It's been a while since my last visit -- and honestly, I'm glad to say things have improved! For items that require a signature, the pick-up process is now super convenient. They have a separate pick-up window right next to the kiosk -- just ring the bell and someone actually comes out within minutes. Love that! The location is still the same -- clean enough, plenty of parking, and close to home. It could use a little more lighting at the counter area, but overall, service feels smoother and friendlier than before. I'm still steering clear of renewing my passport here (let's not relive that fiasco ), but for drop-offs and pick-ups, it's been great lately. Hopelessly old and dirty. We went to have our fingerprints taken for a criminal background check for an international visa. The first time we went, the employee in charge of this never showed up, despite having appointments. The second time, she was there. But her uniform was dirty. She was rumpled and her hair was snarled on the back of her head. She was incredibly rude, but I had to let her touch me. I've only had good experiences at this post office. The people are courteous and helpful. I've sent many packages from this place. Responding to other commenters: It's not dirty. Post offices handle mail. They're not expected to be aesthetically pleasing. It's clean and well lit. Easy to enter and has a items displayed and easily accessed. Why blame a post office branch because you didn't get your birth certificate back in the mail with your passport? That's not this branch's fault. Why should an employee open the door for you after they're closed? And as for a substitute carrier (not courier) doing something to your dog, that's not the post office branch's fault, that's a problem for personnel. Zero courtesy. Zero accountability. Again, I just had a notice that a tracked parcel was delivered and it was NOT. I was sitting in my living room with the mail box just outside the door. I heard the mail drop, then got the text message, but a few seconds later, when opening the front door, the mail person had dashed off without leaving my tracked parcel of medications. Online assistance has gone AI and is totally useless. No-one at the USPS was picking up the phone. I'm going to write my review before reading any others about this post office, but I can already tell why it has such a low rating. I had a few packages I needed to send out with pre paid labels on them. One of them felt a little heavy so I wanted to make sure I had enough postage on it. There were only two employees working the counters when I went. The Asian woman called me over. Instead of a plexiglass divider, like the ones they have at the bank, it was a fogged up shower curtain with tape acting as the separator. The layout is strange because I still had to reach around to hand her my packages. She takes them and says, "Oh no. You need to pay more for this one. This isn't enough," rudely. We had an incident a couple months ago where a temporary courier entered our property and then kicked our neighbors non-threatening elderly dog in the face, while also having the nerve to attempt to claim workers compensation after no harm was done to him. (Everything was caught on camera). Our mail was withheld for a month without formal notice, so all the tenants suffered from this and no one was notified that we needed to pick up our parcels at this office. I personally was waiting for an important letter that had never come until we found out late what had happened. Our mailbox had to be moved out of our lobby and onto the outer gate in order for deliveries to commence, where since then it has been vandalized and broken into, subjecting our mail to theft. All this stemmed from the violent actions of a temporary courier and the negligence of this office. read more

My mail that I dropped off, which included some checks, were stolen and forged after I dropped them off at the York Post Office box. After reporting this information to the York Post Office employee, I was told that I needed to go to the Eagle Rock post office because they are the ones that handle the mail. I went to the Eagle Rock post office and had one of the worst customer service experiences there. I spoke to a woman who worked there about my situation and I asked her if I could fill out a report about my stolen mail/forged check since my bank encouraged me to do so. However, the worker said that there was nothing they could do, and seemed to brush me off. I again inquired if there was some way to document this and she looked at me like I was bothering her, even though no one else was in line. She ended up scribbling a number for me to call and just told me to call them. I can't believe people like this are in a customer service type of position. At the very minimal, I wish this employee had acknowledged or apologized that this happened to me and offer the phone number to call instead of having me pry that information out of them. This location is actually my favorite within the Pasadena/Glendale area just do to the size of the faculty and ample parking. This review is about Hsui. I do not go to the post office enough be reviewing anything else! We went in there to get my son's passport. Hsui was apparently in charged of not just handling post office duties but also taking care of people getting their passports. She was a perfect example of efficiency. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes and that included me having to take time to fill out the form. read more

This is one of the quicker post offices in the area. PASSPORT Just had a great passport experience with Hsiu. You must make an appointment online. It saves time and you won't have to touch as much stuff if you use the online form filler on the state department website in advance, print out your filled out forms at home and bring them. But if you can't do that, they have the forms at the post office for you to fill out. I had gotten a terrible photo at a photography place in Glendale. Hsiu took a much better photo of me, and also took a good photo of my baby. She helped us through the application process. The one star off is for past issues, mail being delivered to the wrong address, not being able to reach anyone in the office, etc. read more

If you need to get your passport, don't do it here! The miserable lady (older Asian woman, be warned!) here was SO unhelpful and frustrating to talk to. I brought a certified copy of my birth certificate and she didn't believe it was real. Gave me such a hard time about it and said it may not be accepted if she submitted it - it's the same certificate my mother had paid for to acquire from the hospital when I was born, the same certificate she used for my school records and previous passport. I took time off work to come here only to be met with such a rude, disrespectful person and my trip is next month. It's usually expected that service at these governmental offices will be less than pleasant, but this one really took the cake as the worst. If i could give them negative stars, I would. Update: after the worst post office experience of my life here, I went to the USPS in Glendale. They take walk-ins Monday through Friday. DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT HERE. They messed up my application on multiple levels....did not tell me to add the expired passport in my application nor did they review the application thoroughly to make sure it was filled in correctly. I paid hundred of dollars to have it expedited back in MARCH. I still have not received it and it's impossible right now to get an appointment at any government office in the entire US. I brought packages to the counter to be scanned last Saturday (12/4/2021) at 9:00am. There was only one person (Asian lady) at the counter who spent a great deal of time chatting with the customer ahead of me. When I brought my packages up, the counter clerk said that she was there by herself and would not scan my packages. She told me to do it myself in the lobby. This post office is the worst In terms of customer service, all enteractions with staff have been very unpleasant since becoming a client here for nearly 2 years. Rude and unhelpful staff. I have complained various time about my missing mail, they have no clue where it is, apparently they are always short staff at the office and mail carriers. Low enough to always lose my mail. Worst post office that I've ever dealt with. A couple of the employees in this place are so rude. They have the worst customer service out of any other post office that I've ever been in. I even had one of them yelled at me and mumble stupid under his breath. Unfortunately I live in the area and this is my post office. They loose mail all the time. I would give this location negative stars if I could. The employees here take incompetence to a whole new level. It doesn't matter if its the employees behind the counter, or the employees delivering mail in the neighborhood, if these people worked in the private sector, they would all be fired. I just spent the last four days trying to pick up a package that I was tracking online where the delivery driver falsely claimed he or she came to my home on three separate days which were all blatant lies. Adding to my frustration were employees behind the counter who told me one time that my package could not be delivered due to my agressive dog, and then told me the next day my package could not be delivered due to a locked gate preventing access to my home. The only problem with those moronic excuses is I don't have a gate in front of my home, and I don't have a dog! And whatever you do, make sure you do NOT drop off your outgoing mail in their drive through outdoor mailboxes located in their parking lot. The crackheads living on Figueroa in the tents under the freeway have rigged the drive through mailboxes with a sticky substance that catches your mail when you place it in one of their outdoor mailboxes. Next thing you know, if you were paying a bill with a check, your check will be altered for much more than you wrote it for, and the payee will be changed to someone else as the tent city crackheads on Figueroa steal your money. This is the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. Everytime I'm expecting a package and its vcoming via USPS this post office always claims my packages are undeliverable due to the address. The address is correct and I never have issues with regular mail being delivered. This is the 3rd time this post office has sent back my packages in under 6 months. And when I go to make a claim they always say there is nothing they can do and to contact the shipper. The shipper is not the problem. Its this pathetic post office. UPDATE - 11/27/17 - FOR THE FIFTH TIME THIS POST OFFICE HAS LOST A PACKAGE THEY CLAIMED THEY DELIVERED TO ME BUT DID NOT. I AM NOW OUT AN ADDITIONAL $50! ABSOLUTE WORST Post Office I have ever dealt with. They have now lost FIVE of my packages - claiming they were delivered when they were NOT. I have had mail and packages delivered to someone else or otherwise "lost", and their response is always "oh well... nothing we can do". Recently, I spoke to Sanda repeatedly, for two weeks about a package THAT THEY ADMIT THAT THEY DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. She kept telling me that she would try to find my package and would call me back, but she never did either. Finally, after two weeks, I talked to her manager, Tania who told me " oops ...nothing we can do". Tania also told me that I could try calling the station manager but it was doubtful that I could ever reach him. I don't have my package and I am out of the cost of the package. The manufacturer won't refund it because the tracking shows that it was delivered (even though it was delivered to the wrong address) ALSO - For three years I have been receiving mail that doesn't belong to me and is addressed to people at different locations. Numerous calls over the year fix the problem for a week or two and then it continues. If you call them about a problem, they will give you the runaround for weeks, promise to call you back, but never do, or put you on hold for 20 minutes. I have had to pay for a post office box and I now travel to pick up my mail to ensure that it actually comes to me. My P.O. box is NOT at this post office. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS POST OFFICE, BYPASS TALKING TO ANYONE HERE. IT WILL DO NO GOOD. Go straight to the national site USPS(dot)com and file a complaint there. The people who work here are terrific. They get 5 stars. However, it was over 90 degrees outside today, and the AC was not on. I don't know how they expect their employees to function in such a hot space, especially since they have to wear masks. ZERO STARS Postal worker by the name of Hsui was very rude on more than one occasion. I asked for a receipt with my packages, and she almost refused to provide one. I explained that one of my packages was lost at this location and was told by the supervisor to obtain a receipt whenever I deliver a package to protect me incase any other packages were lost. She told me I needed a scan sheet when I asked what it was and how to get one she told me she didn't know. Then how am I expected to know what it is? She then proceeded to get loud and speak over me. This is my post office of choice. I've frequented this location for years. Have never had any issues. Until today. All I have to say is their worker "Tamia"(yes I asked her her name) needs to fix her damn attitude. So rude when I asked her to scan my prepaid label. Yes I know I can leave it in the prepaid area but I've had packages get "lost" so I feel safer when they scan it in for me. Tamia had the biggest attitude when I asked her and made me feel super awkward like I had to give her a whole explanation on why I wanted her to scan it in. To break the silence I asked her how her day was going. No answer. Even more awkward than before. To top it off she scanned it and left it on the counter.
