I was clearly told that no appointment was needed and I could simply bring it in. Based on that, we made the trip to the store, only to be told there was no tech person on site. We were then advised to come back the next day because a service ticket would need to be opened and it "wouldn't be good" to leave the computer overnight. When we asked what time the technician would be available, the associate didn't have a clear answer and had to check their phone, eventually saying "around 11am to maybe 7pm." There was no clear communication, no consistency, and no real attempt to be helpful. It ended up being a complete waste of time. I strongly suggest better staff training so customers are given accurate information before making unnecessary trips

But... we all have bad days. That doesn't warrant a Yelp review. Sans, a funky young artist, came and helped me with templates and designs for over one hour. In that time, Alexander helped the Puerto Rican lady and another two African American ladies. He joked with all them, smiled shining, was extremely cooperative and as ugly as it is, I thought... We worked with Rafael (i believe) and he helped us for over an hour and over two days emailing, chatting and just keeping the good vibes going as we delt with this annoying task. They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.
