This is the only post office I've seen in the last 10 years that doesn't have an automated machine for weighing packages and printing postage. Those machines are an enormous time-saver, but at this post office, you're stuck standing in line. Nobody likes lines...or the person who tries to buy one stamp with a $20 bill. Just a reminder. The first time I went to this location I told the clerk I'd like to buy stamps, and the guy pulled out a book and scanned them before I could open my mouth, meaning I didn't get to pick the design I wanted. The guy seemed grumpy, and I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but no, same thing the next week (maybe he's having a bad month, I don't know). The other woman I've dealt with was fine. They have PO boxes that are accessible 24/7. read more

I used to live nearby this usps. I moved and accidentally had a package shipped here. Amazon said that usps would be able to intercept the package and send it back to them. I called this usps and they did no such thing. The guy answering the phone was EXTREMELY rude but I finally got him to agree to intercept the package and send it back. But he didn't do it! It ended up getting delivered to my old location and I lost $50. Unbelievable. read more

I received no mail on Friday Sept. 21 2018. The people that work in the post office are not competent to handle anyone's mail.

This post office would mark items as delivered even when items are clearly still with them. I had ordered 7 mattresses from Amazon and tracking indicated items were delivered. We obviously did not receive them so we reported to Amazon. That night somebody from USPS verdugo viejo station called to say they were delivering the items that night. They didn't. The next day i spoke with someone named Dana from this USPS station who said he initially scheduled for our items to be delivered but some other items needed to be delivered elsewhere so he put a hold on my items. Are my items' delivery any less important than other deliveries? He also said they dont have a van big enough to deliver our items and if we can just come pick them up. I explained to him that if the post office does not have a big enough van, how does he expect us to have one. That's the very reason why we ordered those items for delivery and not for pick up. He then assured me items will be delivered that afternoon. They were not. When i tracked the package, tracking says ready for pick up before Nov 13 or it will be shipped back to seller. So frustrating! I ended up just calling Amazon to return items! Very bad service, poor communication, staff obviously had no intention to resolve issue. read more

I recently lost a package that wasn't delivered properly by one of the mailmen. The reason why I am still giving them 5 stars is because of the manager Hector. He handled the situation properly and calmly even when I began to lose my patience about my lost item. Hector was able to track the package that was lost and gave it to me personally. This post office location is horrible! We moved temporarily and have forwarded the mail on January 2nd, guess what!! No mail has been delivered and it is February 5th!!all of our mail are either lost or returned back to the sender. Went to the post office in person and tried to figure out what's going on. The supervisor didn't check it then, he got my number told me he'll get back to me by the end of the day, two days have gone by and obviously he hasn't gotten back to me. Calling is a waste of time since they don't answer. I have been put on hold for over an hr now!!! What a waste!! As I mentioned in my tip, they lost my registered package!! Ok let's rewind to show you I'm not just irrationally upset with them about that one moment but rather the whole process I had to endure surrounding this event. I had a registered package arrive at my place on Tuesday but no one was home to sign for it so they left a card notifying me to come to the post office the next day at 10 am to pick it up. The next day at 11:30 am I arrive at the post office and there are 3 people in front of me but with 3 stations helping people I figure I should be in and out fast, however, I ended up being quite WRONG. It took about half an hour for me to finally get to a station but the whole time I couldn't help but be annoyed because at 2 of the 3 stations the workers were simply just having a leisurely conversation with their respective patrons while a line formed behind me of at least 8 people waiting. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if you conversate but please don't STOP working and talk about how nice the weather is when there are 9 people in line waiting for you. The workers had no sense of urgency or consideration of other people's time that they were wasting in line. Strike one! When I get to the worker finally helping me she seemed pleasant enough but couldn't find my package after searching in the back for about 10 minutes. She then calls her supervisor over to help find my package and away he goes for another 10 minutes or so before coming back to tell me they lost it. He then scribbles down all of my information messily onto the back of some scrap paper. I don't know if anyone, including himself, could even read the mess that he wrote. Fine whatever, it's his system, if it works, I won't knock it. He then tells me he would call me when he finds it. I told him it was important and he needed to notify me asap to pick it up when it's found. He concedes and I leave feeling partially satisfied though having had to wait almost an hour in the post office and leaving empty-handed. That afternoon I call the post office asking for an ETA and I talk to the same supervisor helping me and he had no idea who I was or what I was talking about. Strike two!! What!? He couldn't read or file his scribbled note on the back of a piece of scrap paper? Surprise! After giving him all of my information AGAIN he puts me on hold for a few minutes then comes back with "We still haven't found it but we'll call you when it comes in." Ok how am I supposed to trust this guy if he can't even remember our conversation and recall his own scribbly note-taking system from a few hours prior? Day 2, Thursday, I call again. The supervisor is out so I left a detailed message with one of the workers and asked for him to call me back just giving me any status update. The day ends and I still get no calls. Strike three!! Day 3, Friday, I called again and couldn't reach him. I leave another message. At the end of the day there is still no return call from anyone. I'm getting frustrated now and feeling helpless. Day 4, Saturday, I plead with a worker to help me but she has no idea where my package is and the supervisor is in a meeting. I left another message asking for the supervisor to please call me back. Still I get no call all day. Day 5, Monday Morning, I call and finally get to speak with another supervisor. Triptan was his name??? I tell him the situation and after putting me on hold for a minute he comes back letting me know my package is already there waiting to be picked up. Finally! But what if I never called? Would that other supervisor even call me back? Did he even keep his messy scrap-paper note to remind himself? So to reiterate, coming here will frustrate you and make you go "postal" :P Get it? ;) Seriously, this place is terrible. They lost my package in their own facility, the wait is very long, with inconsiderate workers to boot, and at least one of the supervisors is completely unorganized and incompetent at his job. read more

I have ordered three seperate packages in the last 3 weeks and all have had a problem. Two are currently extremely late and the third was delivered on time to the wrong city and address. I don't know what's wrong there but the problems happened continuously. read more

I prepaid & printed postage from USPS website to send a package to Canada. This is the first time I've gone to this post office. The package somehow ended up in Germany for several weeks before being returned and redirected to the correct address in Canada. Meanwhile the recipient of the package was anxiously awaiting for the package and extremely upset it took over a month to be delivered. When I contacted USPS regarding the error, they confirmed that an employee at this post office placed the package in the wrong bin going to Germany. I've shipped internationally many times at the Broadway & Louise location and this has never happened. Never going to this post office again! read more

My experience here was bad. This happened around christmas time when I bought something online to give someone as a christmas present. I tracked my package through their website and saw that it was coming the very next day. Sometimes they leave the package at my neighbors house so i decided to just stay home that day to make sure I get my package. It never came. I went online and checked it's status and it stated it was delivered. I went to my neighbors to ask and they saw nothing. I waited out a few days to pop up, and it never did. Therefore I decided to go to the postal office. After waiting in a long line, I was helped by some lady and then she asked me for the tracking number and gave it to her supervisor to check for it in the back. After waiting 15 minutes, the supervisor came out and said, "We don't have it, it's was delivered" And she was some lazy lady with an attitude problem. I told her that it was claimed delivered but it wasn't at my house. She said that it was scanned as delivered and it was left at my front door. I told her "No, it wasn't" and shes just telling me the same thing. Like HELLO lady! I was home all day! Waiting for the dam package! I think i would know if I got it, especially if it was left at the front door. WORST supervisor ever! Holy Moley! And she gave me some stupid card with the wrong number that I can call and make a claim and what not. I did that and talked to some lady and then never ever got a call back. So I just spoke to my regular Mailman named Co. I've known Co since I was a young girl. He asked me for the tracking number. A week later Co showed up with my package and told me that they delivered it to the wrong house two blocks down. I was so grateful that Co did this for me, by far the best mailman. So some other mailman took my package to the wrong house, I don't understand how they can confuse 420 with 1512 and also the streets names are different, but this mailman mailed to the wrong house and the supervisor never did anything. She didn't try to see who mailed that day or anything. She was useless. Don't waste your time here if you have a lost package just talk to your mailman, he will be more helpful than anyone else in that office read more

This is directly for the postmen, I can't even begin to count how many times they've forgotten to deliver my packages. I don't understand how they can deliver my mail and not include my packages. When it says out for delivery I expect to receive it that day not when ever they feel like it. I've also called numerous times about this yet the problem has not been solved. small, narrow parking lot with a drop-off box that clogs up the traffic that flows only from verdugo exiting broadway. slow, glum counter service, no self-help postal machine or scale. neighborhood carriers are pretty whiney when they're not yakking on their cell phones or delivering someone else's mail (posing the question "what mail am i not getting?") or important tidbits like the neighbors hate your car or their feet are tired and they hate houses with certain dogs. not the worst, but hardly the most efficient. between this and the old p.o. down further on broadway, it's a toss-up. at least the other one has parking and a self-serve postal machine with scale and parcel drop box. read more

I don't understand why this has such a low rating. I have always had the best service here. The staff are quick and friendly. They never try to over charge me for shipping. If anything they try to make sure I get the cheapest rate. The real problem I've experienced is the customers that come to this location. The people that come hete are rude, self entitled and completely horrible to the employees here. I'm surprised they are so friendly. If you don't like this post office, then you are most likely the customers I'm speaking of, so please go somewhere else. read more

Super friendly staff! I've come here a couple times recently and all their employees have been beyond helpful with sending from Christmas chocolates to applications in large envelopes. They always offer the usual stamps, ask if you need cash back or help with anything else. It's usually moderately busy because they have a good parking lot and the lines go by quickly. I've seen P.O. This is a prime location for me because it's right down the street from my work but as I went in here after work the other day to buy stamps... I was presented with a line going out the door at 5:00pm... 30 minutes before closing. Yes... sadly I stood in this line because I needed stamps for xmas cards. This is not the place to mail packages. After mailing a package on May 5 for delivery on May 8 and tracking per instructions I was very disappointed when my package was lost for 10 days. After e-mail communication with the manager in El Paso the package showed up in San Bernadino, CA and finally in El Paso (the destination). According to the manager in Glendale, there is no guarantee of delivery date unless package is sent next day express. Thus no refund. Beware! read more

Service quality at this location is above average for USPS. Lines can be long but overall it moves along OK. The parking may seem inadequate but frankly I have had no issues finding a spot even during peak hours. I went there after hours to try to ask about my package. All the postmen directed me to the supervisor. I tried to talk to him but he just repeated "we are closed", "i want you to leave, or i will call the police" and took out his phone. Why bother the police with such a little thing? I'm 100 pounds, about 5 ft tall outside of his door asking about my package. why threaten to call the cops, please explain why you cant do anything help me at least. I was home all day waiting for my package, never arrived. No one knocked or called, but I found a slip of paper in my mailbox saying they failed to deliver that same day and that I can pick it up after the weekend. I paid extra for fast delivery, but basically getting standard shipping. I feel like they didnt try to deliver my package. I was home all day and no one knocked. No post office is a fun place to frequent, but this is one of my favorites. Yes, the parking lot only has one entrance from Verdugo and one exit onto Broadway, and the parking lot is small, but it's convenient for me and the clerks are among the friendliest I've encountered. Also, the wait in line doesn't seem as long. Just wish it had a self-service machine. Oh, and it's so close to AAA if you have a need to go. read more

Caveat: This review is based on the one time I used this location. Filipino lady helped me, but the other younger guy who was also working the register (I think his tag said, "Michael") was equally friendly. They both were working the opening shift. Thank you for not being jerks like the employees at the USPS on Chevy Chase! :) Also, all you folks complaining about parking are ridiculous. This location has one of the better parking lots. Have you seen the lot at the Chevy Chase location? It has no more than 5 parking spaces. The location on Broadway? Only paid parking on the street! This is essentially a government building, which is NOT busy during most hours in the day. If it occupied more land (to have more parking), it would just consume more taxes. Stop whining and either go at different times or wait for 15 minutes like an adult. read more

No Post Office is great, but this is the one I head to when I need to mail packages off. The line is always long but the workers are quick and efficient, the parking lot is much bigger than the post office closest to my house. So, as far as USPS goes, it's not so bad. read more

I love this post office and i appreciate all the workers over there i have a beautiful experience to share and i feel so happy , there was a package that i was going to receive yesterday early morning but it didn't arrive so i called them to check on it and the guy who answered the phone told me that it was on a different route so we will not know for sure till next day so i was a bit sad but then he took the extra mile and called the person who had my package and made him come to my house and give it to me instead of waiting to the next day i was so happy like a child who found a present that he made it possible for me :) and I feel so blessed thank you to all the workers over there and hope something special can happen to you all. read more

This office is the worst! In five years living in their district, I might have received a package once without issues; I usually have to continuously ask them to redeliver it! Most often, they attempt to get me to drive to their disorganized location to pick-up my package. If I wanted to drive to pick-up a mail order, why would I have ordered it online?
