Documentation can take awhile but they're pretty short staffed and have to deal with disgruntled customers pretty often. I can in to request a lockbox replacement and was told 5-10 business days and it took 15. Not much communication and hard to reach a rep over the phone so had to come in again to get an update. read more

Worst USPS location. Go to a different one. They do not have retail services (won't ship anything for you and you wont be able to buy boxes or stamps). Basically just a drop off location. This place has lost my business once and for all. I've lived in Hillsboro for four years and this post office has lost 5 packages of mine in that time. That is over an average of one package per year. So guess what happens at a post office that doesn't scan in your packages when your packages go missing? Guess what they do for you? They shrug their shoulders and say "if you didn't get it scanned we can't track it. Sorry." Um, you don't scan packages. I'm supposed to drop off my packages and just trust you. Well, after losing my latest $75 item I've finally had it. My item is gone and not only that, but I have to refund my customer for the item AND the shipping cost. So I'm out $85 and my item is just... poof... gone. Someone there is stealing. I've never had packages that I take to other post offices stolen. If a package is scanned in at the time of drop off, it never disappears. I have been selling online for over 20 years and this post office is the only post office that regularly "loses" my packages. Well, we all know the post office is a necessary evil, but their service has really gone downhill. Not to mention (but I am anyway) the fact that they don't treat their employees well. The delivery trucks are aging rattletraps and don't have heating or cooling - depending on the weather - to keep the postal carriers comfortable. It's no wonder the post office is hiring! YEAH WELL, i shoulda listen to my fellow yelpers about going here. it's a shame that this location offers customer service and clearly has made no effort to improve. don't get me wrong: i respect postal folks, but come on. if you're allowing people to come in, can you at least think about our perspective? if they're more distribution focused, awesome, idk why you have folks come in. the designer in me, after i was told i was in the wrong place, wanted to ask if i could redo their signage. a bureaucratic nightmare. just tell us so i don't stand in line for an hour (i came 45 mins after opening) behind only 7 people for one clerk! i felt for those behind me -- there were like 15 people when i left. Awful! I placed a request to pickup the key to my mail box after I moved in to a new address. I checked in at the post office after few days to see if the key is ready for pickup and they responded that the key is yet to be delivered. 20 minutes later, I get a phone call that the key is ready for pickup. What an awful place. Generally I don't have an issue with USPS, or having to go to a post office. This place is like the Upside Down of post offices. The only public entrance takes you to a dreary little room where a single employee stands in a half-door and puts you through what seems like a test of merits and wills to see if you deserve your mail. There is no computer that they look at, no official uniform that they wear-- unless a lanyard and a t-shirt openly advocating the overthrow of the federal government counts as an official uniform (as I saw on my most recent visit 10/17 at 3:30 pm). It's usually just one angry man, staring out of a half door, seemingly daring you to make his day. The only time he smiles is when he gets to tell you no. I watched him attempt to shut down customers in front of me, or tell them something that was obviously false, and they would have to sass and battle back in order for him to get out of his royal doorway to go check for their personal affects that they are legally entitled to. One lady was so disabled that she had to sit in a chair because she could barely stand on her own-- even she had to sass the man. One man made a request and showed his official USPS form to the worker. The worker gave him a totally false answer and the customer shouted back "As is indicated on the form !!!!" The angry postal worker frowned and disappeared for a minute and lo-and-behold the customer had a giant bucket of mail waiting for him. He refused to help me as well. I had been called by Evergreen DCU to let me know that they had attempted to deliver my mail and that it would be waiting at the Evergreen DCU post office (where I was standing, talking to the angry man in the half-door). I had my ID and package pickup form with the correct everything ready. He gave a half smirk and without checking anything informed me that my mail was not there. No further explanation. One hour and fifteen minutes wasted time. I dread going to this post office so much that I would rather pay $50 in shipping costs to deal with anyone other than USPS for large packages. We have things shipped to us via UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc all of the time and never had an issue. The only time I ever have a problem with mail is when we have to deal with the Hillsboro Evergreen DCU. We have mail show up on our informed delivery all of the time that never makes it to our house (we get a photographed preview of our mail before it gets to us) -- including a brand new social security card at one point. I don't know what on Earth they are doing over at the Hillsboro DCU, but USPS higher-ups should probably check in. The t-shirt the gentleman was wearing is either extremely politically partisan, which is disallowed for post office employees at work (Hatch Act) or goes so far as to advocate for the overthrow of the federal government. The contemporary interpretation of the shirt worn by the employee is almost entirely associated with government overthrow. Advocating for the overthrow of the US government is a violation of 18 U.S. Code § 2385, so at the very least, it's entirely inappropriate for public-facing work as a federal employee. And public-facing is beside the point-- post office employees are not allowed to wear partisan shirts on post office property, period. As someone from a military family who was raised to honor and respect the flag and the United States, I'm totally appalled. Get your act together, Hillsboro DCU. read more

Got in line to mail a package at 6 minutes till closing; the guy at the window said "You won't make it" and told me to go to 185th (a 15 minute drive). The two guys ahead of me finished with a minute to spare, but he came out and told me I needed to leave as he was locking the lobby. Other PO's I've been to, they let the last person in line finish the transaction; not here. He said "I'm not kicking you out;" yeah, he did. The irony of this was if they hadn't changed the shipping machines and demanded the shipping address, phone #s, emails, etc, this all would've been so much faster. This place is a total joke. They never answer the phone and they also lie about trying to deliver an item and saying the have no access to the delivery location. I know they have access to the delivery location because a. The leasing office saw them in the building yesterday, b. They have a key to get into the building as well as the master key for the mail boxes, c. They have been delivering my mail with no real issues since being given the key to the building with only minor issues, d. They say they will attempt to redeliver next business day and it's not updated on the system saying out for delivery again. E. They delivered mail to other residents as well as the leasing office so why couldn't they deliver my parcel or leave it with the leasing office. I think that about covers saying whomever tried to deliver my parcel is a moron since they definitely had access to the building and where seen in the building. Grrr read more

These people are rude and condescending. My mail box is more than a block away from my house and I don't always pick up mail every day. I receive NASTY notes in my mailbox if it gets full and small packages are shoved into the SMALL box. It's not the mail carrier's place or business to shame the owner of the box, but to deliver mail. There have been MANY problems with lost mail, missing keys to larger mail, LATE mail, smashed packages and so on. I will be alerting the main post office about their rude and impolite handwritten notes. Highly inappropriate and not warranted. Now I have to go all the way over to this office to pick up my mail. ANd by the looks of the reviews listed, this entire site including carriers have major issues dealing with the public. read more

I have been selling items online for years, I make multiple trips to drop off packages a week. 90% of the time, I purchase the label online and drop it off. These packages have a barcode already on them, when they are dropped off, an employee is to scan them so the tracking can be updated in the system. This post office failed to do that for every single package I've dropped off. In total, I dropped off five over the span of trying this location. The first time I dropped off three at once, one box was too big so I had to knock on the door to physically hand it to an employee. Absolutely NONE of these items were scanned upon acceptance, their tracking was updated the DAY it arrived in the state it was to be delivered in. This has NEVER happened in the five years I've been doing this. For a few, that took over five days. After four days I was calling the customer help line, but the automated system REFUSED to let me speak to a person, because my package "had not been accepted." I tried for a day to call, then I emailed customer service and it took three days for them to reply, by that time they had arrived at their states, the ONLY tracking that showed up, and were out for delivery. I received a survey about my customer service experience the second day of waiting for a reply, the actual reply came the third day. The hell? I paid for priority shipping, they failed on all those aspects and made me look bad to my customers, their reply was "it looks like your packages were delivered, let us know if you need anything!" No refund. And can you believe, thinking it was a fluke, I tried once more with another drop of two packages? Guess how that panned out. I have never, ever, needed to watch any post office scan my packages. All these years at any post office I've dropped at, the system updates the next day. At my old locations, I would drop off packages at 1am and not have to worry. I should not need to physically stand there to babysit them, they should be doing their job. After that I went to the 185 location, way further than this for me. Customer service is absolutely no help as well, hope you don't get your packages lost or else! Also, not sure why yelp has only a few reviews, google this location and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. read more

This is a great location for a full service post office, however, unfortunately, it is only a minimal location with a self help machine. This location usually has all the envelopes and boxes you need, and the staff are helpful if you need to pick up your residential/business mail from the call window. They need to place a full service window here with new employees dedicated to sales and acceptance!! read more

Unfortunately there was a long line I took my 14 year old grandson to pick up his mail had a pick up ticket we arrived around 3:30. After a hour wait finally inside a gentleman was complaining about his neighborhood mailbox was broken into. Was very upset about where and how he was getting his mail plus a lot of mail was in the street. Also stated main post office sent him there to handle his complaint. Felt bad for that fellow. Dark haired gentleman at counter took his pick up slip (visibly shaken) went in back stated it was a $9 postage charge cash only. I gave my grandson cash. We left around 4:45 a large line had formed. We headed to store my grandson opened package it was the wrong one. Stated return to sender without my grandsons name on it. We were heading back but it was closed by then. Oh my gosh I was so upset for not double checking it also to start allowing my grandson to do something for himself. Trusting the employee I had no idea it was a error. Now we're having to relocate it I didn't receive a receipt he kept tracking slip I called the post office 1hour later got call center was told we had to go back to Alocleck office. I noticed there's only one person on late shift while others were leaving. That's the time an extra employee is needed there to help out since it's one of the busiest part of day. I know it's tough times right now with all the changes. Main post office should be able to handle difficult situations instead of overloading the small office. I Respect the USPS and all the hard working employees. Please don't over load them with the extra stress which Leads to mistakes being made. I will try and locate his package God Bless LB read more

We drop packages off all the time here with no problems, pre-paid postage and print at home is the best. Parking lot is always full and limits customer parking. Probably employees using the spaces. It is primarily a sorting and distribution facility and not a full fledged post office so do the expect to much. They have a APC... Automated Postal Center for purchases. read more

I have no idea what is up with this freaking post office. It's not even a full service shop, just a window where they do the minimal stuff, a self serve kiosk, and drop boxes -- no passports, no manual postage. But it always takes an eternity for anything anyway. My main complaint is that I've had my mail on hold twice now while on vacation. I always ask to have the held mail delivered. It never shows up. I always have to go to the this post office myself to get it. The first time, I waited two days and it never showed. I called this post office and the woman tells me my mail is there. I go to the counter and am told it's not there, rather gruffly. I go outside, call again, confirm I'm at the right place. The lady on the phone gives the mail to the counter person this time. I assumed that maybe this was a one off, but no. I'm here again, waiting in an insane line to get the mail that I didn't get yet again. It sucks this is the post office I'm stuck with because the Aloha post office has been way better. read more

If you just need to drop off pre labeled packages or use the self serve kiosk, then this is a very convenient, non crowded location. However, if you need assistance go to a larger post office. This is barely a post office, it's more like a lobby with a giant blue door that I've never seen open. I usually just use the kiosk and I'm in/out in no time. Plenty of parking. read more

This place has the rudest clerks i have ever came across to make this clear it's the 2 guys that work the counter, They treat people like crap and the tall guy with the pony tail and the goofy eye thinks he's the POSTMASTER and i talked to another post office and found he is NOT the postmaster he's just a rude person who thinks he is the boss NOT went into pickup the package today and he told me i couldn't have it tell tomorrow, even though Tracking shows it was there. I could not TRUST this USPS anymore.. I track my package and it says was delivered in my mail box at 8:15 AM. I checked and it was not there. Unless this mail man is still asleep or lazy before posting the package that he delivered with out delivering it first. I have no problem when picking up mail or packages cause I do it very rarely. One time the guy on the counter was wearing one of those plastic mustache glasses thing and I thought it was weird.. anyway.. I often send packages abroad for my business and request for a pick-up. A lot of times they don't come at all. I can't call them as well, all I get is always busy tone. This is a bare bones, minimalist post office. If you're looking for counter help then go elsewhere. In fact, if you need to do anything except drop off postage ready mail or buy stamps - go to the one on Eider or Aloha. This location is a US Postal Distribution Center not a Post Office so its services are limited, and it claims to be nothing but what it is. I always have my packages scanned, and they arrive to their destination on time f not early. The clerks at the window are always polite and take care of what ever I need in the way of shipping or receiving a package. They even take my international ones and it is clearly posted they do not have to. I think this location does a great job and I have a reliable, dependable carrier. They even say "Thank You" when they help me and I do not get that anywhere I go and spend big bucks... They do a great job. read more

Counter service sucks no matter what day or time you show up. On-line it says there pickup window is open from 10-11:30 & that is a lie! I showed up at 10:05, the sign says it is open from 8-10. They apparently don't answer there business line. I've waited on the line a total of 16 minutes, listening to the line ring. This behavior is consistent with other reviews documenting terrible behavior. The reason for my attempt to call them? .....the postal carrier has stopped delivering mail to my street address for some reason, and I just want to find out why, and if they are holding my mail for some odd reason. Excellent service from the Postal Service! I was waiting for an important piece of mail to come, and called to see if there was any way I could find out a time estimate the mail would delivered that day to my neighborhood. Josh found out the information and let me know that it was going to be delivered a little late today around 4, but the mail carrier was there, so he could see if he could grab my mail and I could come by and pick it up with an ID. He sure enough got it from for me, and I was able to drop in to get the piece of mail I was waiting on. It was a check and I thought I would have had it by Saturday (it was Monday), so I was able to deposit this check into the bank, and pay some bills that were due. Had them forward Mail. Never happened. Went in and they said its up in Seattle and it takes 7-25 days. 20 days later no mail forwarded. Unasked them to get my mail out of box. I guess that was too much to ask. Three days after received my mail. Make sure when forwarding you have 14 days or more to spare. Call all of your contacts that send you bills and change address that way. read more

Would literally rate this place negative 5 stars if that was a possibility. I travel a lot for work as I am a traveling relief staff member for my company and frequently go out of town last minute or for long periods of time. 75-80% of the time I put mail on hold, have to go pick something up, or need to go in and have them do something IT NEVER HAPPENS. And every time they make a mistake the response I get is "I don't doubt you but I have no record of that." So much mail lost or misplaced, no help at all from the staff, and to top it off the driver frequently puts my mail in the wrong mail box at my apt or put my neighbors (several of them not just the one closest to my box) in my mail box...one of my neighbors got my passport delivered to them. So important and private personal information isn't safe. Glad it was neighbor that knew me and not someone who wanted to steal my info. He bends things, rips envelops when he unceremoniously stuffs them in the box, and I have watched him drop mail on the ground while he is delivering and then not notice it and drive off...we live in a complex that has outdoor unprotected mail boxes so anyone can pick it up. If I had a choice I would have any other post office location deal with my mail but sadly I have no choice so I will be forced to deal with the rude, uncaring, incompetence that is this post office and delivery area. read more

This Post office is the worst....no mailboxes out front for drops during non operating hours. Line is always long, and when the post people do open the closet door that they operate out of, the list of excuses for how they don't have this or that, or why they can't do something is long and after a couple times tedious.
