It's a post office so I can expect a long line, but I can't stand their poor customer service. I have never met any nice or normal customer service there. If there are any kind workers, I feel sorry for them for having too many grumpy coworkers. read more

A necessary evil. I really despise coming here, but with family (relatives and inlaws alike) all around the world, we find ourselves in here once we stop neglecting our loved ones because we're avoiding the chaos of the post office. I'm glad they have the kiosk for smaller packages. Saves a lot of trouble. I can't say I'm ever impressed with the pricing on international shipping. We sent some cashmere scarves to some cousins and an aunt in Israel and the shipping actually cost more than the scarves by quite a bit. Sending gifts to the mom-in-law an sis-in-law in Canada gets to be excruciating. But like I said, it's a necessary evil. read more

I have never in my life had the problems with the U.S. postal service I have had in Gresham. Mutiple occurrences of lost mail, mail in wrong boxes,and even left the mail boxes unlocked after putting in the mail. I have talked to the postaster 3 different times,nothing has changed. 8/11/17 I just talked with the Postmaster at Gresham post office (Brandon); said there's garbage in the parking lot as well as near the front and side doors; looks like a small homeless camp was there; no landscapre maintenance on property; also asked when the large pothole in the drive-through and exit was being fixed. Asked if he ever entered through the front or side doors; "no" usually don't. He'd aid he'd ask the custodian to look at the problems with garbage and landscaping on property; and he didn't know about the "pot hole" issue in the drive through/exit. Geez, wonder why this is an "eyesore"......the employees NEVER use the entrances where their customers enter.......it's disgusting to say the least. Seems it'll get taken care of when we complain to someone above them; that's what it took about 2 or 3 years ago and the grounds and landscaping probably haven't been touched since that time. Yep, my mail doesn't even get here until about 6 pm when the regular carrier has a day off. The regular carrier gets our mail here between 1 and 3 pm regularly. It's a shame they get paid for what they do. Rude is the best conclusion I can say about the person I talked with; i.e. don't even get a "thank you" for your concerns. Bah Humbug! read more

I recently moved to Gresham and have encountered a new and disappointing experience. In the past four months, mail that I have dropped at the post office or in the box outside of the post office has not arrived. The first incident was an important piece I mailed in November that was in a large envelope dropped inside the post office. It had more stamps on it than it needed. That piece of mail was never received. After talking with numerous people, I concluded it was gone. Either it was lost or delivered to the wrong person who never returned it. This happened two other times with bills I was paying. Last Monday I dropped 12 red envelopes in the box outside of the post office. They were rubber banded together. Eleven of them were delivered. The 12th was a Valentine for someone in Gresham that never arrived. I am now placed in a situation where anything that is important will need to be sent by certified mail. read more

After frequenting the Gresham Post Office for the last year, I have to say that if it weren't for Sam, I would give it two stars. I first noticed Sam around Christmas-time, and he was a ray of smiling sunshine and worked with enthusiasm and efficiency. He still doing great! If all the employees were like Sam, I would give it five stars. As it is, they have no smiles to offer, nor do they work efficiently. It seems like they couldn't care less and there's usually a long line. Once, on just a regular day, the line went all the way to the door! If you must go to this office, it's worth it just to see Sam's smile and genuine joy! : ) read more

Best customer service ever! The clerk who helped me today, (a lady with shoulder length curly, silver hair), was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty with her assistance. I was mailing, of all things, an empty violin case to Austin. I was just going to slap a mailing label on it and call it good with some duct tape, but she found me some packing materials that worked and helped me get it ready to go in a very kindly and efficient manner. I have had two packages go missing. One was at Christmas time. The tracking showed that the package was delivered, but it wasn't. When I called the PO I was told that the package was undeliverable because the mailing label was incomplete. I explained that the tracking indicated delivery, but it was not delivered. The next time I called regarding the same package, I was told it had been returned to the sender. I contacted the sender and he only received a copy of the label, with the CORRECT mailing address on it, but NO content. If this isn't a "shit-show" I don't know what is. I'm positive that someone that works for the PO is enjoying the contents of that package. My second package was delivered June 20th. The tracking information said it was left in a "parcel locker". No surprise, I didn't receive this package either. I checked with the apartment office, they didn't have the package. I called the PO, they checked with the carrier. The carrier said they left it in the parcel locker, and all the lockers are empty now. Ok, so who has my package? I'm guessing that the "carrier" put the key to the locker in someone else mailbox. How can the PO be so careless with mail and packages? What really pisses me off is the public has no recourse for this type of thing. read more

Every time I go to this post office I am served by a particular man. He is always putting his 2 cents in. Like today when he told the customer ahead of he he would never use the kind of envelope she had. It caused him to place the postage sticker on s part of the envelope he didn't like snd she should spend more money snd get a better one. Then he launched into why the tax filing deadline was extended because of a D.C. Holiday and the whole backstory.... All while there was a line growing for service. read more

Despite all the anti-government types' whining about this place just because it offends their sense of unbridled capitalism, the US Post Office still gets it done for less than Fed Ex or UPS. I've never had a bad experience at this location. Sometimes the lines can get long but they usually move quickly. read more

We have had a piece of mail in our box at the house waiting for pick up since Friday the 30th it was not picked up on Friday it was not picked up on Saturday and it was not picked up yesterday Monday. Love this post office. Everyone has always been friendly and welcoming. Very warm atmosphere. People should try being nice to the people that handle our mail. I've never had a problem with this post office. It's well run and they don't get the recognition they deserve. read more

Package with tracking supposedly left in receptacle for the recipient, but key never put in her box. Now over a week later after its "delivery," no one seems to know where it is . Meanwhile, this is an irreplaceable item. I thought I was safe having tracking on it, guess not. Seems missing packages are a theme with this post office, stand forewarned. read more

I can't find any other place to express my dissatisfaction about my mail carrier so I'm putting it here. Today I happened to be sitting in my home office when I saw the US postal carrier drive up to my home. Rather than walking up the sidewalk to my front porch he walked across the lawn to the brick wall around the front and then threw the large box onto the sidewalk. It happened to be a time when there was a break in the rain and since I was home, I was able to retrieve the package quickly. The point is that with all the theft of packages lately, why would you just throw it on the sidewalk and walk off? I get packages nearly every day from FED EX and UPS. They wouldn't do something so lazy and irresponsible! It makes me mad that I paid for the contents of the package and the shipping only to have it trashed by the United States postal delivery guy? No wonder they have such a black eye with the public! read more
