UPS now has a confusing website designed to change your personal delivery address to one of the UPS stores, probably to save them a little delivery cost. But if you make an error you can't cancel it! Then they no longer can locate your package by its shipping number, but simply say that the shipment was "cancelled". UPS cannot be reached by phone. You get a computer that tells you to "press 1" to enter the shipping number, but then just restarts the phone call process from the beginning. I have advised Amazon to use other shippers in the future, as UPS does not really offer package location details. When the Amazon service rep did reach UPS by phone, UPS lied to him about where my package actually was. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. First of all, online it says they don't open until 10 am and I even called to verify that. When I arrived to the post office (at 10 am with an hour drive it took to get there after I worked a night shift at the hospital) I saw the hand written sign on the door that said they are open 11-3. I continued to go in to HR and ask to see if I could retrieve my package given I drove an hour there, will drive an hour home, and also work later that night. The HR rep AND the lady at the counter were so snotty and rude. These hours for a federal building are UNACCEPTABLE for people that work at different times than just the regular 9-5. Same problem as everyone else. Was supposed to get my package 2 days ago. No updates. Had Amazon call UPS and they couldn't tell them when it would be delivered. Made it to this location and seemed to disappear. They're probably stealing people's shit. Luckily Amazon will keep sending replacements until they decide to actually deliver one. I was away for 3 days. I responded to the UPS email by instructing them that I would go to the UPS-center and pick up my package. I followed their suggestion and tracked the package the next day. It said package was waiting for me for collection at the Chelmsford location. I went in today to collect my package. I gave the young lady my Tracking number. After about 2-3 minutes she came out and said that they did not know where my package was. Someone in the warehouse would look for it. The location became busy with up to 5 people waiting for help. Unfortunately there was only one employee on a busy afternoon. About 20 minutes later another lady comes in Lindsay. She told me "I don't have to give you my last name" in response to me asking for it. She said they had lost my package and nothing could be done until Monday. I explained that the tracking number was supposed to prevent packages being lost!!! I asked if I could possibly get it Saturday. Her response " I don't know I'm off Saturday. When I asked to speak to her boss she called the security guard. I had my 15 year old son with me. I was dumbfounded. This was possibly the worst customer service experience of my life. This is an odd place. You have to go here if you have missed your UPS pickup and they have given up on trying top deliver it to you. Firstly, it is in the middle of nowhere, its desolate, you feel like you are driving to Area 51. Secondly, they have very strict rules here. Parcel pickup is only from 8:15pm till 9:15pm. You have to stand outside the building in line till exactly 8:16pm (the UPS guys watch is running one minute late) before they let the line move into the building. This is rather unfortunate if it is below zero degrees or snowing heavily. So if you ever mess up and are not around for your UPS deliveries that require signatures and it is winter, bring a warm coat and stay in the car till close to 8:15pm. Don't do what I did, which was skip the jacket altogether, thinking I would be the only person in Area 51 at that time of night and stand in line shivering to death for 20 minutes. read more

They lost my package with a $2500 laptop in it. And after I ask Newegg to file a claim the package somehow shows up in their Customer Center 2 weeks later. And they update it as "Delivered" and received by me. I chatted with them over 10 times about this shipment. From the "miss attempts" at 11 am during the workday for a package that doesn't need a signature and doesn't leave any notice, to the shipment got lost, to file a claim and "Package Search Complete - Package Not Found", it showed up on the system as received by "me". Having a very bad experience with UPS shipment from Chelmsford, MA facility. Had an email notice on Monday package would be delivered on Wednesday by 9 P.M. I could find very detailed information regarding the package's whereabouts up until Wednesday morning. I was told the package had left the Chelmsford facility at 8:51 a.m. The package never was delivered. Since Thursday when I try and track the package it just says "please check back later for schedule delivery". So, I have no idea where the package is and when it will be delivered.
