The store varies in speed and quality depending on who is working. One time I must have had the A student, another time I got a trainee and had to wait and get my stuff reentered. Being one of the few places to ship stuff out it is OK and I don't mind dealing with them. Overall the staff is very friendly regardless of level of training or experience. It also helps if the customers come in ready and organized. Having a flustered customer and a flustered trainee doesn't help anyone. They have ground marking for safe spacing which was nice. read more

This store shipped four boxes of fragile items for me. Items were antiques I'd bought while on vacation in Colorado. Everything was handled with care and all items arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Communication with me about my boxes was first-rate. This is a UPS store near the Safeway in downtown Estes Park that is convenient, clean, and will get the job done. That all being said, it has some of the inconsistencies and issues you would expect in a small mountain town. Episode One: I had to mail a large glass candle that contained 2 gallons of wax and seven wicks and the thing weighed close to 50 pounds.I go in with this gigantic candle, I am helped immediately, and for 30 bucks the candle is efficiently off to its new home, insured and tracked. Success! Well done UPS store! Episode Two: I had to mail a children's tea set made of porcelain in 18 pieces to a nice grandmother in Florida. The prepack box weighed 9 pounds. The store had five customers when I walked in, The phones were ringing incessantly, and nobody was at the front desk and we could hear packing sounds in the back. After about five minutes, four other customers walked out. When the nice young lady finally emerged flustered from the back room, she was apologetic. She explained to me and the other customer that she had been left alone without full training in the store and that she frankly wasn't sure how to finish the current transaction and would that lady mind coming back later? Nice lady said sure and then she moved on to me where she apologized again. The estimated cost of shipping for my 9 pound tea set was going to be $53. This did not make sense to me since the 50 pound candle only cost $30 and was about the same size... So I thanked the nice girl and took the tea set to the USPS where I shipped it for $20. So the moral of the story is, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose at the UPS store in Estes Park. Happy shipping. read more

This is the worst owner managed ups store that I have ever been to and I've been to at least s dozen. I stayed away for 6 months and came back and it was horrible! Again, scanner is till down after 6 months, printer is now the blink, no stamps, and no white out to purchase and completely under staffed. You need to go to Master Graphics! read more

This seems like a pretty average UPS store location, with all the standard services UPS offers. Mostly, I come in to drop off shipments for work whenever the UPS truck doesn't come by during the day, and the staff seems proficient, if not overly friendly. During my first week at my new job, I came in to drop off some packages and the attendant asked if I wanted a dropoff receipt. I asked him if that was standard procedure for our store, as we print our own labels online and drop them off, since it was my first time doing so, and he looked at me as if I were a bit mad for having the audacity to ask. He explained that the primary purpose behind the dropoff receipt was to have records of the tracking numbers that we'd used (which we already have, since we printed them ourselves), and that our store associates didn't usually request a receipt. So I deigned not to trouble him for one. I suppose that the information is generally helpful, but it was more the way that he stated "that's just for tracking numbers" and looked at me as if I was foolish to ask a question about the standard interaction between our businesses during my first week at a new job that bothered me. It wasn't unfriendly, necessarily, but it's not a place I'd likely return to if we didn't use it for work and it wasn't the only UPS store in Estes Park. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A friend of mine was sending me a TV that was professionally packed from an online distributor that LITERALLY HAS SOLD OVER 100,000 TVs (so I am SURE they know how to properly pack it.) It was inadvertently sent to my Colorado address and not my Florida address. He took it to the Estes Park UPS store and was told (AND I QUOTE), "Oh, you are going to want to get the additional insurance on it BECAUSE WE HAVE BROKEN THEM BEFORE." My friend PAID NEARLY $250 SHIPPING AND ADDITIONAL INSURANCE. Sure enough, it arrived broken to me in Florida. I immediately contacted the UPS Claims number. They then sent out a UPS driver who returned it to the UPS store in Estes Park (where they said paperwork needed to be submitted by the owner for the claim.) I called several times over the NEXT 6 MONTHS to ask about my claim. Each time I was told that the paperwork was still not submitted. IT TOOK THEM NEARLY A YEAR JUST TO SUBMIT THE PAPERWORK TO UPS. The Estes Park UPS Store employee/owner pulled out some of the protective padding and took several half-ass pictures with a cell phone that they sent to UPS's Claims Office who then -- SHOCKER -- proceeded to deny my claim by saying it wasn't properly packed. How could they tell? They didn't send out a claims representative, they simply went off the pictures submitted by the UPS store (WHO, REMEMBER, HAD REMOVED THE PACKING BEFORE TAKING PICTURES.) I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and, yet again, the UPS Store refused to respond. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM RELEGATED TO SUING THEM IN SMALL CLAIMS FOR THE APPROX. $600 THAT I AM OUT FOR THEIR STUPIDITY AND RECKLESSNESS. read more

I was traveling for an event at the new event center, and we placed an online order for pick up. After picking up the order we realized it was not printed correctly. A quick call to the store and the confusion was straightened out, and the order was corrected. THEN, we realized there was a problem with the uploaded file. The staff worked to help us find the correct file on the Internet and printed it correctly. While the confusion and stress was an unwelcome part of the transaction, the team onsite made it clear that they would help us, and stayed after closing to complete the order. The clerk is doing a good job, but Management needs to give him a lunch break, And pay him according to the law. The clerk is kind and loyal, to his position. Spoke to supervisor Billy P. at ext. 1042561, referred to corporate 800-789-4623, spoke with Susan. No results. Called back, left message for Susan. Received call from AK, stated would file claim. No contact, no results. Package shipped on 5/9/19, it is now 6/21/19. Purchasing insurance with UPS is a racket; the company at a corporate level makes filing a claim impossible. if i could give zero stars, i would. this place should be avoided at all costs (there is a fedex station two doors from the estes park post office). my friend forwarded (not sent, just forwarded) a reseller's professionally packed tv from estes park to me in florida. before he even got started with shipping it, he was told by the clerk, "oh, a tv? you are going to want to get the extra insurance on that (and i quote) because we have broken them before." after spending over $250 for insurance, etc. to ship it, sure enough, it arrived to me damaged. i called ups headquarters immediately and filed a claim. i was not advised of the claim's status for more than three months (after numerous calls to the ups main number and the estes park location (where i was repeatedly disconnected, if they answered at all.) sure enough, they denied my claim, saying that it had not been packed properly. funny, considering i bought it from a reseller that has sent out over 100,000 units!! six months later and i still have not received the actual paperwork denying my claim. now, i will be filing a lawsuit against them. they are liars and thieves at this store. use at your own risk!! read more

Seriously the most frustrating UPS store I've ever been in. We ship a lot, like every day, - in the tens of thousands of dollars of shipping per year - if we miss a pickup, we have to take it to this store, they frequently don't get the package actually into the UPS truck, when it should be at it's destination, it's still sitting in the back, no one can explain why, whomever should have gotten it done is "never" there. When we ask to track it the employee will walk into the back of the store and bring out our box and ask if this is the missing box, just get a shoulder shrug when asked why it's not shipped, and yes, we always make sure we get the package to them before the driver arrives. If it's super urgent this store is so bad we'll take a package all the way to Longmont. There is a Fedex shipper in Master Graphics next door to the USPS, neither of which usually have a line of any kind. If you have any choice, try another method of shipping. read more

My mother in law had this store package up some breakable items that were Christmas presents. When my daughters opened it Christmas Day one of the items was broken. I sent an email to the store that day advising of the broken item and requesting assistance. I sent pictures and filed a claim. They never responded until I sent a second email 10 days later on January 5th to request a status update. I was told they filed the claim the week prior. My mother in law called January 5th and was told the claim was filed only THAT day! In the email response from them I was told it would take 10 business days. Now, I am told that it actually takes up to 6 weeks for the claim to be fully processed. Don't trust the people at this store!!!! read more
