I had received an email telling me this post office was closing and that my PO mail would be going…read moreto No. White Plains. I didn't hear anything else about it but everytime I've gone to check my PO Box the place is closed. Is this post office still functioning or not? I need to keep this PO open even though I no longer live in the area because its registered to a corporation. I only check it when I know I'm receiving correspondence from seasonal activity. My only complaint is that I've asked not to put grocery flyers or other people's mail in my box numerous times but I still get junk mail or mail that clearly doesn't belong to me.

This is why I (try to) avoid coming to this location at all cost and instead- go a bit out of my way to the Bronxville or Scarsdale post offices. So why come here then? Because this is the main branch or flagship or whatever you wanna call it in White Plains- so I have to suck it up and pick up my mail. But granted- I've had passports done years ago here and service was alright. This branch is kind of dim- but fairly sized located on Fisher Ave and away from White Plains' heavy-traffic downtown area. I didn't have that peachy-color pick up slip you need in order to pick up my mail- so I tried my luck with a snapshot hubs had sent me. Thankfully, the lady behind the counter was nice enough to hand me the mail with the snapshot and my ID- and I was good to go. But listen...it happens... if you don't crack a smile at coworkers here- you ain't getting the same thing in return- some days are good. Some days are way off.

When I reached the front of the line, the woman with glasses told me her computer wasn't working correctly, and her label printer wasn't functioning, so she couldn't help me. I asked if the second associate could assist, as she had just printed 5-10 labels for the woman in front of me. Before I could even approach her for help, she loudly declared, "That's it, I ain't doing anymore labels!" I was shocked by how rude she was, making me feel like I had done something wrong just by coming in with a QR code. Instead of trying to help, she refused to assist, leaving me with no choice but to walk out without mailing my package. I expressed to both associates how incredibly rude they were and that I didn't deserve to be treated that way. There was a line of over eight people behind me, and I had already waited with about eight people in front of me. I understand that USPS employees may not always be happy with their jobs, but a little decency is expected when someone is kind and simply asking for help--especially when it's your job to print labels as part of the service. I do not recommend this location, and I hope management addresses this issue with their team. This is not how a community USPS should operate.

When in fact, the manager was able to discern that the package is located in Newark. This location seems to hire seriously uneducated, unprofessional, unkempt individuals. Upon arriving home we were perplexed that no package was to be found. I asked my neighbor if his security cameras had captured a UPS truck in the neighborhood: NO! Close examination of the "Proof of Delivery" picture showed it was definitely NOT our house! We went online to file a complaint with UPS, they adamantly insisted that the item had been delivered, offering the bogus photo as "Proof,"and would not entertain either complaint or claim! A trip to the Hub disclosed that our regular driver was not on that day, but no culpabilty was expressed, and no further solution to the mystery was offered; Useless PoS!
