This Staples advertises itself as a location for Amazon pickup and Amazon returns. Today is the THIRD time in the last few months I have come into the store and been told flat out they "do not take Amazon returns or sorry, there is no one here to do it." Take it off your website then. read more

James from the copy & print section was amazing!!! Waited till last minute to try and get a foam poster board printed out, showed up at the store at 8 pm needing it by 1 pm the next day. His customer service to try and make sure i got what i needed in time will guarantee my return. read more

They say the pen is mightier than the sword. So when I need to keep myself armed with the right set of tools for my home office or classroom, shopping at Staples, on Rt 119 in Elmsford- is important. Especially since I can combine my Teacher Tax-Exempt AND Staples Rewards card in one shot. Sizable location with shipping supplies on left, a printing/copy station further on right and laminating services which are pricey- but I go elsewhere for that. The few details Staples has added in the last couple of years, are the really cute and stylish desk accessories- which I'm a sucker for. I can go to several stores to get this and that- but with this Staples, I get extra thick chiseled markers for my drawings or sketches and everything else I need in one spot. Floor service is random- at times there are several employees around and other times, you literally have to search for someone aisle by aisle. On at least three consecutive occasions at this store, I encountered Eileen at the cash register. Both pleasant and adroit, Eileen alerted me to the Staples app, how to install it and how to earn points. Eileen also explained to me the advantages of returning used ink cartridges. She's an asset to the company. On my last visit to the store, I first made eye contact with a brunette cashier who quickly shifted her gaze away from me. I continued walking through the aisles of the store store looking for a USB-C to USB-C Charging Cable. After an unsuccessful search, my only option for customer service was the same brunette from earlier who was now out on the sales floor. I said to her, "Excuse me." to which she replied, "Yeah?" as she continued walking past me (again avoiding eye contact). I then indicated (on my iPhone) that I was trying to purchase a USB-C to USB-C Charging Cable. I showed her a photo of the product on the Staples website. Instead of stopping to speak with me, the woman grabbed my phone, which was still in my hand, and continued walking away from me. I stopped moving and held my phone tightly. Although the woman finally cheered up and helped me purchase the product online, I wouldn't take a chance on being treated with such stupidity again. Her name is Marisol. read more

Their printing department lost my order. Then they re-printed it. Turned out they didn't print it on the correct paper I paid for, then refused to refund me, even after a customer service rep from the main Staples phone number requested they do so. The rep on the phone she's "never heard of a store doing this before." Many thumbs down on this store. I'm never going to use them again. read more

Horrible customer service in this Staples. Lazy associates who do not want to assist customers. I was there last night and not one associate in the store was helpful. Very slow service and terrible, I came here to print several documents, sign then and after scan then to send it to my email. It took me around 3 hours to finish up all service here, which was a long time, my documents were around 30 pages, but this does not justify the time that I spend of here, I had many inconvenient, one of my first papers were printing blank, which delay me for about 30 minutes, I call several time the staff, but they ignored me something that was very boorish of them. When finally someone decided to help me, he realize that the printer, that I was using, was having problem and didn't want to print my document, after this he decide to print in the printer that is inside of the office, it took about 20 minutes to print the document and hand it to me. The staff here should learn some customer service, and should not be jumping from customers to customers before he o she make sure that the customers have finished with all service that he o she requires. read more

Had to pick up some boxes and packing supplies the other day, and my closest option was this Staples. I typically hate "superstores" like this along with the usual cast of gangsta thug clerks, but mercifully, the experience was a breeze. The prices aren't exactly competitive, but they always have what you need in stock and it's easy to get in and out quickly. Employee named Alex was incredibly rude to my father who had walked in to print two pages of paper. My father did not understand how to work the printer and asked Alex for help. Alex did not want to help my father and just said "directions are right there" my father is a 60 year old man where is the customer service in helping him out? My father paid for 15 pages of printed paper when he just needed two. I feel very disrespected from my local staples center. This Staples rarely gets busy. This will be my LAST visit to Staples in Elmsford. I'm usually quite patient but I've had multiple print orders where there were issues, delays, reprints, etc. This time, my job had a photo extending to the edge of the page. The proof clearly displayed the photo with NO margins. When I picked it up, white margins. Turns out their printers cannot print without margins. To compensate, they offered a 10% discount. No thank you, Staples, I'll print them at work for free and spare myself the pain of coming here. read more

Long lines granted it is back to school. The cashier didn't know how to read the Staples coupon, which caused us to purchase less items. The women's bathroom is gross for a place that sells office cleaning supplies, also no diaper changing station for moms that need it. read more

Under Staffed, Unprofessional = Horrible service. I was in a bind - needed 8 pages... (8 measly pages) printed off a flash drive bc my printer ran out of ink. Being that I was going to White a Plains this location was an easy stop for me. Upon entering there were 2 employees standing near the printing/copy center so I told them that I had a flash drive and needed to print a few things. One guy told me to go to the P/C area and ask them... So I stood there and I waited and waited while 2 girls were preoccupied with 2 printing machines. Finally an employee came over and when I told her what I needed to do she told me that I would have to "upload" the flash drive & "pick it up tomorrow bc they are so backed up"... 1) I dont live in the area so that wouldn't work and 2) I needed it printed then and there... I told here there were only 8 pages to print but she insincerely apologized and went back to her business as I walked away. If I wasn't in a rush to get where I was going I would have asked for the manager but I didn't bother bc I didn't have the time. read more

This is not a bad branch of Staples, as they have people walking around to make sure you are finding everything alright. However, they can keep the place a little more organized, as I picked up a pack of glue sticks from a bin of glue sticks that was labeled 50 cents, but it was actually a dollar. There are lots of examples of this kind of mislabeling. Parking lot is a bit on the crazy side. read more

Ive never been able to buy #10 business envelopes that they have at other Staples because they are always out. Too many times to count that I walk in and end up going to another Staples to get a item they should not be without. One time an employee went to check and never came back and one time an employee was dumbfounded as to what a Standard #10 business envelope is. But finding someone to help you is rare. read more

Had a beautiful memory poster printed for my Step fathers wake on 24x36 foam core, Katrina in the printing dept was very helpful. The only thing that annoyed me was for a $75.00 poster, I would of thought at least I could get a bag or something to wrap it in for protection. Instead I had to spend more money $$$ and purchase a roll of bubble wrap and tape! read more

Out of all the staples Iv been to this is probably one of the worst ones. The people were nice but it just looks old and outdated inside. The computer I was using it print something was charging me by minute. The computer was so slow, I ended up spending double the time and money because of it.. So I'd say the employees are good but the store and equipment are very out of date and the store needs a makeover badly. read more

Do NOT waste your time, effort and money here for their self-serve copying, faxing, scanning machines and services. None of the machines work properly. They suck up your payment, but none of the scanned documents make it to your email. Faxing is awfully $2+ per page and 2 min per page. That is more than twice the cost & time to fax at The UPS Store in White Plains! Thankfully, I discovered The UPS Store out of my extreme dismay at my Staples experience. AND, The UPS Store treats a customer the way one should be treated. It is beyond explanation why the majority of the staff at Staples have such an attitude and treat customers as unwanted. Wouldn't be surprised if this store closes one of these days due to eroding patronage. read more

I went to print and fax and the experience was the worst. A man and a woman behind the counter were complaining about how everything goes wrong on a Friday. I asked what did I need to do since I was unfamiliar. I printed my document and went back on line. The grey haired man asked what I wanted. I said I needed to fax. He said so fax. I asked where and he said rudely where I was working. He saw me go to the computer looking confused and he yells out No, here, pointing to a copier. I said you told me where I was working and that's why I was looking there. He said 'how should I know what you were doing' and I said you told me to go back where I was working. All the new hires since the renovation are totally useless and clueless about what is going on there (even the new managers have no idea on the basic products they carry. The more seasoned staff that have been there a while are so overwhelmed, especially in the print shop. You will wait 45 mins to be helped and then be directed to the kiosk or be told the printers are down. I drive 20 mins out my way to go to scarsdale when this one is only 3 mins away to avoid the headaches. Its never a pleasant or smooth transaction in this store anymore. read more

This evening, my boyfriend and I went to Staples looking for a high capacity printer that was affordable, and efficient. We went in with low expectations, but thankfully the store manager (who was very nice and courteous), hooked us up with Stephen, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable about printers, but had a great attitude. My boyfriend can be difficult, and Stephen was patient, and all too happy to help. Not only did we get an awesome deal on the printer, ink, and paper, but we actually had a fun time, and learned a lot about our investment. A few months back I had a negative experience at this particular Staples, but this experience renewed my faith in this store. We'll be back again soon. read more

I got off a work and took my laptop to the store which had been running slow I explained to the gentleman the problem I had he said that for $25 he could take a quick look at my computer he explained the store closed in 40 minutes there was another man who said he just needed a screen put on his telephone and the staples gentleman told me it would take him about 10 minutes so I'd let him take care of the other guy ahead of me I sat there for 20 minutes the guy called for backup other sales people came they stood there and just looked at the guy putting the screen on the cell phone no one explained to me that the guy who is putting the screen on the cell phone was the 1 who could help me after I sat there for 20 minutes I said is anybody gonna help me they said no actually hes the 1 that needs to help you bag customer service I took my lap talk I walked out I will never go back there I will only go there to yet ink for my computer and I'll probly go somewhere else I have a bad taste in my mouth Terrible customer service!!! if a customer sitting there waiting and you know there's only 1 person to help them and the other people are standing around they should have jumped in and offered to help me the other guy they didn't even care that I walked out as I was walking out they just went on about their business they didn't care that I was a customer walking out the door don't worry I won't be back I'll get my ink from Walmart read more

I had a nice overall experience at this store.  First the computer used for internet access wouldn't take my credit card.  Guy told me it was my credit card company who declined transaction and I just knew it wasn't.  He allowed me to use Staples telephone to call American Express which was nice.  American Express said they did not see any transaction at Staples so apparently their system wasn't working properly and my instinct was right.  Additionally their copier took my credit card so that confirmed that the computer for internet access had its own issues.  So he allowed me to use Staples employee computer to print out what I needed from the internet.  Very nice again...right?  Then I wanted to fax forms but it was like $20 to fax a few pages.  That seemed ridiculously expensive, but guy told me scanning is much less expensive.  He was right and was around as I requested in case anything went wrong with scanning.  All worked out and I got done what I needed.  Guy employee was knowledgeable and beyond helpful! When I complimented his stellar work, he down played the whole thing. Besides fixing their computer to accept credit cards, there's nothing more I could ask for. read more

You'd be better off burning your money. This Staples is what nightmares are made of. I can not wait until Amazon shut them down. Getting here is easy right off 287 and 2 ways into the lot. There is a ton of parking and the area is pretty safe to go even late night. The store itself is the problem. Employees although while some are nice don't have a clue. If you ask them questions they will need to ask 10 other people to get the answer but the problem is they don't they just say I don't know. A 3 dollar binder is going to cost you about $30 and your left kidney. Employees are often talking about their social life or how the store kills it. I heard one talk about how a manager got them food but how they still hate him, I mean come on why on the main floor? He could be my dad for all you know. read more

i'm a few weeks late on this review but needs to be said. This happened about a week before Christmas. Noticed a lot of new staff - all very young and act as if they would rather be anywhere but here. In the pen/pencil aisle, I had picked up a box of pencils but the bottom of the box had been opened and all of the pencils fell out all over the shelf & floor. There was an associate literally standing right next to me. He glanced down at the pencils and walked away without saying a word. I cleaned up the mess (I would've done it anyway, but some help would've been nice). When I went to check out, I was the first person on line. There was an associate standing at the register. I obeyed the sign, waiting to be called by the next associate. The associate glanced at me, then continued scrolling through her phone. She finally spoke - while still looking down - and I realized she was speaking to me. I said hello. I think she grunted. She scanned my order and still glancing down at her Facebook, spoke in a monotone voice as if reading from a script, barely acknowledged me. I almost wanted to apologize for disturbing her social media time. I now go to the Staples in Scarsdale where the staff is much more helpful and professional. Did I mention I live less than 2 miles from the Elmsford shop? Yep - i'd rather drive to Scarsdale than deal with that staff again. read more
