This is not the usual USPS location I go to but out of convenience, I stopped by on a Friday afternoon. There were about 5 people in line in front of me. There was only one person working so it took about 30 minutes for me to get to the front of the line. I overheard the worker saying they are understaffed. Customer service was not great. The worker was rude, impatient, and seemingly burnt out when I got to the counter and needed to ship off a box. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location. read more

I visited this location to mail a small clothing item that could easily fit in a small envelope. I selected a Priority Mail envelope and politely asked the associate if it was the correct option to use with my prepaid label. Unfortunately, the interaction that followed was both unprofessional and upsetting. The associate responded in a condescending tone, asking, "Do you know how to read?" and repeatedly quizzed me on the labels in a way that felt demeaning. While I understand that I had selected the wrong envelope for a ground shipping label, the way this was communicated was inappropriate. When I asked what I should use instead, I was told I could purchase an envelope and tape and that I should "come back more prepared," with a suggestion that I use materials from home or at my workplace. At the time, I was the only customer in the store, so there didn't appear to be any external pressure or reason for the dismissive behavior. I don't mind paying for necessary supplies, but I do expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. This experience left me feeling very uncomfortable, and I was genuinely upset by the interaction. Due to this experience, I will be avoiding this location in the future. I am sorry to say this place hasn't improved. Been coming here for years ( 18 years ) Unfortunately the service and postal workers here seem overwhelmed overworked maybe understaffed. I have come as many as 3-4x this past 3 weeks their overall customer service was quite unfriendly and gave one a feeling of not being welcomed. One worker ( bearded ) was quite rude and seemed unwilling to help. They don't so much smile at you but instead more like a smirk? They speak to you as if you're a bother and give you an attitude. So disappointing as we as customers are only there for a short period and we don't come out with a pleasant experience at all. We are only there to give them business to send letters and parcels to love ones but yet we are not treated with respect... instead like a nuisance. I'm new to mailing things via usps, and Helen is always so helpful and nice to me. I have major anxiety going into stores, especially ups/fedex/usps, but I'm so relieved when I see her there. Impatient. Seemed mad that I didn't exactly know their process. Actually took a bit longer because she had me questioning whether I wrote the address correct - Google maps said I did. Then she said out loud as I finished up (maybe 90 seconds?): "Too long. One person one minute." I have lived in Tualatin and operated a business here for 26 years, relying on a PO Box at the Tualatin Post Office to receive a large number checks from clients for the services we provide. For the first five years, the service was exceptional--friendly, helpful, and had a genuine neighborhood feel. However, over time, the quality of service has significantly declined. Around the 6th year, was a noticeable lack of consistency, with high turnover among Postmasters and increasingly poor customer service. Over the past five years, the issues have become more severe: mail routinely goes undelivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, deliveries take up to 10 days to reach my PO Box, and the worst incident involved 32 customer checks being "lost" for over 55 days and then suddenly being delivered. When I sought an explanation, all I received was, "It just happens." Today further solidified my frustration with the USPS, particularly this post office. In October in an effort to reduce costs, I downsized my PO Box from large to small, which required a change of address. While the woman who assisted me was helpful with the paperwork, she forgot to block my old PO Box, resulting in continued mail being delivered to the old box rather than the new. I still had a key so I was able to access the box and pick up my mail. Two weeks later, I worked with another employee, who was also kind and proactive, quickly identified the mistake. She went above and beyond to block the old PO Box and personally sorted my mail to the new box until the forwarding process was complete. Despite her efforts, the situation remains unresolved. It has now been six weeks, and I'm receiving less than one-third of my usual mail, with an average of only 3 per week of which have the yellow "forwarding" label on them. Tuesday, I raised the issue with a male employee, his response was both unhelpful and astonishing. He explained that they "don't have time to look at every envelope to forward mail," even though both PO Boxes are within the same building. Instead, mail gets sent back to Portland to be returned to the sender. When I expressed concern that this impacts my cash flow, he shrugged his shoulders and was unconcerned.While I understand staffing challenges, his dismissive tone and lack of empathy were unacceptable. This ongoing mismanagement and poor communication has directly impacted my business operations. Timely receipt of client checks is essential, and the repeated failures of this post office have caused unnecessary delays, frustration, and financial stress. The USPS must address these issues and improve both its processes and customer service to restore trust and reliability. read more

I came in to mail a package for an item k has sold on eBay. I needed to take a photo and video of the package once stamped for the purchaser as proof of the mailing. When I video taped the package on the scale and moving into the mail bin the female mail clerk being the counter started berating me saying "you don't trust me" and yelling that I did not need to take her photo. I explained that it was not a photo or her and only her hand was in the photo. She stormed off to the back as there were thankfully no other customers beyond me. I could hear her angrily ranting to her coworker in the back that I took a photo of her. It was a horrible experience and I was really shocked by her emotional/angry reaction. She did not even want to listen to why I took a video and that my video did not have her in it beyond her hand holding and moving the package. Is there a negative star? Horrible Customer service. My husband's meds locked in the package box and key was stuck. Called for assistance. Finally get a call the next day saying I must not know how to open a door with a key...lol..what bro? Door was tampered with initially and tried explaining we've had multiple issues. They lost my important documents even though I told the clerk I'd need to mail my documents the best way possible. I couldn't understand her thick accent and she was very rude on top of it. I have to spend at least $600 and a lot of time to replace my documents now and that would take at least 6 months if not longer. Very very disappointing read more

I've gone to this location many times as I live about 5 mins away. Lines are long and there are usually two gals working the counters always talking about "well, I'm going on break as soon as I can.." I don't mind it because I never really need anything major, HOWEVER, I recently had to mail out a rather large package. Not knowing my options, I went in and tried a couple different boxes and found one and taped it up. I went to the counter, the woman confirmed with me I had the right box size, right postage and my package would get there in 3-5 days, as I paid for the appropriate postage. Went out of town and came home to find the box (almost opened and crunched)return to sender due to "lack of postage". Went back to same location, was given a hard time because "the box is the wrong size;I should have known better, the postage fell off.." it was an UPSETTING customer service exchange. Wanted to charge me the $50 postage charge again; just wasn't a good experience. Think twice before sending precious cargo via this location. Side note: I went to the Lake Oswego location to see if they could handle their mistake; they weren't able to (due to buying postage at Tualatin) but NO LINES, VERY FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL. read more

This is the WORST post office. Everyone else seems to have problems with the service desk people; my gripe is with the speed with which mail goes out and comes in. I don't know what they're doing behind closed doors in that post office, but it's taken over a week for mail to be delivered to me from Southern California, and vice versa. I pay for Priority Mail that doesn't get to SoCal in 3 days. I mail a card to someone and a week goes by without delivery. My husband sent a CD in a small padded envelope to a friend in So Cal and it took ten days to get there. Ridiculous. If I could leave a NO STAR rating, I would. With all the complaints, you'd think something would be done. I plan to contact the postmaster general. I wish everyone who has a complaint about that place would do the same. read more

I went into the Tualatin post office today. Surprise! No one was there. Usually there are long lines. At the counter there was a sign that said "ring bell for service" but there was no bell anywhere. Pretty soon a woman came out of the back. I smiled and said I couldn't find the bell. She just looked at me with a stony stare. I asked about postage for a letter I had to mail. I tried several times to ask about the rate so I wouldn't have to make another trip as I am elderly and it is hard for me to walk. She cut me off everytime. She would only address the letter I had to mail not give any information about weight versus rate. I have never been treated so rudely but I see from other reviews that it is common customer service here. No one has ever been friendly or helpful when I have gone into this post office but I have never been treated this badly before today. read more

I think it is time to make a change at the Tualatin post office in terms of customer service. This morning I witnessed one employee treating an elderly lady so rudely that I have decided I have had enough. The employees are consistently rude at this post office, unwilling to help or offer even decent service, and it's all acceptable because they work for the government. Well, a change needs to happen. The city of Tualatin is a nice place to live and do business in and around. However, the post office does not even come near that standard when it comes to customer service. In addition, the property looks awful all the time, grass is not mowed or weeded, etc. I have been coming here for 18 years, but feel it's time to move to the Sherwood post office if this situation continues. read more

If I could write a negative review I would. I had to mail a 14x 14 box, and the male counter attendant saw me taping my box with " priority tape" which was the only tape put out at the counter. I waited 2 people in line, to have the male attendant say " your total is 59 dollars after mailing ". I asked what was costing so much and he said" you have " priority tape" on the box. I asked where the plain tape was and was told. We have " rolls here for 4.99". I couldnt belive I had to BUY a roll of tape for one box. He told me he would have to re do the transaction" if I changed the tape because the regular tape could " weight less". Its like they like to see how much they can push you... and Yes you feel like you are in a Seinfield episode. I peeld off all the tape, and he told me to " write the address it's going to" on the box. I went to the counter again, to have him measure the exact same measurements he had done 4 minutes prior and ask the exact same questions. I asked if he had a pen I could borrow because now he told me that my return address wasnt on the box. He said. no, there are pens on the back counter. Now there were 4 people more in line. I told him that I was on a quick lunchbreak, only to have him stare blankly at me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE.. they have the absolute WORST customer service on the planet. WOW, are these employees angry or just mean?! Marea left us standing as the ONLY person in line, and when she barked that she was finally open she was INCREDIBLY rude! We were sending 1 small package. She read a thousand questions with regards to the content, which was totally fine... but then directed us to click a button on the credit card machine (we were paying w/cash) .. we assumed it was to confirm her questions, BUT when we checked the wrong box to confirm her instructions she angrily said, "THIS TIME READ THE INSTRUCTIONS"! Clearly she loves the confusion this simple step causes... cuz it was the only time she actually looked out under glasses. This rude curt attitude is typical at this post office, I always have hope that maybe this time I'll get someone that doesn't act like they hate the world, but it's never happened and was confirmed today! After 12 years of living in my house, the Tualatin Post Office determined that the street I lived on was "unsafe" as it was next to a "Do Not Enter" area next to a school. Without any notification whatsoever, they decided that they'd stop delivering my mail. I only found this out after complaining about non delivery. There was no "work with you" attitude at all - I was told that I had to move my mailbox to a neighbors area (which doesn't seem feasible with power/water issues) or open a PO box at my expense. I don't understand how they can get away with this - without any formal notification. To just decide that your mail (bills, medication) will stop being delivered without 1) telling a customer, or 2) working with them to find a reasonable solutions is beyond my comprehension. read more

This is by far the absolute worst customer experience ever. They always have a line to the door, they have 3 employees you can see and only 1 of them works the entire slow line. They all see there is a long line of people and they still ignore it. The asian lady here is a complete bitch. She was very rude and almost made me go in back of the line. Wish I could give negative stars. I absolutely only go here if no choice. HORRIBLE employees and practices! I took a card envelope to have it checked for postage due to no note in corner "this may take extra postage". Sure it needed another .21 to mail! And then I had another card with stamp with no extra postage note. Clerk took it and weighed and said I owed additional .21 on it also! I would've placed in mail and it would probably have been sent with no issue. Asked her and she said "maybe they would've checked weight and required receiver to pay the difference! Crazy! Not oversized or anything. I've been told a price for package and then when they finalized purchase they have increase amount. I also have two times been told I have to sign back of credit card or they won't accept! If I'm signing it in front of you, there is no way to know if I am that person. How ignorant. I don't sign card because you should check ID. They don't even look at ID. Refused to sign and paid change for purchase. Took my card and bought stamps out of machine! Also slow slow slow service. Mail at Tigard post office gets out of state faster. And I realized after leaving that I was shorted $1 in cash after paying. read more
