I think I made 2 attempts coming to this US Post Office in Lowell to get my passport done and decided nope, not worth the wait. You can actually get the forms online and it doesn't that long to fill them out and submit it. The passport photo was done at a local CVS, ID photos tend to look like mugshots anyways so don't expect much. It beats waiting in line with 12 other folks for their passport to be submitted the same anyways and will take several weeks until you received it via mail. On a positive note, they have a massive lot here so it's not a pain to drive here for any other postal services. Overall Service: Can the two ladies over here by the shipping section look at least like they care about customer service? I went to ship stuff to my sister over in CA when there was no customer on this side, at the very least, say "good morning". Just move one of them over to utilize the additional staff by the passport section, they really could use the help if they are just going to stand around and do nothing. read more

The worst usps customer service ever. I went down there today got one of my package drop off and asking for the receipt for the evidence dropping off. You know what the lady on the counter say? She told me " IF I WANT THE RECEIPT I COULD JUST GO GET IT FROM THE SALEPERSON " SHE DIDNT even scanned it. And was ridiculously rude enough to tell us that. I didn't say anything to her, you lucky lady because I'm here to complain for your bad reputation. She was so friendly and kinda kiss-ass for the customer before me and was so rudeeee to me. This is the worst post office I have ever been to as a customer. Not friendly. They don't take responsibility for when they make an error. Boxes and packages always torn. Maybe it should be privatized. read more

BEWARE of this post office during the pandemic!!! I dropped FOUR packages off at the Father Morissette BLVD location on 5/4/2020. I always get a receipt when I drop off prepaid label packages. I was told PO is not giving receipts and was told to drop my packages in a drop box. One of my packages has not been scanned four days now. No way going to be forced to drop packages off without getting a receipt. Waiting now to talk to who is in charge at this location. Perfect opportunity for theft to happen and now I have no receipt to prove I dropped this package off. read more

Clerk 10, Annie I believe is her name. She made my first experience at this Post Office horrible. She was rude from the moment I stepped to her window. I asked her if she could tell me the specific day my package would be expected to delivered and she refused to tell me, she kept saying 2-3 days, I informed her I needed to know the specific date because I might need to go a faster service. She still refused. After getting her supervisor she then told me as she made a smart remark about hoping my package won't get to its destination in time. Her being a much older woman I'm surprised to see such nasty behavior. If she doesn't like her job maybe she should start working on her bucket list, doesn't look like she has much time left! Also, tampering with the mail is illegal so I hope she's smarter than she behaves and doesn't do anything stupid. Lastly she didn't circle the survey! read more

Great post office. Easy to find, safe location right next to Tsongas Arena. Plenty of parking, plus they have an Automated Postal Center inside so you never have to stand in line. We found this place after going to the little post office downtown, only to find no parking nearby, no APC machine, and only 1 clerk on duty. This post office offers tons of PO boxes, mailing supplies (though we get ours from the FedEx station and wrap it with brown paper bags) and stamps. If you need to mail something in Lowell, this is the place to do it. It's especially handy after hours when using the APC machine. This might be the only APC in Lowell... can anyone suggest another one? read more

Employees there are unpleasant and will walk away from you mid sentence and walk into the back. Oh and a box 1 foot in front of them can't be touched because of "covid" yea ok. I'll stick with professionals like UPS instead. read more

This post office is going to be where I'm going to start sending all my packages from now on! After going to all these other post offices around and not finding any place to park, this was like a glass of cold water in a hot day. Lots of parking space, very large with very short line. Loved that they were open at 7.30 am. I don't think I've seen that in any other location. Since I'm new to this area I found the neighborhood very charming too! read more

They are kind of nice when you go to the counter, the facility is pretty well maintained and well lit. The middle age man working in passport service counter is rude. His demeanor is condescending and I would never go back and would not recommend anyone applying their passport there. No one expects you to be cheerful, but don't act like a rude miserable old man. He seems ok with the people before us but gave us grief over every little thing, including our handwriting. It may not be nice, but it is very legible. Maybe he's racist towards the younger people, who knows. I decided to grab the application and go to the one in chelmsford. People like him shouldn't be working with people. I guess this place is a hit or miss. Some people are decent and some are just plain miserable. He should retire and not work in customer service. read more

Nice folks. They do a good job, and they are very patient. Sometimes there is a line. I like post offices though, generally. They make me feel patriotic. It amazes me that we live in a country where mail is delievered everywhere, at a pretty fair price. Support your Post Office Union! read more

As I walk in for my first experience in that post office,(to collect a package I have previously purchased on Amazon a week prior to this "event") I was greeted by a older woman possibly in her mid/late fifties). Naturally I greeted her back, she stated "Can I help you with anything" I replied with "Um... yeah I'm here to pick up a package that was delivered to my mom's account is it ok that I can pick it up?" She then started at me with a dirty look Stating "you need to have ID". I just thought "Ok then if you say so" thinking it's pretty reasonable, I checked my pockets to get her ID but soon realized they weren't in my pockets but rather in front of the post office's main entrance. I then realized this and immediately picked it up while having the thought in my head "I'm a fucking moron". By the time I get back to her and show her the ID she then say "You need your mother to be here to get this package", with this I didn't really know what to do and basically awkwardly stood there and said "I can't use her ID to pick up the package?" (With a expression of pure confusion) she again replied with "No you must need the owner of the PO box to acclaim it). I then stood there frustrated, and decided to walk back home and talk to my mother about this. She was also confused and annoyed that they didn't hand over the package even through I had permission AND ID of the person to receive the package. She decided to call one of the employees who was probably around the same age as the woman a elderly man named Peter, and told him about the situation. My mom told me that everything should be pretty good right now and to go in and try to talk to Peter and get the package again, I headed over to the office, I headed back and went up to the same lady that replied with Lady:May I help you Me:Can I see Peter? Lady:May I help you Me:Can I see Peter? Lady:No your supposed to say "Yes you can help me" and then I help you on what you need. Me:Yes you can Lady: what can I help you with? Me:I talk to Peter? Lady:What is your box number? (annoyed tone of voice) Me:Can I use your phone please? (Rude tone)Lady: Hold on I'all get your Peter Me thinking: yeah that what I thought bitch Then Peter comes out stating "are you here to pick up your mothers package?" "Yes, I am" I said happily, he gave me that package and I needed to sign some stuff quickly to get it over with. The same bitch from before than comes back and has the nerve to tell me to "Give a smile". I looked at her and gave her this face basically giving her a piss poor smile because of her piss poor "service" gave me. Basically this place blows, I don't recommend it, and if you just moved to this area, or staying here for a while for vacation or something stay away from this place it does nothing but bring out poor service and tone towards its customers and overall just sucks a big fat one. read more

The people who work at this post office need some serious re-training in customer service. They tend to be rude to customers. They often don't know correct information. They contradict each other. They contradict what the USPS Web Site has for information. read more
