So mad I am spitting nails right now! I moved to EP August 2021 and was wondering why I wasn't receiving mail. I had to go to the post office not once but twice to fill out a form because it wasn't done the first time I went. All I have gotten since then has been junk mail until I finally received my 2022 tax form, which stated there was a lien on my house because of nonpayment of taxes. I have never received a statement from this post office and Larimer County told me the notice of delinquent taxes was returned back to them in October 2022 due to "no mail receptacle." Unbelievable!! The mail receptacle accepts junk mail, but no government forms?? So now, I am a year late paying taxes that I'm going to have to scramble to figure out a way to get that taken care of, all because of the ineptitude of this post office. Absolutely furious! I can't give negative stars! Having lived in 13 different states, and more than that number of towns/cities; I can say I have NEVER seen such incompetence in my life. I filled out a change of address which I personally took into the post office over two weeks ago, and they are STILL delivering my mail to my old address. Now I am told they never received the change of address form which I handed to them. In the past, I sent a priority mail pkg, with a tracking number, but the package simply disappeared - never arrived at its destination. I was told it was my job to track the package down. What? How? A few months ago, I sent a $50.00 via Priority Mail; it too simply disappeared. The rural carriers who are independent contractors who bid on routes, are not held accountable. The current one refuses to deliver any large packages to our mailbox bank, requiring us to drive to the local post office which currently only has one parking space available due to construction. The post office is requesting customers to park in a town lot two blocks away. As someone who is handicapped, this is not tenable. I have requested everyone I know to use UPS or Fedex for any packages. read more

The post office is another government run business. They don't worry about the bottom line one bit. If they need more money, they just raise the price of services. They have no incentive to satisfy the customer whereas UPS and FedEx go overboard to exceed the customers, expectation. The post office has no customer satisfaction survey because they really couldn't care less. They're not gonna make any more money to please regardless of how low customer satisfaction is with respect to the post office. So I'm pretty upset . I have a printer I ordered and they won't bring it to the front porch like UPS and FedEx. Normally I would have a car and I go to the post office and pick the package up but my car is in the shop. I talk to the guy delivering the mail, a young man and asking why didn't he bring the package to my front door get this he said because it's summertime in traffic so I met with this guy two times at the mailboxes and not a car has driven by. Either time. Basically, it's a heavy printer and I'm a little over half a mile from the post office. I will have to bring a dolly to get my package. So I go to the post office I guess to complain and try to find out why the guy can't bring the printer to the front door and they have no reason why he can. At least I didn't hear one. So I have a complaint and I want to talk to the head postmaster woman and they want me to fill out a form first and I'm not doing that I'm gonna go there Monday and I'm gonna talk to the boss I think her name is April . . I guarantee you if the mail carriers best friend lived in this house he'd bring the package to the front porch. here if his family lived here, he would bring the package to the front door but this guy is not gonna do one thing extra. In fact he does nothing extra. Anyway, he tells me he can't back up over 50 feet and because of the heavy traffic and the rules are he can't back up more than 50 feet He also claims that my drive is in a Blindspot. That's absolutely not true. and that's an absolute joke. It's not in a Blindspot have no clue what what's the what is non-and supposedly my drivers on the Blindspot and that that is not true. I really don't think he had a good excuse. He was just throwing Out objections that were not warranted. So anyways, I'm gonna go see the head honcho Monday and I doubt if I'll get any satisfaction so standby and I will update this after my meeting.. Alright I cave - this post office is in fact terrible. Although there are some very friendly employees, we have had mailbox keys given away to strangers, mail dropped off in wrong boxes, wedding registry items disappear or never arrive, and our address was undeliverable for 8 months but they insisted we needed to pay for a PO Box (law abiding USPS locations provide free PO Boxes for undeliverable addresses). Also curious - has anyone ever been successful in getting this location to answer the phone? I called over 20 times over the course of 5 days last week as I was sick and had a temperate sensitive package go missing. My calls went unanswered and while I'm sure the contents are ruined, I may never know for sure since the package has yet to be tracked down. These jokers pretty much refuse to deliver packages to us all winter even if the driveway is clear of snow. They don't even leave a slip in the mailbox most of the time. This post office used to answer their phone. Now they are no different than other government agencies, which is no help, no service.

Used this post office to send an outfit for my small business. WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! Literally stole my package, then proceeded to send an empty open box to my customer! Claimed there was nothing in the box when mailed. Sent 10/23/21, did not receive item back until thanksgiving. Wrote on the box, and claimed that I sent an empty box. Unsure of why that had to be indicated that way, instead of an email or call. read more

I have had to use counter service for several different post offices over the last few years and have to say that the employees here in Estes Park are the friendliest and the most efficient and work under very heavy loads yet never seem to complain. The only real negative issue I have is that tourists take the half hour parking spots knowing they will not get ticketed. That makes it incredibly hard sometimes for us to get our mail. I wish the town would make some 15 minute parking spots there and enforce them year-round. . read more

We vacation in Estes Park every Thanksgiving holiday for 10 days at a time. This year, prior to our trip, I won an old board game on Ebay, and had it shipped to the vacation address. The lazy postal employee returned the item to the sender in Arkansas, saying it was undeliverable. He said he tried to deliver it on November 24th at 8:45 am and 12:00 noon, without success. We were there all day, and he's full of it. I went to the Post Office, and after standing in line for 30 minutes (one teller, but the poor guy was nice but overwhelmed), was told he'd speak to the employee. Asked around the neighborhood and everyone to a person said the employee was horrendous and they all have problems with him. Time to fire his butt and get someone competent. If you live near South St. Vrain Ave, Sixth Green Lane and Holiday Lane, you should demand to the Postmaster to axe the clown. Unbelievable. read more

We live outside the city limits. No mail to our home. There is a little box station on the highway, but the doors are plastic and easily breached. No thanks. We choose to use a PO box at the USPS. It's really cool to get 2-day shipping from Amazon directly to the Post Office but it takes another 2-3 days for the Post Office to sort mail. 2-day shipping turns into a week if it falls near a weekend. We could take delivery to our home but often UPS and Fed Ex have trouble and packages get returned. Post Office is the safe choice. I wish someone would fix it. read more

Too bad there's no choice...horrible service and rates! New postmaster every few months. They never resolve problems, they never "look into it and call you back" like they say they will. One employee the other day told the customer paying with a credit card, that she had to do "debit" and enter 4 digit code. That is not right. We paid for a year of P.O. Box service. I went in today to find out our box was closed for some reason.... a month before expiration. The inept and horribly rude lady in charge, I think her name is Sheryl, told me repeatedly that I closed my account in January (how have I been getting mail through yesterday then?), that I also was delinquent on my payments and have had 8 months free (how in the hell did she figure that one?) and will need to open a new box. During these fifteen minutes of literal torture, she also kept telling me how she didn't have my package and interrupted me every time I tried to speak. She then somehow DID have my package (because I pushed and pushed and wouldn't leave without it), but continued her disrespectful behaviour. I was fuming at this point and called my husband. He went in and her behaviour to him, while still rude, wasn't anything compared to how she treated me. So it appears she is also sexist. He said the same things I did and she magically knew how to actually listen all of the sudden and instantly said it must have been a typo. She said he still needs to pay to reopen it since we've been getting it free since January. He told her we paid for a year. She wouldn't listen. So he paid and left so he wouldn't have to deal with her anymore. This is by far the worst of our experiences here, but we are frequently having problems with packages being delivered to someone else or being sent to random other states for no reason, amongst other problems.
