Had a package "Returned to Sender" never even made it to my apartment. It was missing "Apartment Number" - I was never even notified.

No package drop or receiving bin for dropping off pre-paid USPSl parcels.. what a useless branch. The employees aren't very pleasant either.

Nice exterior and easy to access from Broadway. The lady behind the counter acted as if she would not be able to break change for a Bennie--pretty absurd considering the lack of Apple Pay (in this day and age?) She also attempted to claim (and was subsequently called out) that there was no hand sanitizer when there was a bottle right next to her in plain sight. The roll of the dice luck that there was no line on this visit is the only saving grace from this experience filled with dishonesty and deception notching a flat 1-star. read more

I went inside, and there were only two elder people working. I waited in line for 27 min and there were 4 more people behind me. So this man from the narrow window on the left side called two people behind me and not seeing that I was at the front waiting first before other ones. I was still patient. And then I looked at him so he could see I'm actually waiting there to be called next. So I walked to the narrow window and I told this man that, "It's my first time shipping an item. So if you could help me get on track, I'll appreciate it." And I mentioned three times that NOT to charge me for a fast shipping. I want 3-5 business days free shipping. So I paid for the little envelope and he charged me another $8.70 and i was shocked why so much. I checked on the receipt, it was charged for 1 day shipping. I said, why you charged me for the fast shipping. I didn't ask you for that. He gave me an attitude he said it's not a charge for the shipping it's for the envelope. The envelope was $1.79 only alright? I left so confused and disappointed because I could see clearly that the item was going to be delivered tomorrow. He lied to me and said it'll arrive in 2-3 days. Well, what's more upsetting is that the buyer paid for my item for $19.27 and I ended up paying for $10.49 for the whole thing to send it? Are you kidding me? This was the most disgusting costumer service I ever dealt with. I hate the staff there and few years ago I went there it was still this two people working there. He lied to me. I will never be back again! I just wasted my money. It's like paying the buyer most of the money back that she paid for my item. Horrible staff and service. Place gets the stars because it's a beautiful, historic building. It's open but under construction, with scaffolding inside (review done March 2022). The employees are super friendly, but I had to get inline to buy ONE stamp, where usually you could find a kiosk and purchase from it at the post office. It's not like they don't have the space for it (the space is huge). If they can add those amenities, and finish construction - 5 stars . read more

I came to this location to get FBI fingerprinting done. I was told I can walk-in to do it anytime at the passport department. Well, there is a locked door and I just had to wait outside it (with some other people who were there for passports) until an employee came out to let us in. I was standing there for 25 minutes just waiting for someone to come out. Once I got into the next room, I waited about 10 more minutes and then finally got them done. The good thing was that I got the results in a matter of minutes! Oh and there is no parking lot that I'm aware of so just street parking- be careful if you park by a meter because you don't know how long you'll be waiting. read more

Avoid for passport services. My family applied for passport renewals and these guys screwed up one of the applications. It was an administrative oversight. We had waited months for the appointment and had to cancel our family trip. If this happens to you, realize there is nothing you can do other than reschedule another appointment months later. There is no possibility of escalation and no accountability whatsoever. If your travel plans are important I would recommend going with another post office. read more

The postman who delivers to my apartment (Vestalia) should be fired. He's getting paid to drive around and skip deliveries and marking the delivery as "unable to deliver because there's no access to delivery location". There is a huge mailroom which he has access to if he's too lazy to go deliver a the packages to the units... Dude is super rude and called me "bro" thru the call box, like bitch I don't fucking know you. He's clearly lazy and under no circumstances should a post office employ a lazy slob like this dude. He was also told to wear a mask to cover his face during the pandemic but everyone including our manager would catch him with his mask off every time. It's ridiculous how selfish this guy is. Went there today to do an international shipment. The Asian lady at the window (don't know her name) had an attitude that let's just say was less than acceptable. I don't do this everyday and obviously I don't know the process. Instead of just telling me what I should do, she talked to me like I'm the dumbest person she's ever met. This is ridiculous. Made an appointment for passport application. Arrive 10 minutes early like stated on your instructions and MAKE sure you have all of your required documents and have filled out your passport application fully with black ink like stated. Just get your photos at your local pharmacy- the camera was broken on the day I went in and some people had to forfeit their appointments because of this. The offices are understaffed with short appointment slots, making their employees have to work very quickly. It is very difficult to even get an appointment online, but do your best, have some patience and know it will be a while until the appointment. I myself had to wait a month until my appointment. Once at the office, they will call your name by order of appointment time. If they call your name and you are not there, don't be surprised if they move on to the next person and have you reschedule your appointment. These passport appointments right now are like gold and you have to treat it as such. Is it ideal? No. Can you manage to turn in your application if you follow all instructions to the dot? Yes. Don't expect the employees to have stellar customer service or go above and beyond for you- they work by appointment time, don't have a lot of time, and have to deal with tons of stressed people desperate to get their passport applications in on a daily basis on a government salary. Cut them some slack. read more

Great customer service process in getting a Passport From both Cherrise at the front desk taking the intake application to Liuong finalizing application. The wait time was less than a hour. Passport tip: print out the application form on line, take passport pictures ahead at Costco for $5.00 or Walgrms!! eens. Take birth Certificate and Drivers License, if you have a Naturalization certificate take Original. Make sure to make a copy of Birth and Naturalization Certificate also for your records since they send away Original for process. Arrive early before 8a.m. Public Parking across the post office corner of Louise and Brand- pay with card or coins. You can pay cash, check or credit card. Also they have no public restrooms. This office is the reason the government gets a bad rap. The amount of incompetency and lack of common sense just blows my mind. I purchased an oversized item from eBay and the seller who obviously has a usps account created a label and shipped the item. This office, particularly some Asian lady who acts like this is her first job ever was refusing to release the package because of it being oversized and wanted to charge me, the buyer, $58 dollars for it. I told them shipping was covered by the seller and all they could resort to was threaten to send it back and waste more manpower when all they had to do was charge the seller who obviously has an account and created a label. Ultimately I ended up paying the shipping because I couldn't risk having these dimwits hold onto my package any longer and I had to get back to work from my lunch break. The seller refunded my shipping and it's all taken care of but this group of fine individuals are a prime example of why our tax dollars are wasted and usps should be privatized to begin with. Why was the package shipped in the first place and out for delivery? Why are you trying to charge the receiver? It's not cod, or was there any sort of paperwork stating the receiver would pay for shipping. The supervisor stated this happened all the time but didn't know that you could charge the sender who already has an active account. You made a mistake and all you could do was hold my package hostage and threaten to send it back. "Yea, and you wonder why you're department has been operating at a loss for the last 10years. I took time off work to get my package because you couldn't deliver it the first time. I'm not a government employee that can spare time like this. Came in on Lincoln's birthday to renew some passports. After stopping at Photo Aram across the street to have our passport photos taken, we arrived at the post office around 12 pm and were greeted with a long line. Our posted wait time? 2.5 hours. And that is exactly how long it took. After we got inside the actual room, it was pretty much smooth sailing from there. The people who were working were nice and did their jobs well. But cmon, maybe have more people working at a time? I'd suggest coming as early as possible to avoid the long line. Oh, and fill out your passport application online and print it out. read more

This is for the passport office. They are understaffed, so it was only 2 women processing many applications all morning. It's Covid times this just seems to be normal everywhere now unfortunately. Make sure you have EVERYTHING PREPARED BEFORE YOU GET THERE. I did have to wait in line for 45 mins past my appt time (prepare for that possibility) but that gave me time to witness at least 80% of the people show up not being prepared and then having an attitude with the employees about their own carelessness. You can't expect to receive kindness and understanding after being angry and rude for your own mistake. Once I was in the door I was processed and finished within 5 minutes. read more

Passport agent calls appointment times late and then tells you she cancelled the appointment because you weren't there 10 mins early - even if you were on time. Can be over 30 mins waiting between call times, no clear instructions at the door for how gatekeeping service operates. Only meter parking and parking takes coins only no cards. Do yourself a favor and just go to Altadena Library instead. read more

The worst post office you can encounter. I went this morning to drop off a box. I was in shock to say the least on how rude customer service is here. There was more than 4 people wanting to speak to a supervisor. They asked for a supervisor and the lady helping (well at least that's what you would think she's there for) was raising her voice telling them she didn't know what they were talking about and didn't understand why they all needed to talk to a supervisor. I then figured out all I could do was drop my box in a random scale in front and proceeded to do that. As their drop off box was out of service and had no sign. I understand with this whole pandemic businesses are short staffed. But there is no need to be rude and disrespectful to customers. So sad that sometimes these employees unfairly take out their bad day on customers. read more

Husband and kid had to renew their passports for travel at the end of the year. Because she's a minor, both parents needed to be present. Walking into this beautiful building was wow. I've not been in many USPS locations this gorgeous. Both employees we encountered were professional, efficient and extremely helpful. We also had to take our pics there, excellent. Even if the 14 year old wasn't cooperating (open your eyes big). We moved from the initial office into the process room, the lady who helped us walked us through everything, helped with the husbands application, we paid our fees here, she helped with the mailing portion, got a money order so we could send husbands application right there. We were in and out of there in 24 minutes. We parked in the 30 minute parking right out front, we had 6 minuets left on the meter. The worst customer service that you can imagine from a post office and it's supervisor. I'm talking about passport section and don't have any idea about other services. They refused to take our application because we were not 10 minutes earlier prior our appointment time . The worst part was the supervisor that told us to go to another post office . In spite the fact that there was no one in the passport line , they refused to get application from 4 different family because they were late 1 to 3 minutes late and prefer to stay inside the passport office and do nothing. After a terrible experience at the Eagle Rock USPS, I came here on a Tuesday morning around 11:30. This location was so much nicer. There was hardly a line, I was in and out within 40 minutes. Passport book and passport card $140 Expedited shipping (2-3 week) $60 USPS processing fee $35 Print fee for copies of birth certificate & ID $2 Came out to a grand total of $237. Highly recommend if you need your passport fast and don't want to pay another service a bunch of extra money. :) read more

The best post office out of all in the local area. Born and raised in LA, I've been to 10+ other locations in the whole of Los Angeles County and this one is where I ship all my online business packages. I have been shipping it out of this location for 4 years. The atmosphere is different by way of management and it shows on the employees. Human beings work here, not indifferent robots. They care, they laugh, smile, kind, are knowledgeable and efficient. At all the other locations, postal employees are rude, crabby, self-righteous, etc., and make you want to take your funds to FedEx. The prepaid box is not always locked as someone reviewed earlier. Its actually the only one that's open in this area, except when it's full, of course. This location has never lost my packages. I trust them. It's usually the ones out in North Texas, Detroit, and Florida doing the losing of my packages. Anyway, highly recommend them. Thanks to everyone at this location for all the help! read more
