It is a little tricky getting into here if you're not from here. You have to go down Water St and then turn on the one way Park St to get into the parking lot. Service here is usually ok. They have busy times but the staff is helpful. They try to get through the crowd quickly. There's only one lady that got on my iffy list. All others were great. Post Office-Regional Dist. - 110 N Chestnut St Olathe, KS 66061 they will get negative zero rating and beyond if I could. Absolutely pathetic beyond belief. I shipped my package Priority mail from Long Beach, CA and was supposed to arrive in Joplin, Missouri on Monday 12/22/25 and it is now 12/24/25 9:45pm Missouri time and package is still not there. I've been watching the tracking (SEE BELOW) as you can see where it is stuck at. Incompetent Olathe, KS Facility is where they are lagging and seems it stayed there all dang day on the 22nd. This is unacceptable and I am going to make claim against them and start an investigation on this post office seeing all the bad reviews of how terrible they are. Postal workers should understand that this is government at the highest level and should do their job with integrity, being lazy and lame is no excuse. This has got to be the worst USPS hub in the country!! Every time I have a package coming I choose the overnight shipping option because its worth the $20+ to not watch it hit Olathe and then spend the next 5 days in transit to the next facility!!! They either hire the most incompetent people on the planet, or they take joy in knowing people are losing their minds waiting for their packages to arrive. They should just shut down this facility and build a new hub for mail to be routed through the region because this is pathetic!!! read more

My package I bought on E-Bay came from CAMARILLO 93010 California to Milwaukee, Wisconsin but never arrived. Last seen at US Post Office in Olathe, KS. After weeks of waiting and inquiring with both E-Bay and USPS, I was denied a refund by E-Bay. Would leave zero stars if I could. I spent north of $200 on a rush-order for a passport after losing my old one. Filled out all the paperwork, completed my appointment, and otherwise did everything asked of me. Only to find out via snail mail several weeks later that there was an additional form I was never made aware of that also needed to be filled out, that I had missed the deadline to fill out said form, and there's no way to get refunded for the rush order. This debacle derailed my family vacation, which had to be canceled as a result. I made another appointment to get a new passport. There was nothing that said the paperwork couldn't be completed at the counter. In fact, when I entered and asked one of the drones behind the counter if it could be completed during my 15 minute appointment, she said yes, in fact, it could. As I'm filling out my paperwork, one of the other USPS lowlifes with no more than a second grade education informs me that, even though I've reserved a 15 minute slot of time, and filling out the form will take me no more than three, I have to leave immediately. I truly hope each of the inept and overpaid employees of this vestigial organ of our government are happy with what I'm sure is a very fulfilling career path. I for one know how happy I am that my tax money is paying their salaries. read more

Highly disappointed. when I got there on Thursday I told the older gentleman I needed to send the package out and needed them to get there by Sunday, so he said priority mail. Almost done, I see 2 day shipping, so I make sure to mention again "so this one will guarantee them there by Sunday?" And he said "no, it'll be Tuesday" so I said "can I do overnight then, I need to get them there by Sunday" so he gave me attitude and said "it'll cost you and arm and a leg. And I have to do everything again" ... I started the WHOLE conversation with "need them there by Sunday". And above that, told him the package was important, and well look at how it got there. If anybody has suggestions on any other services that will CARE about packages, please let me know. read more

It is the end of day 3 dealing with this post office. Lost package, carrier swears she put it in the parcel locker...it was too big for the locker. There was no scan completed to signify it was delivered. Rob or Jerry said, really busy, sometimes they forget to scan. But still no package. Called multiple times to talk with Post Master Cindy. Always busy, and never calls me back, believe me I have asked her to. They have told me for 2 days that they are going out to the subdivision to check into it, but have yet to get a call back from Jerry! They changed their story when my sister went to the post office this morning claiming maybe it was put on the porch...a note would have been left in their mailbox. No note, no package, no delivery scan..and they were home all day. Package was mailed on 12/18 - Priority Mail. NO ACTION, just plenty, plenty of excuses. Totally incompetent!! read more

Honestly do not recommend sending mail through this post office, if I could give it zero stars I would. I run my own business and pay for full shipping for items and constantly get my items sent back to me so I have to repay shipping. Every week we experience either our mail was delivered to a neighbor up the street or we receive a pile of mail from someone on the other side of Olathe. The carrier that delivers on Wednesdays comes late in the afternoon, usually after 5 p.m., and drives like a maniac. There are many children in our neighborhood and I fear for their safety. The real problem is that the USPS is a monopoly and we have no other choice but to use them. Horrible service! read more

This place SERIOUSLY needs to hire more people who KNOW how to do their job or just shut down completely. The rating is for the delivery service. We have been receiving other people's mail and packages had been delivered to the wrong address! This has been going on for several years now and mostly happens when there is a substitute delivery person. Yesterday a large envelope which was clearly marked "Do Not Bend" on both sides was folded and squeezed into the mailbox! In the past, these envelopes had been dropped off on the porch. I can't tell you how horrible my postal carrier is, but I am going to try. I live on 126th Terrace. First of all she is one of those people that you know hates her job because she never smiles and will barely even talk to you when you greet her. My wife and I have done everything we can to be kind to her. We can even take her cookies for Christmas and put them in our mailbox with a note. She has repeatedly delivered the wrong mail to us even though she knows that person no longer lives there. We found our mailbox broken one day. It look like she had hit it with the vehicle.One time we didn't get mail for almost 2 weeks because I guess they thought they just didn't want to deliver it anymore. They told us that is occupant had to stop. But we lived there now how does a previous occupant have the right to stop my mail? read more

One worker went out of her way to process our passports in a timely manner. We appreciated it very much.

We get misdirected mail at least once a week. I often wonder how much mail being sent to us never gets to us. This is the worst mail service we have ever experienced. Unfortunately, we're stuck with the USPS. I am also disgusted with their "saturation" mailing service that delivers tons of junk mail to every home in the area, including heavy glossy magazines I have no intention of reading. read more

Personnel in this Post Office are rude. I initiate a temporary change of address to direct my mail here every year and mail is never delivered without a visit to the Office. This visit, the staff said someone must have changed it back, (not true), but "I fixed it!" When I asked how this could have happened (since I didn't reverse my change of address order), the clerk said (in a shouting voice) "look, I said I fixed it, that's all you need to know." I asked to see the post master and he said "she's not here." This is a persistent problem with this location (and not other Post Offices)-they do not update change of address information in their system or with their carriers. read more

I would not recommend this post office at all! They will never go out of their way to help anyone!! I send out several packages a week my computer went down and they would not do a manual pickup. They said that it depends on the carrier and if he would want to pick them up! And he did not show up!! I'm disabled and I certainly cannot stand in their long line whenever you go to this Post office!! Only 2 workers at best!! :( read more
