I was clearly told that no appointment was needed and I could simply bring it in. Based on that, we made the trip to the store, only to be told there was no tech person on site. We were then advised to come back the next day because a service ticket would need to be opened and it "wouldn't be good" to leave the computer overnight. When we asked what time the technician would be available, the associate didn't have a clear answer and had to check their phone, eventually saying "around 11am to maybe 7pm." There was no clear communication, no consistency, and no real attempt to be helpful. It ended up being a complete waste of time. I strongly suggest better staff training so customers are given accurate information before making unnecessary trips

When you finally get assistance, the greeting is anything but warm. One heavy-set male employee was particularly rude and unpleasant. I overheard him complaining about customers being "a nightmare." Perhaps a friendlier approach would lead to better interactions. It costs nothing to be courteous. He also charged me for additional postage, claiming my larger envelope required it. After speaking with another postal employee, I was told that extra postage wasn't necessary. Between the poor service and the inconsistent information, this was a frustrating experience. The staff clearly need retraining in customer service and postage requirements. Customers deserve courteous treatment and accurate information.

Now, sometimes people complain about this place that they have to pay a small fee to drop off or pick up a package from an outside carrier like FedEx or UPS when they have prepaid label, but you have to remember how expensive Williamsburg rent is!!!! and how lucky we are to still have an independent store to do photocopying, send overnight express packages, do complicated printing jobs, and always have the owner there who cares about you and knows your name. When the recipient received the package, he [rightfully] complained about the damage to the expensive device which was clearly the result of very poor packaging. Manager (and subsequently owner) of the shop took absolutely zero responsibility, refusing the provide a credit for the packaging cost or credit to the purchaser. They insisted that we file a claim with the shipper, which we will not do, because it was clearly horribly packaged and is not related to the shipping of the item.
