you tell me that when I was there". He says, "You didn't ask me." When I was there I asked "I am interested in applying for a passport." I believe that my question is general enough to elicit that type of information, don't you think? This is terrible customer service no matter how you spin it. There are other Yelp's for this post office with more realistic ratings, I suggest you read their experiences also. Pete is a civil servant paid for with tax dollars, he needs more for respect his job. By the way, when I arrived he was sitting at the counter browsing the internet, he might have been on break, the women next to him greeted me while I stood in from of him unnoticed until I spoke to him. I see why the post office is doing soo bad. Only one worker over 10 people in line.. no problem.. The only worker was in the back for over 10 minutes and you hear workers dropping F-bombs in the back. Supervision should be fired for letting workers act like that. Waiting in line to drop off a return so I need a receipt. worker calls supervisor for help and says people dropping off packages and three other things line up in a second line. I move over and she asks if we need receipts, yes that's the only reason we were in line. and she reply's I don't know if she can do that go back to your place in line. The Person Told me we do not do that anymore and Basically Insulted me by saying you should have the information in my Files. I was tracking a package that came from korea and i noticed it arrived at the post office so i decided to wait it out a couple of days or so since it is the holiday season. 14 days later I give the post office a call. It rang for minutes on end the first two times I called. Finally someone answered with a meh. attitude, but the 2 stars are for her tracking down my package. Apparently they did deliver it to my house, but didn't leave a notice or update the fact that they did this like they usually do. soooooo yeah, if you ever track a package to here you should be very assertive if it hasn't been delivered. This place is no different than any other Post Office when it comes to appearance and few parking space outside. What made me give this Office five stars is because this place never gets busy. Maybe because its a little hidden close to a residential area but whatever it is I never wait in line longer than 10 minutes here. read more

I do not understand why the Post Office, an entity of our Government would overcharge us an not deliver as they say will. I paid $8.10 each for 3 little packages to be delivered locally to Lakewood, Yucaipa, and Jurupa Valley. The postal worker charged me for next day service, hence the $8.25. As of writing this today, January 4th, 2021 my Lakewood package has not been delivered which contained a gift card! Jurupa and Jurupa Valley were delivered on December 26th instead of December 22nd as promised. On top of that I was charged $2.19 for their packaging which was marked $1.59 their shelf. I paid for a delivery service which was not followed through on, and am still awaiting arrival for a local package to Lakewood, approximately 10 miles from the Norwalk station. I am not satisfied with our local postal service, this has happened too many times and I am frustrated because we as the people who pay their salaries cannot complain, get refunds, or answers as to why this is allowed to keep happening. I called the Norwalk Post Office and unfortunately the phone just keeps ringing! Not good customer service at all! We entrust the P.O. with our packages to be delivered to loved ones during this COVID time and it is a shame they do not care about their fellow mankind! read more

They sold me a money order and I got an email from my bank stating that the money was pulled. They wouldn't give me my money order because it didnt show in their records that I had paid. Like wth! Im on thw phonw with my bank and they twll me thw money was withdrawn from usps, but the post office mistake and now voids my transaction. NOW I have to file a claim and my rent will be late because of the idiots! Worst customer service! They kept my money and I have no money order. An older white man with glasses wasn't of help at all.
