There was a 45 minute window between the times I checked the mailbox. First, it was empty and then our mail and you "missed you" notice appeared. During that time we were sitting in our front room with the front door open, and the screen door closed. No one knocked, rang the doorbell or even stepped on our property during that time. So how did the letter carrier miss us? She didn't. She lied. Again. On multiple occasions, we have received a notice that an outgoing package was picked up from our porch when it was still sitting there, forcing me to deliver it to the post office myself. I don't think they should offer a free service picking up packages and then not show up and then lie about it. Our litter carrier has a difficult relationship with the truth. I went to the post office to claim the registered letter that we "missed". The only lady working the counter had no interest in helping me whatsoever. She summoned a supervisor, who is actually quite helpful. I can see why he is the supervisor. He met me with empathy and assured me that this was not the policy of the US Postal Service. He also said that he would speak with the letter carrier regarding our situation. So far, so good. Nothing has come up since, but it's only been a few weeks. I hope that there are no issues going forward.

I explained to her what options I chose online and she let me know that wasn't an option. I said but it was. She said on my 8 years of working here you are the first person to ever say that. I said well is there someone or somewhere that we can submit a complaint that for online address changes that what I clicked, shouldn't be an option. She said no. I said I can't be the only one to click that. She then repeated that isn't an option. Finally another worker came over and asked what was going on. She started to explain but then changed what she said to me. So I corrected her and said no, you said that wasn't an option. Basically calling me a liar and making me feel crazy. So I said I'll pull it up and show you. At this point I need you to know that is an option so in case another person comes in. She waited. And there it was. She goes if you click it, it won't let you proceed. I showed her that actually it does. I did apologize many times during saying I know the system isn't her issue. But her attitude is. Did she apologize for her attitude or for being wrong and making me feel crazy? Of course not!
