I came here to ship out some packages across a couple states after being told it would cost me over $200 to ship them with another package delivery service. I was struggling with finding the best box sizes for my packages and was not expecting the amazing help I received after entering this USPS. An employee named Ryan saw me struggling with figuring out which boxes would be most appropriate and showed me a way in which to combined 2 boxes to get the best fit for the cheapest cost for shipping charges. He was very generous with his time, advice, and assistance and even offered up some of his tools and some old boxes he found in the back to help me with the process. After getting the boxes to the most appropriate sizes, I was assisted well at the register as well with great help and quick service. My experience at this USPS was amazing that day and the staff were great at what they do! read more

This location is the worst. They try and close and lock the doors before 5 pm discouraging folks. They are always out of product the lobby is a mess. And the outside is atrocious. They removed all the beautiful trees and now let weeds grow rampant. Who is the post master here? Yikes... smh read more

Be prepared to call 30 times to a busy signal. If you can get through, they're very helpful. A much better phone system is needed.

Parking is easy, and once you get inside, the space is well laid out according to each task and customer's needs. Above all, I was thankful and grateful to see the staff treating customers with dignity in mind. read more

I love this post office. It can get busy but the staff are so friendly and patient. Some of my favorite postal workers and I so appreciate their patience with me when I go as I am confused often due to a brain injury. The same staff are always working and they are great and willing to answer my questions and find cheaper options too when I don't know the best shipping option. I used to work for a company who had a post office box here too and never had an issue. Great location since I don't drive. I also had an issue where my husband dropped off something this morning to be shipped and then found out it didn't need shipped and was canceled, I was able to get it pulled and able to reship it correctly. Saved me a ton of hassle. read more

I went in today around 4:30 pm - All 3 staff members (two older men and a younger red haired woman) were loudly discussing someone they all knew, using derogatory slurs and sexually explicit language. There were multiple customers in the post office and the employees made no effort to be discrete or lower their voices (not that their behavior would be ok if there were no customers!!) kinda shocking actually, didn't expect to hear words like that in a post office! read more

Let me start with.. i love my post offices... post masters rock... this one location is a tad bit iffy.. If i could start over i would have never used this post office... (it's difficult to say since i usually love dealing with post offices) It was a pleasure once Mai figured out the existing policies and procedures... and started following them..nevertheless i do believe this isn't the first or is the last time these issues will arise... As with all institutions.. its from the top down... i do believe if the postmaster at this location followed the procedures and policies that are nation wide that are implemented by the adjutant.. half of my issues would have been completed... which was actually only one simple issue... but due to not following procedures.... was a lengthy ordeal...nevertheless i do love and are very thankful for our post offices. read more

I'm completely dumbfounded by how many negative reviews this post office has. Every time I come here it is nothing but an amazing experience. The employees are so friendly and willing to help; even when I needed to send off 100 wedding invitations. I can trust when I come here I will have a great experience. read more

A trip to the post office isn't often the most exciting adventure ever, but I love the Hillsboro post office for its friendly and efficient employees. I try to avoid going at lunch time because there always seems to be a 15 minute + line at that time, despite the employees doing their best to move things along. If you can manage to avoid the line, use the machine to the left to print your own postage. You do still have to wait in line if you want to use media mail or send out an oversize package. Be polite to your local post office employees! read more

Quick friendly service. I've never been in and out of the post office so quickly. Mid afternoon (2:45 pm) is the time to go.

The service I received today from Mai at the Passport counter was nothing short of rude, disrespectful, unhelpful. I was at my appt 30 minutes early when she informs me she will be taking a brean. I wait 30 minutes and when I approached the counter, she informs me that I am missing a document. I explain that I had the Aloha post office check the documents and called the federal Passport office for confirmation before arriving to ensure I had everything and they confirmed I was set. She was short and gave me zero grace. I understand the requirements, therefore had my partner leave work and deliver the missing document in under 20 minutes. When my partner was halfway to the post office, Mai rudely informs me that her lunch starts right at 12 and will be unable to help me, mind you, I had been there since 11 and had she helped me before or right after her break, we would've discovered this error. My partner arrives at 11:50 and again, Mai is unwilling to accommodate and raised her voice at us . Her entire approach was so appalling that even my 10-year old son was absolutely shocked. My son, who had to be pulled from school for this because he was required to be there for his passport application. I respectfully asked if I could stay and see if there will be a gap in her day and again, Mai snapped at me saying that she will not help me. Leaving in tears, I approached Tammy at the front desk (the only saving grace, this star is for you Tammy!) and she was kind and informed me that the County office next door can also process Passports and may be able to assist me, information that Mai did not think to share. I called the County office and they were excellent and understanding of my situation. I hope Mai's supervisors see this review as she is in dire need of empathic training. read more

My boi jonathan that works here helped me a lot funny guy best worker ever. He recommended a lot of things that I didn't know like the free boxes and very helpful. He deserves a raise the only thing I didn't like was I sent my package last week he did his job I don't blame him just that my package didn't come the day it was supposed to. read more

This post office is one of the most incompetent locations that I have ever dealt with. I have had a po box there for over 2 years in order to have a secure location for my mail to be delivered to that I can access when I get off of work. I keep being told by employees that mail is delivered in boxes by 10:30 am. That is a total lie. I have gone at 11am, 2pm and 4pm to find an empty box only to check it again at 7pm to miraculously have mail in it. Then, they decided to shorten the po box access to only business hours for a few months because of homeless people sleeping in the building. My po rent was not compensated yet my access to my mail was severly impacted due to my work hours. So infuriating! Couldn't they just hire security? But most importantly, they have lost and/or misdelivered at least 4 of my packages in the last 2 years that I am aware of. Those 4 are packages that I had tracking for-God knows how many pieces of mail I have never received. I cannot wait to move so I can be in a different postal service area. read more

I've mailed about 100 items that I've sold on eBay over the past year through USPS--today they sent back an item for insufficient postage, even though my buyer paid plenty and the weight was listed correctly. Maybe UPS or FedEx will get my future business. read more
