Today is 12/12/24 and I came to ship some Christmas gifts and I'm always nervous about how busy the post office may be and today it was just maybe 5 people in front of me and it's about 3:30 p.m. it was easy peasy and my checker Ms. Ginger(bread) was super great and professional. Terrible! I talked to a lady on the phone and was appalled at how rude she was. USPS needs to reevaluate who they hire and especially who they have answering phone calls. Very disappointed in our own government. Didn't help me at all. I am trying to find a package they never scanned, it has been over 2 weeks and nothing. I hope they didn't lose my package, but I don't have a lot of hope after reading the other reviews. Never coming back. read more

Visited here this week and the lady that helped me was great and very helpful. Thankfully I went during the day on a Wednesday so there was almost no wait. I do think they could upgrade their parking lot as its littered with massive pot holes and has been for years. I came here during a pandemic a week before Christmas. It was packed and social distancing was not being enforced. The 2 employees they had on staff were trying their hardest to keep up with the crowd and to keep cheery but it was too overwhelming for them. simple solution - put more people on staff over the holidays. I was nervous to come here because there are so many bad reviews, but was in a hurry and didn't have time to go to my normal post office...WOW! I am SO glad I found this post office!! The nicest woman helped me; she has been working at this branch for 14 years and was an absolute delight: knowledgable, kind, helpful, and understanding. She found a great solution for my large envelopes that was cheaper than most other post offices. Like most post offices, this one is overworked and underpaid. The average wait time if you're dropping in after 4pm is roughly 20 minutes to half an hour to get through the line. After having been in this location about 3-dozen times, the self-serve kiosk is spotty in its functionality at best (the credit/debit card reader isn't great and if you're shipping to an apartment, the enter address screen can be difficult). The parking lot is a one way, but people routinely drive the wrong way and nearly cause accidents. Great design in theory, but terrible in practice since people, by in large, are dumb and terrible drivers. This location gets bonus points for the people working there, because they're great and willing to go above and beyond to help you ship your packages. But like every other government funded deal, it's painful and that's all there is to it. read more

At the time of my visit, I was picking up a package and decided to purchase a book of stamps, but that's not why I'm giving them 5-stars. I'm giving them 5 -stars because I like the initiative the Lenexa post office took putting up a preventative measure against COVID-19. I have gone in to pick up packages and do a passport in previous years. There is always a wait but service is friendly. Today I called about a missing package and they were beyond friendly. Took my information and tracked it down with a phone call back apologizing. Package was in my box that afternoon. read more

Really nice post office, it's rather large, though they don't have as manny pepole to help as they used to. usualy only 1 or 2 pepole to service everyone even when it's busy. Though the pepole are rather friendly and helpfull when you do get to a window to be serviced. It's usualy easy and quick to mail things as long as you know where it's going and have any paperwork filled out. Evrything I mail ends up safe and sound and never had any problems at all with it. It does have anautomated postal thing but I have never really used it. It also has quite allot of po boxs as well. Definitly worth using, just try to avoid the rushes since they are always under staffed. read more

I have lived in Leawood Overland Park Roeland Park Shawnee Waldo Brookside in my 50 yrs of living in Kansas city. Living in Lenexa and receiving mail from this post office has been the worst. They destroy mail cramming it in our box and have even dumped packages rather than find our house. They full on SUCK! read more

I like this post office. Maybe I just happen to get there at the right time or the right people are working when I am there. They usually have enough people working when I go in and I take a lot of work packages here to ship. One day I walked in with over 50 mailing envelopes the flat rate kind it took me two trips. One of the guys that was restocking the box and envelope area saw me coming in with the 2nd batch and said next time drive around back to the dock and ring the bell. They would be glad to help me unload my car of packages and not have to wait in line or drop them in the mail drop inside, since they were all metered. We have a neighbor that is elderly and has a P.O. Box there and when the weather is bad we will run over and get their mail for them. The 1st it took me a while to find the box and a different person that was working there noticed me and asked if I needed help and helped me find the right P.O. Box. I have done Passport paperwork and pictures here and never had an issue. Now I admit during Christmas is gets hectic and you could wait a while, but overall, I think this is one of the better Post Offices. read more

honestly they are always rude here. i've had very few good experiences with the workers here, and i am here on a weekly basis. they act as if you are inconveniencing them. when this is literally their job. especially when it comes to certified mailers. will be going out of my way to a different post office my next visit. read more

Lenexa, KS Post Office on Monrovia doesn't answer their local phone number listed and the only other option of 'general customer service phone no' - puts you on hold for 45min plus. No other option like an EMAIL (21st Century common sense) to send concerning carrier not delivering mail to the correct BUSINESS mailbox. read more

Avoid this post office at all costs ... head to an alternate location even if it means driving a bit further. The automated postal machine hasn't fed my postage twice now, yet does charge my card. I've called both times & my most recent experience with a Brian was awful. He asked three times what I needed after placing me on hold each time, only to tell me there's nothing they can do. It isn't just this Brian character with a bad attitude, which prompts my posting, but rather each person I've had contact with at that location. The line is constantly out the door...and while maybe a bit short-handed, most of it stems from the ppl being slow & not caring about their customers. Go to another location where the ppl are grateful to still have their USPS jobs, where you're greeted with a smile, they understand your precious time, and you receive a thank you upon departing. read more

Monrovia post office took my mail from the lock box and took it back to the post office . I had been ill and the mail had piled up. They drove right by my door to take it back to the post office. They left a note in the box that my mail had been returned to the post office. Well I went directly to the post office to get my mail ,which no one could find. I called them for days after that with the same answer . They couldn't find it! Never did find it. I know my dogs licenses were among the mail they just could never find. Very rude and very poor service! I didn't know the post office could get by with losing a weeks worth of mail. read more

This post office does not have enough help. The people are ok, but they can't service customers in a timely manner. Also, you can NEVER get in touch with them; they leave the phone off the hook. If you pay for tracking and the USPS never tracks it, you don't get a refund. Sure once or twice isn't a lot of money but it will add up after awhile. If you ask any question, the answer is always there's nothing we can do. read more

It is now Thurs.6/1. I called last Tues. 5/24 to inquire as to why i had not received any mail for three days. I talked to Cindy and she said she would do some checking and call me back. I am still waiting for her call. Last Wed., 5/25 I called and talked to Sonia since it had been four days and I had not received any mail. She said she would check and call me back. No call. I also told Sonia that I had received a piece of mail for an address in Lenexa bear 87th & Pflumn. Not even close to my house in O.P. She said she would call the carrier and have him pick it up. I still have the piece of mail. Today is June 1 and I did not receive my grocery ads. I had stopped at the P.O. a couple of times in the past to try to get this problem corrected. Both times the men on the counter went into the back and tore off the addresses on the ads and gave them to me. IfI there is an address on them should they not be delivered to that address the same as any other mail? This P.O. has been a source of irritation to me for the past 10 years. read more
