It's right up there with going to the DMV or for some people, even the dentist. However, I don't think it's fair to give this location a one or two star rating simply because going to the post office is generally a pretty miserable experience for everyone no matter which way you slice it. That being said, as far as post offices go, I feel like this is one of the better locations. I've never had a bad experience that related to any of the people who work here. If anything, it's only been because of having to wait for a while due to there being more people needing assistance than there were employees available to help. But that's just the nature of the beast. So if you have to stop by a USPS location anytime soon, I just want to say a) I'm sorry for your loss, and b) go here instead. It will make the pain a little more bearable, I promise. The owners were generally service oriented, wanting to win long-term customers The employees at the location were fine. AJ the owner seems to be pennywise and pound foolish. I hadn't taped up the box and his policy is to charge two dollars for tape. That is clearly his prerogative as a business owner. He got his two dollars of profit from me a now one time customer. My experience made be wonder how UPS vetted their franchise owners -- so that they didn't risk tarnishing their brand. It also made me wonder why Zappos's would use UPS for their returns versus their parent company Amazon's own return system, which is so much more customer oriented. If I choose to use UPS again, it will be a different store, but more likely will pick an alternative

There was only one person working so it took about 30 minutes for me to get to the front of the line. I overheard the worker saying they are understaffed. Customer service was not great. The worker was rude, impatient, and seemingly burnt out when I got to the counter and needed to ship off a box. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location.

Unfortunately, the interaction that followed was both unprofessional and upsetting. The associate responded in a condescending tone, asking, "Do you know how to read?" and repeatedly quizzed me on the labels in a way that felt demeaning. While I understand that I had selected the wrong envelope for a ground shipping label, the way this was communicated was inappropriate. When I asked what I should use instead, I was told I could purchase an envelope and tape and that I should "come back more prepared," with a suggestion that I use materials from home or at my workplace. At the time, I was the only customer in the store, so there didn't appear to be any external pressure or reason for the dismissive behavior. I don't mind paying for necessary supplies, but I do expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. This experience left me feeling very uncomfortable, and I was genuinely upset by the interaction. Due to this experience, I will be avoiding this location in the future. I hope management addresses this, as customer service should reflect professionalism and respect at all times.

They are totally helpful when I have done a shipment…read more They are also totally helpful when I have had a shipment held at this Lake Oswego location, in order to have a secure pick up of a valuable parcel. FedEx systems also manage shipments better than brown. They hold shipments in a secure location such as this at no additional charge, easily with their on-line app. On the other hand - - - Anytime brown does anything extra, they want to charge you more, even when I am having a shipment held for pick-up and by doing so, I am saving them from doing an an extra trip to do a delivery with a signature required parcel. Brown is stupid beyond belief in this way. I wish everyone used FedEx, they are so much easier to work with ! ! ! Note, also, I have never had FedEx damage a shipment, and Brown has damaged a significant percentage of shipments they have carried. I actually bias my purchases from companies that use FedEx and avoid dealing with brown. . . .

**An update to my previous review. After doing everything…read morein my power to make sure delivery isn't by FedEx when I purchase items I had no choice. My package was reported as "out for delivery" on a truck yesterday. I waited all day. At the end of business they sent a message that it wouldn't be delivered till today. It is again "out for delivery" and says it will be delivered between 9-1pm. I tried calling, I tried writing to make sure it will be delivered otherwise I need to pick it up early tomorrow so I can travel with it. No resolution other than "wait and see if it's delivered". The ratings are for the service itself and it doesn't seem they've addressed it in any way. Have had zero issues with UPS, USPS and all other delivery services. Always issues with delayed deliveries from FedEx once the packages arrive at facility for delivery in Oregon.
