    destroyed package

Highly disappointed. when I got there on Thursday I told the older gentleman I needed to send the package out and needed them to get there by Sunday, so he said priority mail. Almost done, I see 2 day shipping, so I make sure to mention again "so this one will guarantee them there by Sunday?" And he said "no, it'll be Tuesday" so I said "can I do overnight then, I need to get them there by Sunday" so he gave me attitude and said "it'll cost you and arm and a leg. And I have to do everything again" ... I started the WHOLE conversation with "need them there by Sunday". And above that, told him the package was important, and well look at how it got there. If anybody has suggestions on any other services that will CARE about packages, please let me know.

One worker went out of her way to process our passports in a timely manner. We appreciated it very much.

It is always so busy on saturdays and the attendants move very slow. No wonder the post office is going broke.

I wanted to give this post office some love. I use this PO the most to drop off my packages and…read moreother various tasks. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but the line moves quickly and everyone I've encountered there has been very nice. I love the PO and it's still one of the greatest institutions created. I wish people working from inside the government weren't trying to destroy it from within so they can privatize everything and make more money. So yes, services and people have been cut back and prices have gone up. It's on purpose. Yesterday, I saw one of the young women there having a really difficult time with a customer. She had called for a supervisor but the guy refused to leave her window. I didn't catch the entire interaction. Even when the supervisor came out, he still refused to leave the window and she was trying to wait on me as the next customer. The supervisor finally got him to move over and I interacted with her and told her I could tell it had not been the best day. We sort of got a laugh out of it before I left her window. She was very nice to me. Interestingly enough, I could hear the conversation between this guy and supervisor beside me. He began telling the supervisor he was just trying to get his mail held so he could pick it up and she wouldn't do it. But by the time I left, I heard him say to the supervisor, "she thinks I'm trying to get my ex-wife's mail" and I realized the lady was trying to protect another customer and it sounded like a woman who may be having problems with an ex. I don't know the whole story but if that was an accurate situation, I'm glad someone at the PO cared enough to at least check into something before doing it! Support your Post Offices!

There was at least three or four clerks, and once I got to the counter, the postmaster was so friendly asked how my day was going so helpful. This is very rare and I completely forgot thank her but hopefully this makes up for it.

I waited in line, got to the front, and two agents opened up. I stepped to one, and the person behind me stepped to the other. The one I approached didn't say, "I'm not available,"--she just walked away. The other didn't say, "She's not available, let me help you,"--instead, she helped the person behind me and then seemed to take her time on purpose. When it was finally my turn, I asked for some tape to attach my label (something I've done many times before). She handed me scotch tape with an unspoken "risk it." No apology, no mention that they didn't have proper tape, and no suggestion that I could purchase some. I had to look around myself and found tape for sale. I bought it, stepped aside so the next person could go, and taped up my package while she watched with a smirk. When I handed it to her, she just tossed it over her shoulder into the bin. Honestly, that was one of the worst customer experiences I've had in a very long time.

First of all, the post office interior is adorned with photos of active, retired, and late military personnel, which I thought was very respectable. While waiting in the line, a postal worker came by and asked anyone if they needed stamps or just wanted to drop off a pre-paid package. She helped speed up the line, and was also really friendly! She even asked the occasion for the stamps and made sure to get ones that matched the festivities (flowers for a wedding and Disney for a party). I made it to the counter just 15 minutes later and Paul helped me! He was very kind and informed me about the shipping options, so I could send off my sister's present for the best price (and fastest time). Sure going to the PO may be a drag, but if I must, I will be coming here!

The only time you see them is when they are about to close. Then they come out to just take easy orders like picking up mail or dropping off. Management is horrible there and they don't mind leaving that one employee (usually the last one through the door of employment) to do all while they do zero. They run out of things like stamps etc. I felt like I was in line at a communist country. And management's arrogance over nothing is unmatched. I always feel sorry for that one employee left with zero help. Shame on management at this office. You are horrible and should not even been ever promoted nor paid as you don't do anything to help your employees it customers.
